- Luoyang is one of the oldest imperial capital cities in China with many impressive culture heritages which are dated back to the Song Dynasty.
Luoyang is situated along the northern side of the Luo River. The train station is located to the north of the town centre, and Jinguyuan Lu goes from the station to Wangcheng Square.
Tourists come here primarily to see the Longmen Caves, The White Horse Temple and Guanlin Temple which all lie in proximity to the town, rather than the town itself.

Luoyang is an industrial city in central China’s Henan province, in what is widely recognized as the region where Chinese civilization originated. Luoyang, ancient China’s capital during multiple dynasties, is home to Baima Si (White Horse Temple), among China’s first Buddhist temples, founded in the 1st century. Nearby, the Longmen Grottoes contain thousands of Buddhist rock carvings dating to the 5th century.
Located in western Henan Province along the Yellow River, Luoyang City is strategically located in central China. It is encircled by mountains and plains. This ancient capital of China once had the reputation of being impregnable.
The great Hu Lao and Han Gu Gates were intended to protect it from possible invasions. Luoyang is known for having many historical and cultural sites to explore. The city is often referred to as the capital of poets. Many books were written by Chinese poets who have gathered here.
Luoyang covers a little over 15,000 km² and has more than 6 million inhabitants.The history of religion is important in this province. Luoyang was indeed the cradle of Taoism and it is here that the Chinese government built the first Buddhist temple, the Temple of the White Horse. The Longmen Grottoes are an incredible homage to Buddhism. There are more than 100,000 Buddha statues.
The Museum of Ancient Tombs is home to sumptuous tombs dating back several hundred years. The Shaolin Temple has seen the birth of many martial arts including kung fu.The province of Luoyang also offers beautiful landscapes. The White Cloud Mountain Park, the Guan Yu Forest and the Xiaolangdi Dam on the Yellow River all deserve a little detour to enjoy nature.
The region is also known for its peony culture. In April, an important festival is even dedicated to them.Luoyang has an airport connected to the cities of Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. It is also accessible by train and bus from many major cities including Canton, Xian, Jinan, Wuhan without forgetting of course Shanghai and Beijing.

Presentation of Longmen Caves

South of the city of Luoyang, the Longmen Caves are spread out about 1 km. Beautiful Buddhist statues have been dug into the limestone. The setting is sublime with Mt. Xiang Shang on one side, Mount Longmen Shan on the other and the Yellow River in the middle.
Construction began at the end of the fifth century and lasted no less than 400 years after.The cliff where the caves are located is nearly 1,000 m long and there are more than 2,100 caves where more than 100,000 Buddha statues have been carved. The largest is 17 m tall and the smallest only 2 cm !
Fengxianxi Cave is probably the one with the most successful work. The finesse of the details is simply astounding.In addition to the statues, you will find many stele and about forty dagobas. You have to know that the caves are mostly closed to the public but it is still possible to get relatively close to the statues and admire these masterpieces without problem.

终于来洛阳了，前段时间去洛阳玩了一个星期，这 个地方是我到过感受最好的地方， 倒不是因为城 建，而是因为当地人真的非常好，而且食宿都特别 便宜，然后又是处于中原地带，中国历史沉淀最深 的城市之一。 洛阳真的是一个非常值得推荐的城 市，如果有去，非常推荐租一辆共享电动车，可以 去任意想去的地方，非常方便！
I spent a week visiting Luoyang recently and it's one of the best places I've ever been, not because of the cityscape, but because the locals were so incredibly friendly, warm, sincere and kind. Plus, food and lodging were very affordable. Luoyang is also located in the heartland of China and has some of the deepest historical heritage in the country. Luoyang is absolutely worth recommending - if you ever go, I also highly recommend renting a shared e-bike. You can conveniently go anywhere you want!

Historically, great monks from India came to China. The White Horse Temple in Luoyang was the first temple built after Buddhism was introduced into China from India. Luoyang is also the capital of the Eastern Han Dynasty, and the world's famous Three Kingdoms historical period was launched on this stage in Luoyang. You are familiar with Liu Bei, Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Cao Cao, Lu Bu in video games... All heroes of this period
Let's be realistic. India will never be a developed country in it's lifetime. Even if India grows, it will get stuck in the middle income trap forever. India will also face major resource shortage due to overpopulation and face the wrath of climate change. India's resource base isn't large enough to support an economy too large either. Also the West and China can sabotage India in a jiffy if it grows too much. Also most Indians don't have unity and are still backward minded and tribalistic. Corruption and being unethical has become so deep rooted that it's become impossible to fix it. Also, the number of talented Indians leaving India is increasing at an alarming rate every year and many of these Indians who left India brag about India being the next big thing which is extremely comedic. The most mind boggling thing is that even if God comes down from heaven and says that India will never be a developed country, pa jeets will call him anti Indian and continue living in their fantasy of India being a developed country. Moreover, countries that actually became developed bragged less and did more. India brags more and does less. The online influencers who brag about India's greatness are only doing to get views and subscribers from deluded pa jeets and make good revenue. To conclude, India may improve in some areas, but it always stay a corrupt 3rd world uncivilized banana republic. Hence, forget your dreams of being a developed country pa jeets. India is an utterly failed experiment.

Question as I know nothing of China and the ways of their people. I see in many videos of historic places girls dressed in traditional clothing and getting there picture taken. I think its great and they look so beautiful. Why are they doing it? Is it for a reason other then personal family keepsake? Update: someone in comments mentioned Hanfu so I googled it. I think its so cool how young people have made historical dress popular!

Tks for sharing. I visited Xi'an in 2019 and traveled to Luoyang to visit the Longmen Grottoes. Didn't know there was a Sui and Tang Dynasty Architecture Park. Otherwise would proceed to the place after Longmen Grottoes.

The fortress with new buildings on top, the whole block looks quite new. Is it a partial rebuild(using the existing stone mason) , or a total rebuild?

@@bill7105 感谢支持哈，其实我的音乐都来自油管音乐库，都是无版权音乐，这里面本就没有中国风的曲子，我比较受限。所以大多时候我都是凭感觉去配曲子，有时感觉好，有时感觉差，所以前面的曲子让部分观众感觉不好我是完全理解的。我何尝不想用青花瓷、千里之外、七里香的曲子来做前奏，可版权不允许。。。
无所谓的，真正的自信是放什么都可以，把英语也当成背景音乐的一部分就行了。
