It's painfully obvious to me that he's picked 2 slow characters and I don't even play the game.
He uses them because they can do simple combo's to get decent damage (that Thanos combo he keeps using)
He commented in one match that a Gamora player was doing simpleton combo's that he can easily do - but then never uses her himself because he knows he won't be able to do them consistently.

Lol, seriously. IHeartJustice made Phoenix fucking Wright viable in a tournament setting in UMVC3, and had a really solid Cap. Even offline, Phil would have gotten absolutely trounced.

There are two huge fundamentals of fighting games that this man lacks entirely: Adaptability and the ability to distinguish one fighting game and its mechanics to any other fighting game that has something different. He still tries to play MvC like it's Street Fighter or something instead of its own game with its own rules and tactics and when he's met with anything new, he fails to learn and change his technique up to meet the challenge. This man could not survive in any serious tournament today, he can't change at all from some standard he's set in his head.

Yeah, when I picked up this game, my first match was with Thanos and Hulk, I quickly learned that speed is kinda necessary in this game.

Vault Boy, doin' the lord's work. I got some input (haha) on the level of DSP's game. His match against the Gamora/Thanos team was a person using the auto combo function. All one has to do with that one is just hit your attacks in sequence and you'll get a pretty good combo. The fact that he gets tagged by that isn't surprising as he tries to push block everything. Even in the matches where the opponent isn't using auto combo. Push blocking is hitting the punches with proper timing upon block. Done *correctly* it can give ya breathing room and even reflect projectiles like the hadou-ken. Done incorrectly you'll do an attack and leave yourself open to all manner of combo's. Everytime I watch him play SFV, MvCI, DBFZ, or any fighting game where it shows the counter text and see him saying he was blocking I just want to remind him: “Just because you’re holding back to block, doesn’t mean you ca throw out moves”
This is fighting game 101: “Any move is grounds for being punished by another move and is classified as a counter. The more exposed the move leaves you, or the more you spam it against aggressive opponents, the more likely you’ll be punished.” Not to mention you can’t block and attack at the same time.
So I just got Marvel Infinite, and I have to say every time I lose a game it felt completely fair.
This game is all about team synergy, and correct inputs not massing.
Even with easy combos on you can only do one super and nothing.

He shouldn't expect Marvel Infinite to play Street Fighter. The developers designed the new switching mechanic to allow for relentless pressure and tricky setups that are hard to block. They *want* players to exploit this system to its fullest, too. So he shouldn't call other people "scrubs" for playing the game as intended.

Two worlds of salty collide I think these games show off how utterly bad Phil really is or at least how much worse he's gotten. Look at this guy he learns nothing about what's going on in his matches instead whines like a bitch about it to the game or the opponent who gets 100+ combos but still acts like he knows more than everyone else. He'll proclaim the game sucks and keep playing the game regardless and this is after nearly every match and these matches will be individual videos getting less and less views.

it's really amazing the reality that dsp seems to live in where an opponent locking him down and doing their practiced combos somehow means they are the one that is bad and not him.
