The way I look at this is that the prosecution is not in a position to present their case. They are using the law to cost the defendant thousands of dollars and they’re doing it legally of course. A couple things immediately come to mind when the witness is not available to testify. One thing would be that they can’t find him or he doesn’t want to appear because of the publicity that surround him and this court case. Another could be that they have a weak case against the defendant and they can slowly and anonymously drop the charges or go for a plea bargain. I’ve watched these things develop in the area where I live because now I keep an eye on the judicial system and the district attorneys office as well as magistrates. This is legalized dirty tricks.
@yupknewit I’m not in a position to get the court documents but this I do know after being on this earth for many decades, if it walks like a duck and it quacks like a duck, it’s a duck“. In the area where I live they delayed through legal tactics almost 2 years and used Covid as part of the excuse to bring a person to trial for nine counts, I said nine counts of attempted homicide against three police officers. The defense did not call one witness, the defendant did not take the witness stand in his own defense, after three hours of the deliberation, not only was he found not guilty of those nine charges there were four additional ones rather minor that he was found innocent on.. In the court system there’s lots of ducks and they quack constantly.
@yupknewit My latest comments regarding this issue are as follows. The prosecutor or district attorneys office wants to support the cop and will bring the charges forward unless they are so unreasonable that it’s laughable. Many times charges are tacked on so there is something to bargain with to get a win in the prosecutors column. All the judge has to do is review the documents and then put his signature on it and he doesn’t have any work like having a trial. This is how they all make their living so they’re going to string this out and fill the docket with as much crap as they can so things continue and they get paid. I have no opinion on the individuals who are defendants because I do know in many cases in my area these are not the pillars of the community neither are the people in law enforcement. I don’t let the defendant off the hook, if they deserve to be on trial so be it, but the system should not be used against them to delay for reasons that would be difficult to support if the court system looked into excuses of the prosecutor.

Whatever is on the record is filmed and being broadcasted by the court itself. Ofcourse you can't just barge into courtroom and film it yourself, you will get arrested because it is a protected area
I know from my time as a former prosecutor in California, that you don't need to subpoena the cop when you are a DA, as they will gladly show up. I don't practice in Nevada, but that argument - if notice was needed - can be easily fixed by just continuing the trial, as opposed to throwing out the case. The DA said there was no minimum notice requirement, just a "due diligence" requirement. Mee didn't try to correct him, and the judge seemed to think the DA was right as well. Mee didn't file any written opposition apparently or cite to any authority to throw out the case or to exclude the cop. He's an experienced lawyer, and probably figured it was pointless anyway. The defense got two continuances, so the DA was going to get one too. I have reviewed Chillie's LVMPD case, and the federal judge in a written order in response to the defense's motion to dismiss, agreed that the cops had probable cause to arrest him, and that he violated the obstruction statute. None of that would be admissible at this trial. I looked into the constitutionality of the statutes he is being charged with, and they are constitutional, although the Nevada Supreme Court broke with the Ninth Circuit on this issue. Any arguments Chillie wants to make that the statutes are unconstitutional will have no bearing on this trial judge, as she will follow the law. It will be up to Chillie to appeal it, but the appellate court will be bound by the Nevada Supreme Court's decision, and the NSC will likely not revisit it, forcing yet another appeal to the Ninth Circuit. This will give Chillie ample time to perfect his Constitutional Law Scholar skills, while draining his bank account at a rate he has never seen before. Based on what I have seen, including the footage, he will be convicted of at least one of the charges, but not face any jail time, unless he violates probation.
I'm highly doubtful any appellate court will even want to look at this case..it will most likely be sent back to and thus bound by the lower court case decision..case closed..
@@spsniper1170 I pulled about 200 cases and profiled it in my part 2 video - the Nevada Supreme held both statutes constitutional, in a split with the 9th Circuit. So, he's got a long, expensive road of appeals to try to undo this.

Thanks for the info! I appreciate input from someone who knows the legal system. 👍🏻👍🏻
Exactly. Well said.
