Excellent video. Just got a Dowco cover for my Lowe boat and found the instructions were lacking. No other videos explained the process so thoroughly for us that have never used a boat cover before. Thanks!!
I have towed my boat across the country from California to Arkansas back and forth three times. The trailer and cover have held up. I had to sow my cover not because it tore in the wind, but because I left one of the straps on the ground when I was just moving the trailer about 5 ft.. the strap got caught under the wheel and ripped the cover. I sewed is that with some braided fishing line and it is still kicking. It is well worth the purchase. It's not some cheap cover you get at Walmart or AutoZone for a car that falls apart within a year or so. My boat lives outside primarily and in the sun and rain. It is held up remarkably. Only thing I've done is adding more waterproofing to it
Thanks a million Jaime. We just bought our first boat, a Tracker V175 Combo, and I could not figure out what to do with the poles that came with the cover. It's about to storm so I'm glad I found your video. Tight lines!
Good cover mine lasted five years being stored outside. Also used it on the highway during in climate weather. Bought another one, used a piece of the old one to cover open area near the moter.
Hey, I have the same boat, thanks for the video, i had thrown the poles on the shelf...lol...did your boat come with hardware to mount spare tire under boat?????
great video. good instructions. My question, is once you have your cover on and all strapped down and ratchetted tight can you trailer your boat on the interstate without the cover flapping in the wind? Thanks again for a great video
Absolutely. It's not a cheap cover that will flap and tear in the wind. It is tight and protective. No wind noise or anything. The only issue I have is the gap at the motor, but just leave the drain plug out when it is stored outside or you are trailering in the rain.
Jaime, Do you have a part number for those poles? Or maybe you could measure and tell me the sizes they adjust to? Just picked up a heritage edition and it came with a cover but no poles.
I did kind of the same mount up front for my finder on my trolling motor but I used the scotty flush mount track system with the gear head mount with the scotty extenders I have the track system on the bow both side in front of the live well and other side 2 on the rear then wit the gear heads I can lock in my dock bouy.s in and remove them I can put in seven different locations if trolling for trout at walleye . I also installed a scotty side mount between the seats almost flush I put a scotty 3 pole mount in for tools and hooks 2 scotty post mount cup holders on the seat base I can put in in the gear heads all over the boat . I made 2 l brackets and bought the stern light mounts and mounted it behind the seat and mounted my fish measure board also behind the seat . and installed a micro power ANCHOR on the rear
John Hansen I need some pictures! You have a Instagram or go to jaimeastin.com email the pics. I can feature them on my my next video. It sounds like a great set up. I have some Scotty great track stuff too. I am just trying around with what solution next. I am courious about your setup. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for the great video because the instructions which came were terrible. Also I agree that the open area on the back of the cover is an issue. The last thing I would want is a neighborhood cat getting up in there and spraying everything. I have been using a towel to block access through the exposed area of the cover at the engine.
Appreciate the videos on the tracker. I ordered mine and am not waiting the eternity until it's delivered. Quick question though. What do you think or about a middle seat either a custom set up or a pedestal.
Dejuan Hardman Thanks for watching. I am actually building a middle seat/console. I am trying to build cup holders in it so that it is dual purpose. For now, it will be a cooler or a small step. Although the drain is there, it will not be in the way. Thanks for watching. When is your quoted date?
I got lucky when I purchased mine freds marine in layton utah had 2 1 for the boat show and one for a customer mine was the first HERITAGE delivered in utah vin number 718 Jan 10 2018
jaime I looked at my boat it has 5 screws on that rear panel there down in deep in the carpet you have to push hard into the carpet to feel the screw head
Excellent video. Just got a Dowco cover for my Lowe boat and found the instructions were lacking. No other videos explained the process so thoroughly for us that have never used a boat cover before. Thanks!!

Thank you for the video. Just purchased a Tracker and will be towing it 400miles. You answered all my questions. Great video.

You got a 2018 or the 2019?

Thanks John. I tried to hard to find mine, I will check again.
great tips.
die-electric grease on the eletrical connections it is non conductive where some grease's may be and you can short out things doing that
UBBERTANKER
That's what I used... I should have been specific rather than saying grease. I will add a not to video for others.
Thanks.
a couple of them are in the angle of the fold hard to feel them
John Hansen
Well that makes sense. I was feeling for them straight down.
Also use 303 Aerospace goodstuff !
