Celebrating National Hospital Week 2024 (May 12-18) in Virginia

The week of May 12-18, 2024 is National Hospital Week, an annual opportunity to reflect on and celebrate the many contributions hospitals make to support patients, families, communities, and public health. Virginia is home to more than 100 acute care, children’s, specialty, rehabilitation, psychiatric, critical access, and long-term care hospitals that are there for people at a moment’s notice, no matter the day or time. Hospitals and their dedicated teams of clinicians and caregivers are essential to a thriving society. In addition to delivering direct patient care, hospitals help train future doctors and nurses, support clinical research to produce future treatments and cures, invest in increasing access to care, promote community health and well-being, and strengthen our economy.
