Robert,I like to give you a hard time once in a while. But as a fellow business owner,I appreciate your work ethic and that you give a 100 percent in all you do, except you couldn't do it without Lita. Thks
The looks Lita was giving the camera at the 25:17 mark were priceless! “WTF are you looking at?!” 😂 She has some of the best content! Ya’ll be safe, Robert and Lita! 🐶 🐶 🏍🇺🇸🎒
People who wine are sitting on a couch in their parents basement. They are the ones that think their input will save the world. Always measure twice and cut once! Truck looks great!
Looking good Robert, you never cease to amaze me with your abilities and fearlessness to attack anything. Hopefully rates will get better maybe if we get a new administration. Be safe out there.
robert your a cool trucker and thats all i can say.down to earth hardworking with a good gal by your side.i was like that back in the late 70s early 80s but had no woman by my side that was my downfall got to lonely and left the trade.i remember that day i told kenny knudsen i quit i hate driving truck for you.he sent his wife into a bar at 12 am and she pulled me by my hair we have a load of swinging meat and you will take it to nevada or your fired!.crazy times.i did pull that load drunk for aways with a cabover pete 13 speed.5 miles in i sobered up quick realizing that was my life got load delivered.so much for dancing and trying to meet a mate at bar
While watching this video you passed in front of my work! Pretty cool if you ask me! I'm in Bainbridge, ga. Would have been cool to meet yall, maybe next time!
Look good Robeert just one thing from my experience for the first few weeks keep your eye on the bolts as thry will viabrate loose very quickly untill ettled in I even put nylock nuts on as a back up so they would not come loose. Keep up the good work .
Awhile back Ivhad asked about your property you purchased in the mountains and after Watching this video I see that the property was in Utah and not North Carolina as I had thought it was. Good luck you guys and safe travels. Duane
Fenders look great but you might want to tilt the back of the fender down in back so don't get into the fender with the trailer when you get in a dip, now take them ugly hub caps off be safe great video 🎉❤
That was the last time I saw the Mack your son was working on the wiring harness thanks for the leaf blower update and demo it looks like a bad ass over sized nerf gun before you put nozzle on the plastic might be to prevent the bolts from rust
BTW, I figured out when I bought mine it is actually "Hogebuilt", not "Hodgebuilt" (no "D" in it). I pull dry van so I just put Hoge 1/4 fenders on my T680 about 2 months ago. The KW plastic ones were self destructing.
Big oil and big business is more to blame than politics. The oil companies are having record profits and continue to keep prices high as you know fuel costs affect every thing
Fenders look good, but I hooe you don't have a blowout on one of the tires....but you don't use re-caps, so hopefully it wont be a problem. A blowout will wad those fenders up with re-treads. The fenders will help keep some of the road grime from getting all over the truck.
It’s a challenge I believe for parents to educate their kids on these issues with teachers teaching what they say and other kids are taught and learning they are given everything look at these kids they want everything and parents want tax payers to pay everything and it’s not good 😊
The finders look nice on the truck. Now I suppose you will be looking for a milk crate to hold all of the stainless-steel cleaners, polishers and other supplies to keep them looking good. Have good days!
@@elcomandante9299 In the US, some dairies use "milk crates" to stack cartons of milk like pint or half pint containers. Maybe they get 24 - 30 in one crate. Google may have a photo of one. 🤣🤣at you!
They are 304 stainless which is the most commin and ine of the lrast expensive alloys. It has a lower nickle content than 403 or other grades. And yes staunkess steel will rust depending on the alloy that it is.

