Gukesh’s defense was brilliant despite the time crunch and tough position! His excitement for the World Championship in Singapore is contagious. Can't wait to see him shine there! His dedication is truly inspiring.
Patiently waiting for a Gukesh interview response that does not start with "Yeaah"... ;-)
The challenge in Singapore is going to be who can keep a crystal-clear mind better. If Ding had Rapport, Wei Yi, and Ju Wenjun as seconds, he would be healed of his recent malaise, but Gukesh has such an innocent heart that does not often clutter unnecessarily, so I am really thinking it might be a great match. It will take a great deal of courage to win it.
I back younger minds like carlssen beating Anand .I back gukesh to beat ding .
@@joylife428 Eventually someone younger is going to win, but it is not like death at age 31 (for Ding), or 33 for Carlsen, or 36 for Nakamura, 31 for Caruana. They are not finished and if they all were to seek the World Championship, it is quite likely that it would be one of them who would win it now, above the youngsters, although I admire Firouzja, Gukesh, Erigaisi, .... Pragg and so many more who have astonishing potential.
Great responses and great questions not pushing too much, respect to both
Guki❤🎉
The wc is really going to be a battle I wouldn’t underestimate the youngster if I was ding
I think in the current situation the youngster should not underestimate Ding
@@mihirinamdar neither of them should underestimate each other. Both Ding and Gukesh are not alone or with just a second but with a whole big team with family and physical-mental health coaches around them atleast 2 months prior to the championship. The Wch is not just 14 games of chess, but much more than that. stamina, mental strength, willpower and so much more.
@@srinjoy2003 You are right. Gukesh is not underestimating him at all. Yesterday he played marshal, which is the most theoretical line in chess, such that even GMs usually don't want to play, every match which is being played right now by Guki and Ding is watched and studied by the other. Most likely gukesh won't play this opening in the WC, but still Ding won't ignore this (just because of human tendency) and will prepare himself for Marshal which would take 1-2 week. If not, I don't believe there was any point of Gukesh to play Marshal in that variation against MVL, which had total 64 games in database among which 7 were played by MVL with 2 wins and 5 draws.
I am sure he is ready for the fight. Whether he will grab 1 million or 1.5 million remains to be seen. From Canada
True the kid is getting the bag no doubt. But I think India supports its top chess players well enough and has good sponsors,so the glory would matter a lot more to him.
// millions. are very important. @@maxaarons7093

Millions is also very important. From Canada
@@noorulahad3522 ofc it’s a huge sum.And the kid definitely deserves it
Outside of the skills on the chess board, at this point in life, young Gukesh has fewer things in his mind to distract him from chess....so it is experience vs freshness....we are going to see
