I wish Michelle (and Dave) was in the Alaskan cruise vlogs more. While I respect their privacy, knowing they're on the cruise (but are not in the vlogs much) makes it feel like it isn't a true "Michael Kay" cruise vlog. All that said, I've wanted to do an Alaskan cruise for a while and this just wants me to do so even more!
Michelle was always pretty visible in past vlogs, especially the cruise ones. I wonder why she doesn’t want to be on camera anymore. No matter what though these have been some fantastic videos.
Ah, the HAL buffet big green plastic salad bowls... bring back memories. ♥️ Those customized daily salads in the buffet were just *fantastic*, every single time, plus the added bonus of served food/reduced contamination. The drink service that HAL does in the buffets is a combination of service-focused expectations, reducing public use of resources that can be contaminated, and simply interacting with customers. Imagine thinking high level service is "weird". We always tip and reward (a small gift, a duck, etc) those buffet servers for their extra attention, they work *very* hard.
Next time you should go see the totem poles. Oh…and filling the drinks…it’s called service. HAL and Disney have great service, good food, and the classic cruise ship experience and that’s why I like them both.
I was lucky to be able to catch this before heading to work. Yum, that breakfast looked so good. I'm envious because I had to eat some dry oatmeal this morning. Great content - I love the lumberjack pictures the most. Those are some good looking lumberjacks. Love it all!
I really enjoy your vlogs, but miss your longer cruise vlogs. I am watching to see if I want to go with Holland in the future and I'm missing your more in depth vlogs. I wish you went to the dining room and shared more about more of the food and the service. Also were there any on board activities??
Wow! What a fun day!! Great photos of the lumberjack show. So glad you got to see some whales. Really nice that the ship had so many family games in one place. My friend is on the Eurodam now, headed to the Panama Canal!
I only stick to ship recommended stores IF I am making an expensive purchase such as jewelry, watches, etc. Because if I get home and it breaks or something is wrong with it I can send it back to the cruise line and they will get me a refund or a replacement. For anything else I shop in stores that look interesting and I try to shop local as opposed to big chain stores.
Hey Michael I’m loving the Alaskan cruise!! I’m curious why the last two videos have been very short compared to the first 2/3 videos? Love the longer adventure videos from you!
Why such a short stop in port? Our stop in Ketchikan last year was 8/10 hours. I understand some ships in Alaska this season had propulsion issues, meaning reduced port times. Sorry if that impacted you.
I think Disney vlogging has become so oversaturated, it’s made it hard to truly stand out. Unless you have say 100k+…I think at some point, the viewer/vlogger gets Disney fatigue and wants to see/do/experience other things. 🤷🏻♂️
For whatever reason, Michael just never clicked as a Disney vlogger. While others who came after him have gone on to great success with 100k plus subscribers, Michael has never been able to get past the 60k mark. Disney vloggers are way over saturated now. He needs to find a new niche.
@@sinjinadams2862 yup. Honestly, even though his channel wasn’t growing prior to his current changes, at least now since rebranding he’s going backwards. Down 500 subs in less than 10 days.

Dave does have his videos out as well if you want to see his perspective

Why don’t we see Michelle and David ?

Would you recommend the Lumber shack show for little kids? We will have a 5yo and a 3yo!
They do a version of the Lumberjack Show for Disney that is just wonderful, with kid participation & characters in rare outfits.
Highly recommended.

Can't believe you did not walk to Creek St (back and across the street from the show place). Wondering if salmons were there.
Loving these vlogs! I definitely want to go to that excursion if we go on an Alaskan cruise. I think our kids would love it.
The ports look like so much fun, even though this particular ship doesn't seem like it's for me. Thank you for taking us along on your journey!
great day.. The lumberjack show is a must to see.

Welcome to our beautiful state of Alaska!!

I've seen this show! Great time.
Those lumberjacks had some serious Thor vibes! Lol

Thanks nice trip !
I miss when he was all about Disney.
