Very informative. My wife and I are both teachers from Jamaica living and teaching in the England. Secondary Eduation. Design and technology and Business Studies.
We are considering moving to Scotland with our 14 yr old daughter. What are some of the suggested areas with regards to renting.

I just thought to mention that there is severe shortage of teaching job opportunities in Scotland at the moment with a lot of Teachers leaving the profession in order to secure stable jobs in other fields. Also, teaching jobs are controlled by the local authorities (unless you are looking to work in independent schools) which means even for temporary supply teaching, you will need to wait for job advert from various councils, and have a successful application /interview to be put on the council's supply register.
