Cleveland Browns fans apologize to QB Joe Flacco for hating him while he was with Baltimore Ravens

- Joe Flacco has taken the reins of the Cleveland Browns and has them on the verge of a playoff spot, but as we all known, his brightest days in the NFL came with the rival Baltimore Ravens.
During his days in Baltimore, Flacco dominated the Browns to the tune of a 17-3 record, even winning a Super Bowl ring in the process. Adding insult to injury, he even led the New York Jets (the team he will now face Thursday night) to a miraculous victory over Cleveland in 2022.
But now that Flacco wears the Orange and Brown, are Cleveland fans willing to apologize for their past "mean words"? Mike Polk Jr. went to West 6th Street to find out.

@@denniswilkerson5536 Well, considering their long history of failure, the Bengals have always played the Ravens tough. The Bengals are 26-30 (.464,) all-time against the Ravens, which is actually slightly better than their all-time winning pct of .456. Still a losing record, but not as embarrassingly bad as the Browns winning pct all-time against the Ravens (.280). Against Joe Flacco, the Bengals are 12-9, which is not exactly dominant, but is over .500 🙌🏻. They were 1-1 against Joe in 2012, the year Joe won Super Bowl MVP. But Joe is 18-3 all-time against the Browns. That's dominant. And now, Joe is playing for the Browns. We'll see what Joe (who has carried the Browns to the playoffs this season) will do this Sunday against the Bengals (who are already eliminated from the playoffs).

Fun fact: If Flacco beats the Ravens in the playoffs he'll become only the 5th QB to have at least one win against all 32 NFL teams. I know you're not rooting for that but it would be awesome if he did it. That might put him in the HOF.

Joe is cerebral in the playoffs and you know it. 6-0 in the opening round. 10-5 playoff record with 7 road wins. If the Browns didn't have Flacco the ravens would be a lock to make the SB. Between Joe's playoff accolades and Lamar's elite athletic ability, we both know it's going to be those two teams in the AFCCG. And whoever wins gets the ring. There isn't a NFC team that can match up to either. Both of them beat the niners. And they are without a doubt the best team in the NFC. And Ravens fans get bragging rights either way. Joe Flacco was their first franchise QB. So even if he beats the ravens and wins his second SB he'll still retire a Raven and add another bust in Canton when he gets inducted.

I’m a Ravens fan and I got to say that the Browns are so lucky to have Smokin Joe as their quarterback. It’s nice to see the Browns fan finally show Joe that he is appreciated. We here in Baltimore have always loved him and now we miss him. There’s a possibility we may play against Joe in the playoffs and that not only breaks my heart but also worries me.

Was never a Lamar fan, and I don't feel a closeness to this team or franchise like I did for the 1998 to 2014 squads. Used to be a season ticket holder, and was sick of getting a cavity search every time I went to the stadium. Also, I feel (and this applies to all teams/sports leagues) that my passion for the team was being exploited to pay $12 for a water whenever I saw them play. Dammit I gotta cheer for Joe he was our guy for years 5 straight playoff appearances at least 1 win every year from 2008-2012 including the epic Playoff run knocking out the Colts, Peyton Manning lead Broncos and Tom Brady lead Patriots on the road and of course lead us to our 2nd Superbowl title. An Andrew Luck led Colts was no slouch either! It was the greatest playoff run I've watched in my entire short life. I will never forget it. I'm so glad I went to M&T Stadium for the victory celebration!

Nope. After he beats the ravens in the playoffs and wins his second SB he'll retire. He'll be a lock for the HOF. Doing those two things will not only give him two rings but will make him only the 5th QB to have at least one win against all 32 teams. As an added bones he'll be the only QB that was never one and done in the playoffs and he'll have 10 road playoff wins. A record that will probably never be broken. With that resume there is no way he won't get in.

As a Ravens fan, I knew Flacco still has plenty left in the tank to play football even though my team moved on with Lamar Jackson at the helm. He couldn't do it with the Broncos and Jets but the Browns is the best hit for him. I hope they give him a new contract so he can play for many more years to come.

I'm a Ravens fan and have been since the beginning. I was a Bmore Colt fan prior to them leaving. It was sad for Bmore to have to take Cleveland's team, but the NFL commissioner at the time said Bmore would never get an expansion team and just build yourselves a museum with Colt memories. Anyway, when Bmore got the Browns, the people of Maryland voted to give the Brown's name back to Cleveland, something the Irsays refused to do for Bmore. I thought I'd clear that up. I was so glad for Cleveland to get their team back because I know what it's like to lose the team you love. Fortunately, the Ravens have been a great team, and Joe Flacco was a big part of their success. I have followed Joe his entire career, and in his less than great years, he played with serious injuries. Im so happy for him and many of the older Ravens fan as myself still cheer for Joe. I wish him nothing but success and a great life. It's still going to be weird if the Browns and the Ravens play in the championship to see who goes to the Superbowl. I will root for whoever wins, but I'll definitely be conflicted during that game if it happens.

Would that result help quell the bad blood between these franchises from the ugly divorce initiated by Art Modell when he relocated the old Browns to Baltimore to become the Ravens -- burying the proverbial hatchet for once and for all? Of course, the ordinary inter-conference rivalry would remain intact but no longer with that particular emotional trauma baggage attached, or will that wound never entirely heal?

Joe Flacco should have never been released from the ravens in the first place. He was elite on the ravens and helped them win a Super Bowl also winning Super Bowl mvp. They replaced him with Lamar Jackson who although elite has never helped them win a Super Bowl. Flacco came In first place with them while last Jackson has never came in first place with them.
Joe Flacco would have literally been murdered behind the shitshow O-line the Ravens had when Lamar took over. Letting Flacco go was for his own good, No one survives 80 sacks a season. He was not the right quarterback for the mediocre team that the Ravens were at that time. Love Flacco, and I didn’t think he was done at the time, but the Ravens line couldn’t give him the protection he needed to be successful. I’m glad he’s finally on a team that is built for his game again.
