Kurt Warner humiliated superior teams late in his career with the Cardinals by doing his job, not making mistakes, and getting key throws when he needed to. There's no reason why Flacco can't do the same thing.

Brady's wins: 01 vs Steelers(actually shouldn't count), 04 vs Steelers, 06 vs chargers, 18 vs chiefs, 20(buccaneers) vs redskins/saints/Packers. That's it. 7 wins. Article said 9. They just don't exist. Flacco: 08 vs dolphins/titans, 09 vs Patriots, 10 vs chiefs, 12 vs broncos/Patriots, 14 vs Steelers. Also 7 wins. So they're tied, both statements are true but I'll never count 01 Steelers as a Brady win personally. Wilson is guaranteed 39 mil no matter what for next season. If cut before March, they have 68 mil in dead cap for 2024- they keep him, it’s 85 mil over 2024 and 25. They’d rather suffer more for one season of roster-building than prolong it to two. Denver is hoping another team will take the 22 mil option bonus to cut down from that 68.
Both contracts weren’t smart moves by either team- obviously for different reasons between the two, and each team is dealing with it in their own way given what the situation is, who the team already has, and what it needs(that’s not me saying I agree with all of it in any way).
But a *big* difference is Stidham has agreed to a 2 yr 10mil deal for Denver.. and Payton is clearly calling the shots there. I was a Southwest Airlines pilot and flew the Ravens from their Florida camp to Baltimore many years ago. The flight attendants told us that there was a football team on board so when we landed I got out of the cockpit early to see for myself. When I got to the jetway there was a big guy waiting for his teammates there. I asked if he was a player and he said yes. I asked what position and he said, "Quarterback, I'm Joe Flaco," and extended his hand for a handshake. It was his rookie year and I hadn't heard of him. He seemed to be a really nice, normal guy. I've been a fan ever since. I'm very happy to see him back on the field kicking ass and taking names.

Ive supported Flacco since the very night he was drafted. I argued for him being "Elite" for years when he was with Ravens. This guy had to earn every $ he got and he is arguably the 2nd best post season qb ever. If he had better talent around him and didnt have to go thru learning 5 different offenses after all our coordinators kept leaving, then he would have surely put up better stats and had a better record. The drafting and decision making the last few years of Flaccos time with the Ravens was not great. But im not surprised at all that he finally goes to a team with a loaded roster and puts up numbers for them.
