Hey, very nice video. It would be helpful if you make a video on what are the basic things to learn for quants section. Like you mentioned about learning the cube roots from 100-1000 More such tips would be helpful, like a checklist of what all should we learn before the test. Thank you
Should be enough, just practice a lot. Although the questions in Quants are relatively simple, you might be susceptible to making silly mistakes and losing points. So practicing is the key!
Thanks! I have just 3 weeks n my initial score in Manhattan gre test was verbal 155 n Quant 157. Juggling full time job and gre preparation is pretty tough. I wanted to ask you how you prepared for Quant? magoosh videos are so boring for maths, I feel I know it but during exam lol I realized I actually don't know much.
Hello broo! Finally started my college. BSc Physics at Bhavans Vivekananda College. I got admission in Azim Premji university but didn't join because of high fee (my dad could have paid it but l really didn't have the confidence in myself). So in the first semester we are having Integral and differential calculus in mathematics (mostly multivariable calculus). In physics we are having vector analysis(Divergence, curl, gradient, greens theorems and stuff), mechanics and special relativity and in computers we are having programming in C. Having a good time as of now. Hope I do well and not mess it up like in 12th and 11th. Make more videos bro. All the best!
Hi bro! Thank you for such a really detailed video. Can you please help me with the prep strategy you followed for building vocabs within 3 weeks? I feel there are at least 800-900 words to be learned for a good grasp of the GRE vocabs.
Yes, I practiced about 1000 words. As I mentioned in the video, I made use of vocab builder apps on my phone which had placard styled practice sets for GRE level words. Make a target of say 50 words daily and you should be able to build a good vocabulary within 2-3 weeks.
@@rummiii7877 Oh i just started preparing and i think u can do 50 words today and tomorrow u can go through the previous day's 50 words and the next day again the 50 from previous day and at the end of the week u can have a random quiz of like a 100 words by yourself from the whole week's words, and yeah I know it's going to be hectic but this is the best I can think of memorizing them

Hey !! Do we have Shiv Nadar University in Delhi also , I'm assuming yours is in Uttar Pradesh correct me or any other good University you would recommend for the same course . Thankyou so much
How many words we should write in analytical writing in one essay? Nd analyical writing is also computer based? Nd how many questions should i answer correctly to get 150 marks in verbal section..
How did you score so much in quants.. My verbal is good... My quants is an issue.. I am scoring a 158 in quants at the moment. I want to score till 165 or above.
The quantitative section can be tackled with practice. There are practice books for GRE with chapters on the quant section under which you will be able to find many concepts from which questions might come in the test. You'll also find many practice questions to test and improve your skills. Most of the concepts are easy to grasp but are widerange, so keep practicing as much as you can in order to get a good hold of quants.
Honeslty, I haven't done much research about which amongst the two is better. I have heard that IELTS is accepted in more places compared to the TOEFL and hence would prefer taking the former, but I'll do my own review of the two tests first. Might be in a better position to speak on this at a later time.
Bro. Please make a video about difference between college and school physics in INDIA. I am in 12th and am reading books like concepts of Physics by Prof.HC VERMA. Will UG physics be different from what we earn at school and JEE coaching? And I applied for Azim Premji university and am shortlisted for interview. Hi, as far as Shiv Nadar University goes, if you opt for BSc. Physics major, you will be taking three courses on quantum mechanics and option major electives on general relativity and cosmology. They are planning to add more astronomy/astrophysics courses in the next couple of years as well.
what I meant was, the first section of both verbal and quants is medium level with similarly weighted questions. based on your performance in this section, the next section would be calibrated. if you score less on the first section, you get easier questions on the next one, which indeed carry lesser marks, and vice versa. everything else I said holds as is.
no not really, even if you get 25 answers right on the easier section, you'll score much lesser than if you get 20 answers right on the hard section... so the per-answer weightage is technically higher.

I don't know what college will I be getting. Just wanted to ask you that does college matter for BSc? Like will I get the opportunities if I study it from my state colleges that are obviously not that renowned. Please help. I'm stressed out idk what to do. please
The college of course matters. The number of opportunities you'll get to pursue further research, quality of infra and faculty, perception while applying to graduate studies, everything is accounted for by the reputation and rigor of your college in Bachelors. However, even if you land up in a not so well-known place, at least give your 100% in those 3-4 years you are in that college. If you are focused and have high motivation which shows through your CV, you should still be able to get the attention of some good schools in grad applications, and pursue research in your field of interest!

Hi, I think taking the general GRE and subject specific GRE both are important when you are applying for a graduate degree in a particular subject. These act as benchmarks and inform the admission's team about your capability on a worldwide normalized scale, so its definitely helpful to take the subject test. However, you may note that many universities rejected the GRE as a whole last year due to the pandemic and that might be the case even this time. So they may not consider the GRE afterall! In case you can spend 15-16k without any serious adversities, I would recommend taking both, the GRE general and subject tests.
