    Thank you for sharing these stories with us. Yes I agree Paiste are the best cymbals. They are musical instruments.

    That ride cymbal angle.

      @cederickforsberg5840 Год назад +1

      You should try it. Its really nice =)
      Once I started angling my ride like that it just made playing it easier because you dont have to fight with gravity so much

      @@cederickforsberg5840 The main concern for me is keyholing over time. I don’t have a Paiste endorsement, so replacement 22” Masters Dark Ride would be pretty expensive haha

      @@HaloAdmiral Im having my ride on a half-way between flat and vertical, circa 45 degree, and we will see about keyholing.
      I actually have a Nicko Signature reflector ride but mostly use Rude 24" Eclipse
      If I ever experience keyholing I will change to flatter :)

    He mentioned that he cleans the cymbals. What does he use to clean them? I know Paiste cymbals have a light clear coating of some kind on them and certain cleaners will remove that coating, which of course you don’t want to remove that coating.

    • @drummaman1
      @drummaman1 2 года назад +3

      Since he does it every day, I don't think he uses any chemicals or cleaners. If you wipe down the cymbal after you've played it, the protective film is such that any stray fingerprints just come off!. I do it with my Sigs and 2002s after every gig, but not when I'm practicing, so, there's that.

      If you need more than a wipe down, liquid soap and a warm rinse with water will remove most marks on the cymbal.

      Paiste make there own cymbal cleaner, works far better than any of the others I have tried AND they make another product which adds the layer that your talking about. I have 2002s and it makes them look brand new

    • @gtdrummer6429
      @gtdrummer6429 Год назад

      @@zeppelinrules1077 I know Paiste used to make that cleaner for their cymbals, but the last time I called and talked to a rep he told me they had been out of that product for a while and he wasn’t sure if they were going to continue making it or not. He told me to keep from removing the protective film to just use warm water and dawn dish soap on my 2002 and Signature series cymbals. I haven’t checked back for quite a while though to see if they’re making/selling their cleaner again.

    Is it just me or that ride cymbal ends up hitting that tom-tom while playing it? More like the metal drum hoop of that tom-tom that it ends up hitting?
