It was no 4D chess. They transitioned because their last console will sell less than the Xbox One; because gamepass is not growing the way they imagined it would; and because they trained their fanbase not to buy games.
They will have to get their money elsewhere.
Xbox gamers pay less and get the games earlier so why would I want to leave?

I think they announced the PS5 version of Indiana Jones as it helps give MS sales forecast data by seeing how many people have it on their wish-list.
