We can choose to see life as a canvas of years, we can explore the body a bit by experiencing some enjoyment of the body, then choose to focus on spiritual matters afterwards? or do we choose spirituality first at a young age? For what? this is the real question, how do we find a balance that suits us well?
it depends on your goal. do you want to Remain limited as a pleasure seeker ? Or do you want to go beyond the physicality? sex is natural, but it only shows that one feels incomplete and insecure, and has a longing to become one. Very few sex based relationships are based on love. The intention of sex is good, and that is a union, but the method is limited.
What suits me is that there should be no compulsion on leaving anything. Forcing oneself to stop something leads to even more problems. Your spiritual process should give you enough insight and perception as to whether do a thing or not. Thinking will not solve this problem. Only experience by following a spiritual process, will bring you to a state whether you want to do something or not. Sadhguru himself says that don't do something because just he said so. Come to a calm and a happy state of mind and then whatever you choose, stick to it.
Sadhguru also says in another video that it is up to the individual to decide how strong are his or her physical needs. For some, totally rejecting physical needs forcibly can lead to their destruction. So the individual must do some Yoga and come to a balanced state. Then one can clearly see what is important and choose accordingly.
Western and corporate decadence is responsible for this agony.. Too much emphasis on romantic love and sexual licentiousness has distorted our expectations. Just pick up any lifestyle mag and you will find articles like "15 signs he is not in love with you, 10 hot tips to make her want you in bed, etc," No wonder our world is in turmoil, what a waste of time. Also, it is fashionable to say how liberal India was in the past with regards to sexuality, citing the Kamasutra and temple carvings, but remember India was not a nation back then, and Kamasutra was brought back into limelight by decadent Western sensibilities.