I would think the rubber bits are for the brackets and fender for vibration, also stainless steel very much tarnishes and rusts. People who just spent $100K on the new Tesla cyber truck, are complaining about rust and tarnish spots.
HAD DIAMOND PLATE ONE OF MY TRUCKS YEARS AGO BUT THEY ALWAYS VIBRATED LOOSE. LOOKED REALLY NICE THOUGH WHEN POLISHED. I LATER SWITCHED TO THE PLASTIC MINIMIZERS AND THEY STAY TIGHT AND DON'T COME LOOSE AND THEY ARE JUST PLAIN BLACK. YOU CAN GET DIFFERENT COLORS IF YOU WANT THAT LOOK LIKE CHROME OR STAINLESSBUT ARE PLASTIC. HAVE A FRIEND THAT HAS FIBERGLASS ONES. FIBERGLASS ONES CAN BE REPAIRED ACTUALLY A LITTLE EASIER.
I like the fenders am afraid that bolt set up on the back will not last tho i believe they will vibrate and break the bolts then you will run over the broken bolt and blow a drive tire thats just my guess though
the 400 series of stainless is magnetic so apparently it has some regular steel or iron in it and that is what will rust and the 400 series is what they use for surgical steel like scalpels and such
All stainless steel contains large amounts of iron, that is not why 430 stainless is magnetic. The crystalline structure is different than it is in 300 grade stainless steels, that is why it is magnetic. As he described the corrosion is along the heat affected zone of the weld. Welding can affect the chromium oxide layer which is what actually provides the corrosion resistance. Passivation process to restore that oxide layer after welding may not have been successful. However it will heal itself over time, stainless usually does that, especially if it is polished in the affected area.
You need to Rust-Oleum over the por 15 Robert. It says it on the can goofy. Its not uv resistant but it stop rust alot better than Rust-Oleum alone. Those rubbers keep it from rattling bro.
The best Stainless is 316L. Almost 0 carbon in its makeup. 304 has small amounts of carbon in its makeup. 308 has more carbon and so on. Your SS fenders 430 so typically the carbon is 0.08 to 0.12 percent. The more carbon in the material means you might see some rust spots developing. So keep them waxed.
The carbon content has only a small effect on corrosion resistance, it is mostly the alloys added, particularly chromium and nickel. 430 stainless steel does not have nickel content, but it still has very effective corrosion resistance. This is not a very difficult application as far as corrosion. 430 stainless is significantly less expensive than 300 grades, and is often used in these type of applications. It is magnetic because it has a different crystalline structure than 300 grade stainless, not for any other reason. All stainless steel is subject to corrosion in the heat affected zone of a weld, mainly due to chromium depletion. Proper passivation of the area after welding will restore the chromium oxide layer and prevent "rust".
My comment on addressed the small carbon content in the 430 grade material. The carbon does not prevent rust it makes it happen if there’s enough of it present. Your comment about the welding is correct. Robert mentioned the weld which had rusted. So they did do a good job there when fabricated. SS is brittle, 316 when pulled will just break with almost no elongation at 90,000 psi.
Not necessarily true. It just proves it's one series vs another. In fact, the SS used in most industrial pump shafts, is 400 series magnetic usually 420, not very different from the 430 these are made of. And 440 stainless is well known for making corrosion resistant knives. Being between those two types of stainless is not a terrible thing. A truck fender is not in what's considered an aggressively corrosive environment where the most corrosion resistant alloys have to be used. Just look at what the truck frame itself is made of, and it still manages to last the expected lifetime of the truck. Not everything has to be made of 304 stainless like a kitchen sink. Similarly, a lot of stuff made of 316 or 316L, could be made of cheaper 304 or even 302. Sometimes a more expensive material is designed just to make it easier to weld, then people assume it's better stuff even if it will never be welded.
Do you guys still have that property in Utah? Would be awesome if you could put up a tiny home setup and a shed and be off grid up there. Could park the semi at the nearest town and stay away from east coast traffic. I was pretty excited to see that channel grow!
There are different grades of stainless steal. If you see rust from stainless steal its a low grade. 316 is the best and most expensive, then 304 and 420, and 409
They look good, great job Robert.

The rubber strips go between the bracket and the fender to keep it from rattling
That makes sense! Good catch.

Great job robert as allways keep the content comeing
Oh sweet, I'll have to save this one. Looking to get a set for mine, damn rocks keep hitting my light bars and dent my sleeper.

dude you are cranking them out. I would have been here sooner but doing the intro for my DQ video coming out in a couple days

I’m glad to see the opener with you jumping, I missed them when you stop using it on a few videos
I hope those new fenders work as good as they look.

Hello Robert now you need to find some low profile strap winches for use on the upper deck of the trailer.
good job now you got a show truck kick the boy out tuff love
Looks great Robert great job 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I'm thinking those rubber pieces are vibration isolators that go between the bracket and the fender...I could be wrong???
Those Chrome fenders look very nice on your truck and it is a lot of hard work to put them on too..Keep on trucking..😊
That should be your new/old intro, “is this camera dirty? (Wipe)” lol so funny

The air dump valve is operated by air- you need air in the system for it to work.
Wow them look pretty good, Get-R-Done driver. Yall be safe
Fenders look great but you might want to tilt the back of the fender down in back so don't get into the fender with the trailer when you get in a dip, now take them ugly hub caps off be safe great video 🎉❤
Those are not hub caps...lol..
Wheel covers or wwhat ever you want to call them what makes the difference you new what i was talking about@@dustinhuffman574
Fenders look great! I would suggest adding grip tape on top because those are gonna be slick when they are wet
That was the last time I saw the Mack your son was working on the wiring harness thanks for the leaf blower update and demo it looks like a bad ass over sized nerf gun before you put nozzle on the plastic might be to prevent the bolts from rust
I thought I saw the Mack shed a few tears of coolant, as Robert spent all that time with the T-680.
Don't lose that intro, Stay Blessed.

Hi Robert and Lita
👍👍👍👍 thank for the video. By until next time

Robert I really like the new fenders they give the truck a more sleek look 😊
Yea, the BCM won’t dump the bags unless you have 60-80 PSI. It’s smart. It won’t let you dump them without being able to air them back up.
Fenders look good, but I hooe you don't have a blowout on one of the tires....but you don't use re-caps, so hopefully it wont be a problem. A blowout will wad those fenders up with re-treads.
The fenders will help keep some of the road grime from getting all over the truck.
rush converter not paint on the rust areas

I have half fenders on mine and have to use a 5th wheel puller and hook it from underneath to pull the handle
Hi both. Nice job stay safe👍🇬🇧
i was watching the snowstorm in cali.and tow truck guy said outa of the 40 trucks stuck 35 of them truckdrivers spoke no english thats crazy to me
Robert, add some no skid strips right over those back support brackets. Then only step on the taped areas.
That looks nice!

Nice looks good man

Looks good, now pull those wheel covers off !!
The fenders are the deal…take off them lowflo things and those wheel covers and youd be lookin good..just my opinion..nice job
Looks nice.
Looks good, although I believe black fenders would have looked much nicer with the truck.
Or white
While your taking those wheel covers loose the ugly flow belows too
Looks sweeeeet Robert 💪💯
nice attire robert
