We need melanistic lion and great one lion does not exist I think
I've always seen the lion GO to be similar to a barbary lion, with extensive mane growth and bigger general size. As for variations, they are a bit more limited if they want to be realistic, but seeing as most moose GO furs aren't realistic they could take some liberties! Scars, multi-tone mane, crooked tail, missing eye etc etc, there are many possibilities!
Silver. Spotted. Striped. King Fur? big cats actually have tons of fur types especially cheetah inc a blue.

I think another thing they could do for the lion great one is make it more aggressive to put you in trickier situations

Good tip for bears specifically grizzly bears if you watch the ice lakes, right where you come in by the dock you tend to see grizzly bears stay up over there
I think the great one lion should be a black-maned lion. I would be really cool and they are fairly rare in real life.
Well I was about to start setting up my map for lions so this is pretty relevant! As for a great one, some less plausible but still neat fur types could be a fabled melanistic, and a fabled spotted that retained the markings the cubs have into adulthood.
if you need money or xp fast set up at this place I grinded for maybe 4 hours max got about 150k and like 8 levels

I think a great one lion could have a Cape lion variation, for those that don’t know it’s a recently extinct species of lion but it’s dna still exists in some living individuals
I think a fabled Cape buffalo would be cool it could have a bunch of scars and have like a leg of a lion that got pierced by the Cape buffalos horn and ripped off
They could add more than one new Great One in the upcoming update. For example the could/should add the lion and than (to stick with their rule that the Great One must be huntable on the basic maps) something else.
I would be all for that!

cool vid! great one lion is something i REALLY want. i do think that it should have a massive mane in comparison to normal lions. if they made the GO black bear look cool, they definitely could do the same for lions

We definitely need a great one and it would be cool to be able to cut trees that are in the way of your tree stand that would be pretty cool
I get that it would be cool, but if you've noticed, every single great one we have, have been on the 2 base maps. Layton and Hirschfeld, whitetail on Layton, red deer on Hirsch, black bear on Layton, Moose on Layton. it's like this so the community isn't having to pay to get a great one. and chances are it'll be like this for a while. both base maps have fantastic species that would make amazing great ones. Fallow deer, Wild boar, European Bison, red fox, coyote, Blacktail deer, roosevelt elk, Roe deer. there's enough species to make a great one before they put a new great one on a DLC map
I would like them to make an elk or a mule deer great one but i also think a lion great one would be really cool.
A lion go would be awesome however I'd like either a roosevelt or rocky mountain elk go but that's just my opinion.
A Great One Lion would be so cool! Lions are one of my top animals in the game to hunt and it would be cool to see a great one lion. Also a completely black great one lion would be awesome.

I would honestly prefer them to redo the whitetail great one like 3 out of the 6 racks I know of don’t look realistic at all and flat out ugly. like they could make some nice looking non typical racks with different variations of each. But I’d love a mule deer great one aswell. Or just put in a nontypical system 😂
The fantasy fur types have been great don't get me wrong, but I would like something that could occur naturally in the wild. The fabled lucistic would be a good example.
Me too, maybe a mix of both real and fantasy furs could be nice. 3 Realistic ones and 3 not so realistic ones
even a maned lioness would look awesome ,or something like the "tsavo lions" where they dont have impressive manes but perhaps theyd be scarred(healed bullet wounds, claw / bite marks? or just extra aggressive, they could tie it into the story as well. they could even do 2 or 3 different leucistic lions as the fur can range from almost blonde to cream white, some leucs still have colour in their manes while others are really white.
I want every animal to have a great one.

Thank you for this spot. I just got back into the game and found your video about this lion spot. I have killed like 5 or six lions in this spot at one time. No diamonds or great ones yet. I did kill a diamond lion not here but while traveling to this spot this morning.

It would be incredible to add the lion great one to the game, it is one of my favorite animals to hunt and i loved the leucistic lion, it is fantastic!
after getting the savanna DLC, you unlock something called the "470 nitro express." if you dont know what that is, its and elephant gun, use for elephant hunting. but they dont have an elephant in the game. so i beleive their going to add elephants + elephant g1
I think they should carrie a great one for evey species as it would upgrade theyre game even further
Today i was grinding for my first diamond i was hunting New Zealand map and got a Red Deer
Maybe they'll make a leucistic lion and put red scars all over him and one over his eye like scar from the lion king

i think we should definitely have a great one lion but i think it should be scarred up with a black mane and white body
The lions would have to put their manes according to their level of difficulty, for example a very easy three should have a very short or almost non-existent mane, and a legendary nine a long mane

Here's one people aren't thinking about with lion great ones. Say ew wanted it to be really difficult to get. They could go with the lions of tsavo, giant maneless male lions. I just think it would be cool

I would have the great one piece melanistic lion because they can happen in the wild but none have been documented so it’s kinda like a legend or a “fable”. And every one I know what’s a black lion. Just a though.

Idk if u see this but I hope you do in herschfeldon the Germany map there is a target range area and there is a lake there 2 and you can find some tracks that doesn't have an animal pop up either and it kinda looks like a crocodile and I hope you see this and hopefully make a video abt it but it can lead us to a new clue abt the new map
Its saddening im not sure if its the same for other console players but I never see these numbers of any species, devs really need to get console on par with pc considering we pay more for the game on console comparatively to pc games.

Better variations, great one lions can have facial/bodily scars to make it seem like a very experienced older lion.

Love the idea of GO lion, but my idea for them would be one variation of the GO lion would be the extinct giant cape lion, a huge lion with feet as big as elephants feet and pitch black manes, but they could also have multiple variants of the go cape lion kinda like the GO black bears glacier fur type.

I've been grinding lions for a little while now since I do want an albino male and also a bigger diamond and after about maybe 200 kills I finally got a dark brown and it was a level 7 but I probably wouldn't have gotten that if it wasn't for you, flinter, kc to get me back into hunter after the most recent update so thank you guys

Melanistic Lions don't exist IRL but I could see them doing it since we have mela red deer and those aren't real either
