I recently purged medicines, a lot expired. To make more room I transferred the OTC type meds into zip lock bags and got rid of the boxes. Lots better! Your story reminds me of when my daughter was about 8 she went to bed with one of those candy necklaces on. She woke up next morning to a neck full of ants!

Yes, an antennae coming out of an ear would've freaked me out. BUT I can't say anything because when my oldest was 5, I took him to the doctor for allergies or something. The doc checked his ear, made a funny face, and said, "I'll be right back." Ok....So comes back with a tiny instrument and starts digging in my son's ear....and pulls out a hearing aid battery!!! I had no idea where he found that or what inspired him to put it in his ear. And thank God it hadn't rusted or started leaking battery acid! Kids! Yep, let her think the ant came because her room wasn't clean, lol! Tricky moms unite! 😂

Marissa Sharp omg, I konw how u feel, when my oldest daughter was a toddler we spent countless hrs at dr, she would shove everything up her nose..paper, tissue, cardboard, those were easy to get out but the beads, styrofoam etc...and ir was always on my husbands watch whule I was at work or school...smh. Id come home and she'd say mommy look my nose...it was terrible😩

Thank you so much for these videos - I am one of those just watching for now because you started in the kitchen which I recently purged. However, as I was putting dishes away this morning, I saw a popcorn popper I bought recently and it makes horrible popcorn. So - maybe I do need to go back through! LOL

That little ant was a clutter bug in her ear! 🥁 😃 Ok bad joke. I would have screamed too! And I would totally do the same thing "yes you need to keep your room clean because bugs will come in your room and now you have bugs in your ear" Not a bad parent, but a smart one! 😊 You'll tell her later or she'll come across this video later in life 🤣 ANYWAYS, great video now I need to get rid of stuff.

hi I like watching your videos in the morning after I drop off my son to school and while making my breakfast. It feels as if a friend is here with me in my house, I started doing the challenge and I only got up to the freezer, which is good because my fridge is not working so I called the landlord and she will have it fix soon. I'm glad it is clean now. I will continue with the decluttering today. I've been following you and other youtubers that do cleaning videos for about a year and my house doesn't have that much stuff, thank God; but I'm sure there is always something to declutter, like my junk drawer. I like that music you play at the beginning of your videos.

And this morning and told him when he was waiting for his breakfast: "Honey, I have a challenge for you 😜 Let's see how much garbage you can get from our bills holder in 15 minutes 😂😂😂" and he accepted!!! So he started cleaning and throwing away a lot of things!!!! IM SO HAPPYYYYY 😍😍👏👏👏👏 I did this cause I use to ask him to do it and he says: sure, later!! 🙈 But now with your method, it worked!!!!!!!!! Thanks a lot!!!! I love all your videos!!!! And I'm sure still applying this way to do the cleaning!!!! Kisses from Mexico!!! 😍😍😍😘😘😘

I moved earlier this year, and thankfully I purged most of my stuff that was no longer useful before I moved, but I'm going through a lot of my stuff again because it accumulates like crazy. I ate in my room in my teenage years, but I would vacuum and return any uneaten food downstairs to cover my tracks, since I was not supposed to.

I hope you do a video on purging the thought of thinking you need something as in shopping not to bring guilt but to bring change like all the medicine and lotions that were bought and going into the landfills. Being more conscious. I was sick for 2 weeks as much as I was considering cough syrup I researched and found alternative waste free options so it doesn't sit in the cupboards for months cuz I rarely get sick. Just a thought

Omg!!!! How did you keep from screaming and freaking her out when you first saw the antenna??? Now I feel itchy all over!
I sort my meds by type (Cold/Allergies, Stomach Issues, pain Relief/First Aide and one for Everyday use like vitamins and any other meds that have to be taken every single day) in small stackable bins. It makes it easier to find what we need based on symptoms. I try to go through our meds every 6-8 months or so but last week I found one that had been expired for almost 2 years!!!!
I don’t comment much because most of the time I am watching from my TV but your stories have had me cracking up! I especially loved the groceries on a bike story! Hilarious!!! 😂 That poor guy was just trying to give you your groceries. I wonder if he even knew what had happened. LOL 😂

Total mom win right there, kid learns their lesson entirely on their own and you didn't have to do a thing! One year after Christmas break when the kids went back to school, my daughter asked to watch tv at the end of the day but then stopped and said "Oh wait, we aren't allowed to watch T.V. on school days." Actually the rule was no T.V. until homework was done, but I didn't correct her and to this day they don't watch T.V. on school days.

I did the first aid/medicine clean out a month or so ago, preparing for the back to school colds that I knew would come for us - there were things in there that expired in 2004... before we even had kids. And to answer the question as to why you keep the boxes, I'm guessing for the same reason I do, you are ripping into it in the wee small hours of the morning with a crying kid in your sights and just want to get the bottle out. Cleaning up after yourself is the last thing on your mind.

I woke up yesterday morning feeling deaf in one ear and it won't go away!! I tried everything advised to me, including peroxide and it's still doing it. Now I'm freaking out wondering what bug is in my ear!!!!!! Lol

Mandy Swink I've had this happen twice. The first time I had a wax buildup that my physician cleaned for me. The 2nd time I went back to another ear wash thinking it was wax but it was an infection. I had no pain so I was clueless. I recommend having your Dr take a peek if it doesn't resolve itself. Good luck!

Go into a dark room and have someone shine a flashlight in your ear, that can draw some bugs out

Mandy Swink try a few drops of mineral oil 3 times a day and then lay on your opposite side for 5 mins. After the 5 mins gently remove the oil with a tissue or qtip and the wax will melt away! Happend to me a few times when i was preggo and it works so well! If you do it at least 4-5 times it should all come out! Good luck!☺

Did anyone else’s ear 👂 start to itch during the ant 🐜 story?

Ha ha. I can just hear it now, “go clean your room or you’ll get ants in your ear.”

Oh man that's awful lol! I would have screamed too! Your not a bad parent, at least that makes sense, I told my son not to eat too much candy and sweets or his nose would bleed, the day after he went with his grandparents his nose bleed and he said it was because of all the candy, and I agreed. I felt bad later that day and told him it wasn't the candy it was that he needed more water. But he insisted it was still the candy too

The ear Dr. told me that peroxide will dry out your ear. Mine dried out from it & that causes a lot of trouble too.

You can send me the Oil of Olay, that is what I use for my daytime moisturizer! :) The mini packs of tissues I buy at Dollar Tree (6 for a dollar) and keep in the car.

Love your videos, I need a video or ways to deep clean a kitchen every nook and cranny especially mic and stove. Im moving into a house and the stove and microwave vents are disgusting, but Im afraid of getting soap in those crevices and it going somewhere in the stove & mic front door or somewhere inside where U cant get to...HELP!!!!

Your poor daughter, but I feel her pain. Last summer, in the middle of the night, I felt something in my ear and it woke me up. I jumped up freaking out. I poured peroxide and water trying to flush it out. I was so scared it was a spider but I did find a couple of random ants later in my room, so I think it was an ant. I never did see the bug so I went to the Dr just to make sure it didn't go further into my canal rather than out. The Dr. said my ear was almost too clean! LOL. Anyways, had to share.
(I also would let her believe it's the food in her room! LOL )

I buy those six packs of pocket kleenex at Walmart. I put one in the pocket of each coat, my car, and each purse I am using this winter: grey for black and navy, brown for brown down jacket. This worked great last year. If I was still teaching, I would have two in my book bag for each school where I taught so that I am never caught with runny nose in a temporary classroom where someone else has come in and stolen my kleenex box!!! ARggggh!
