Two things I think you forgot, you can begin to draw a curve and hit shift while you go into the canvas and it will loop around a circular shape, if you do the same over a edgeloop in a zremeshed subtool it will loop the curve around the edgeloop, also, don't forget to disable symmetry when doing frame mesh if the curve goes beyond the symmetry line or you will create two overlapping meshes. Anyway, thanks for the video, I'm sure I'll come back to it, these are so useful but so hard to remember all the settings.
Listen, I'm so glad that I found your channel. This is the second video I have seen and love the way how clear and interesting you are showing the way you do it. It's just fun to watch like a movie and not boring and very informative! Thanks , you are doing it great!
Watching the part with the scribe brush was very useful and a little frustrating thinking back to all the hardsurface pannel I cut in by hand. Just add a poly group> frame mesh polygroup> add some subD> then use the scribe.
Good video. I am using curve brushes a lot (curvetube) with Brush modifier for exact sides and Frame mesh function. But its different usage. I like watching tuts from different People. Thanks
TNice tutorials video is a great introduction to soft soft for beginners. I would Nice tutorialghly recomnd tNice tutorials tutorial to anyone starting out with soft soft.
How can we edit the curve after finish? For example, I thought I'm done with the curve and switched to another mesh. Can I switch to edit the curve again?
Hey Hart! I have a question: what is your Tablet setup? How did you put the tablet suspended? Is the gas arm? Where did you put your kerboard? Could you please say how you do? I have some problems with space, cause my tablet (with screen, like yours) its too big and get longer from me, because my keyboard its between me and the tablet :( help pleasseeee :(
hi .despite me applying 'weld points' and 'stretch'. there is a visible gap in my rope. i still tried continuing and fininshing the tutorial but that gap makes the seam visible. help.
For some bizarre reason my CURVE SNAP function no longer works. The initial point of the curve sticks to the surface, but the rest of the curve will conform to current screen plane. Even manipulating the curve after drawing , it doesn't snap to the surface. I have no idea whats going on. Its really made working with curves all but useless for me.
That's super weird. I'll mess around with it and let you know if I can figure out a reason why. It could be related to focal shift but I'm not positive
Maybe under picker menu, under depth, you have ONCE Z on, if you have CONT Z on it will continue to snap to surface, if once z is on instead the inital point of the curve is the only point where it will stick.
Is there a way to get a curve line back after you click off onto the mesh? I’m guessing their probably isn’t, is there? I have a real love hate relationship with curves in zbrush, blender curves are more straight forward but very tedious (which I guess all curves are tedious if you’re placing loads of them) zbrush curves feel more fun to use but harder to control (maybe I’m just not used to them yet) I wish you could groom curves similar to fibermesh strands, now that would be awesome.
unfortunately I do not believe there is a way to get the curve back other than undo and redrawing. I agree with you though like most zbrush tools they are very powerful but have a lot of gotchas that you have to work through and learn so that you don’t trip over yourself. Sometimes if you’re struggling to hand draw a curve it might be easier to generate the curve from the edge of a mesh or polygroup instead
@@hartgameart yeah curve functions and frame are super handy for controlling fr, just blob out a hair shape > remesh it stupid low and crease a couple of edges, frame those and the add a hair curve… actually pretty decent workflow! Have you checked out the zbrush “image breakdown” video of the Ryu? The way the artist did the hair in that is pretty sweet!
I'm not familiar with a way to generate a curve directly from a mask but you can turn your mask into a polygroup (ctrl+w) and then generate the curve from that. It will likely give you two curves on both sides but you can just delete one. I like the idea of being able to make from straight from a mask stroke though, that would be cool
there is something that is driving me crazy about all curve brushes in Zbrush : How the Hell do i get rid of the dotted line after i applied a tube to a modell?
It’s not immediately clear but you should be able to tap on the model you’re drawing your curve on to delete the line. If that doesn’t work you can go to stroke>curve functions>delete and it will clear those up for you
This video was better than my 2 term zbrush course in college, thank you so much

The explanation was very detailed, exactly what I needed. Thank you for sharing!!!
i've started to study sculpt on zbrush recently, there so much things to learn... thx a lot for the video!
6:37 Hahaha! Oh man, I relate to this so much. You don't realize how many slip ups are made in regular speech until you try and record yourself.
exactly haha

TNice tutorials tutorial is so useful,I tried tons of other tutorials but tNice tutorials was the best one
I didn't even notice scribe brushes were a thing. I bet jeweler gang LOVES that.
This is superb! You really present everything in a very clear way.
Thanks so much for this awesome video! The details were covered thoroughly and easy to listen and follow!🙏👏👍
Yeah it's magical 😂

Thank you... Complet and interesting!
um dos melhores vídeos de Zbrush que eu já vi! muito obrigado!
This is the best IMM brushes video. And the neural network perfectly translated this video into Russian.
Danke
this was super useful, thank you so much! 🤩
So Handy, Much Appreciated!
Great tutorial! Very helpful.
Excellent.
8:17 this is WILD
Thank you so much for your knowledge!!!!!!! helped me a looooottt
ahh ... i was wondering if a curve insert mesh would retain it's UVs when drawn out, and it does. thx!
Awesome video mate, big thank you
truly lifechanging....
Very helpful👏 Thank you
Excellent tutorial!
Really informative video. Thanks!
Super!

Hello, I can’t weld the points. What could be the problem?
get it.
Love your content!!
How would you go about making a frill imm curve brush?
hi .despite me applying 'weld points' and 'stretch'. there is a visible gap in my rope. i still tried continuing and fininshing the tutorial but that gap makes the seam visible. help.
Is the master channel of the setuper peaking into the red? If you have any peaks over 0dB it will distort. Please do let know, We will get
It might of been on this video. Audio is definitely the thing i’ve been tweaking and trying to get right
Very informative 👌👌
Thanks 😊 👍
Million dollar question is how do you get the start of the curve to orient to the surface of the geo you are drawing on...
did you ever figure this out? It’s killing me

Share me your workspace of zbrush pls

I dont think Tab is the original hotkey for deleting curve.
how downlaod IMM brush? help me pls
Damn i never knew what Stroke interpolate does despite doing zbrush for 4 yrs. ~
@hart is it possible to creat a curve from mask? (and not from polygroup or crease)
