Small correction. I haven't seen those older Christopher Reeves films since I was a child and apparently he had them depowered, thrown into a chasm, then arrested. However, on more than one occasion I've seen Superman have no choice but to take out Zod permanently. So my overall point still stands.

SUPES is my favorite super-hero,tied with Batman. And I do think Supes is wayyy to op,boring. He doesn't have any character flaws to improve upon,no REAL weaknesses to over-come. Supes rogue's gallery is very slim,not enough foes who can actually hurt or hinder him in a battle. And I LOVED Man of Steel !!! Thought it was a-GREAT-film too. LOL. MOS brought Supes kicking and screaming into modern audiences attentions,I've seen youtubers reactting to MOS and really liking the film.

My only issue with man of steel is that Superman didn’t have to kill general zodd, instead overpower him that forces them away from earth. Of course he would return but I would have assumed they had movies planned after that and a more thought out dceu.

Christopher Reeve's Superman didn't kill Zod in either version of Superman 2, so it isn't a fair comparison to man of steel, which had Superman kill Zod in a completely forced situation, when the other kryptonians were sent back to the phantom zone. Man of steel is simply not the best representation of what makes Superman such a great superhero. Aside from this personal nitpick, this video does a good job of showing what makes Superman such a great superhero and debatably the greatest superhero.

You know what, my pops actually said that I probably didn't remember that film properly because I was so young but he actually had them arrested. I'll add a pinned comment to correct myself. But my overall point of me having experienced Supes TAKE OUT ZOD stands. Appreciate the love though!
