And something else came to me haha, if this was a wildcard where there are limitations and you can't use automation or distortion, what would your process be? Just the compressor and eq from the beginning?

Great video, it is really nice you share some technical knowledge with the beatboxing community.
I think you could cut some reverb in the short breaks so you wont have noise coming after a big snare or when codfish stops doing throat base..
Also, I think you could ease the EQ on the part when he does "shhjj" before a kick and to lower the high frequencys on the snare so the nose breathing wouldnt be so loud.

Bro, honestly big up, big up, big up for this. I remember asking you to do tut's on mixing and mastering in Logic a while back, and you've done it!! Never knew you could use Infected Mushroom as a limiter, always slapped on Ad Limiters lol. Bro could you please do some tutorials on how to mix and master loop tracks? Especially generic tracks. Massive respect brooks!! Keep these coming! 🧑🚒❤🔥

Where did you learn to approach mixing beatbox? I could only ever think to use an eq my audio knowledge is not so fluent haha. But this helps a lot thank you
I‘m a beatboxer myself and I always wanted to achieve a level where beatboxing can compete with popular music genres. Started to take workshops, went to uni to learn basic mixing skills and then developed my own mixing style for beatboxing.

@@Madoxbeatbox settle or subtle? Most people get it anyway but subtle might be the correct word. To imagine how subtle is kind of used, imagine a dark room and your eyes slowly adjust and you barely begin to see an object

@@sebastianfeldhof8323 well I hate how they handle some things too. But the plugins work for me pretty nicely. I don‘t rely completely on waves, but what enjoy on their plugins is that they are easy to use. I don‘t want to spend weeks to learn a plugin that I might never use again.
@@Madoxbeatbox yes I fully understand and they def have a lot classics, the r line is classic and solid. I would recommand all fabfilter and a lot pa plugins, digital v3 eq is superb and I love their compressor and saturators, soundtoys also really good.
