"Jaylen Brown is not liked because of his 'im better than you attitude'."
But we have a 22 years old in Minnesota running his mouth about how he's the best player in the world and talking trash to everybody while the media is calling him the face of the league.
    Make it make sense, please.

It’s the things Jaylen Brown tend to attach himself to. I’ve seen him speak on racial issues and such…I think that’s it. He’s also very intelligent and articulate and honestly I think a guy like that can be a threat.

Jay, the NBA did not give Jaylen Brown his contract. The Celtics organization recognizes him and compensated him. The NBA definitely underates him. He should have been all defensive team as well. Btw Stephen A,. Jordan definitely felt he was better than any other basketball player.. You need that swag and attitude to excel in the NBA. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum are arguably the best 1-2 combo in the game. Its something about Boston that ESPN doesn't like to give them and their players their due. Brown has balled put the last couple games but for the whole playoffs there still an argument for Tatum. Brown has been a better scorer tho Tatum has scored like 5 more total points Brown's efficiency puts him over. Tatum is by far the Celtics best rebounder with like 30 more rebounds than anyone else on the team and leads the team in assists including over double Brown's total. Brown's been the more sexy player with Tatum while still scoring for the team is being just as much a facilitator and glue for the team. People are intimidated by Jalen Brown’s intelligence, but the NBA source that Stephen A Smith was speaking of needed to code it as “not likable” because when dealing with sports, intelligence is not what makes you likable. I have never gotten the vibe that he thinks he’s better than anyone, in fact he’s truly excepted his role on the Celtics as the number two and has lived in Tatum’s shadow for over five years. I’m sorry, but that’s not someone who thinks he’s better than anyone else.

I've always thought JB was a better scorer, with much more of an attack mindset than JT, while JT was a bit more skilled overall. But, they're really close, and on any given night either one can go off and be the reason you win.

He may be underapreciated to the media and those who don't regularly follow basketball/NBA but he most certainly isn't in Boston. His contract speaks for itself, Celtics love both Tatum and Brown. That's why we hope/want them to get along, if Tatum has a bad night Brown can step up, if Brown has a bad night JT can step up.
Not to mention players like Holiday, White and Porzingis thrown into the mix. This Celtics team is great as it is, JT does sometimes get more of the spotlight/good press from the media, but he also gets the blame for when we lose. I think the narrative is to try and create tension on the Celtics so as to split JB and JT up, not the first time they have tried to push this narrative. But every Celtic fans knows that is a horrendous idea.
JB keep doing what you doing, we love you here in Boston. Forget the All NBA first team fans can pick and choose all they want, they aren't the ones playing on the court. Focus on winning the championship with yo brother JT and the rest of the Cs squad. We got something special here in beantown. #DifferentHere 🍀🍀🍀🍀

Today's game evolve around the 3 point shot, and the power dunk. If Jaylen Brown start smiling into the camera, dunk more, raises his 3 point shooting percentage, and keep holding down his defensive prowess, he can not only become the face of the Boston Celtics, he can become the face of the entire league. Plus, he invokes his educational smarts, when he speak for all the players in the NBA.

Before JB got drafted, they said he was “too smart” for the NBA. It might be true. Buddy is articulate and speaks when necessary on necessary topics. He doesn’t ever really say nor do too much. It’s hard to dislike someone who doesn’t give you a real reason.
With that said, he’s a $300M player as a #2 option. How is he underrated?

Stephen A’s source is someone who works for and represents the NBA. The same NBA that doesn’t like intelligent, outspoken, and sociopolitically in tune players. Of course they’ll say Jaylen Brown is not liked. The guy is liked amongst all his peers. Pay attention to the wording that was used, “it’s that he’s not liked because of his I am better than you attitude.” The NBA offices and execs have to deal with him because he’s the VP of the players association. They don’t like that he’s intelligent and can articulate well so they’re flipping it into arrogance because they can’t have their way with him. Textbook tactics, and I’ll leave it at that.

I would make the argument it is harder to have greater numbers on a good team.

Crazy they say Brown doesn’t have to carry the same load as other guys but he’s been carrying a guy who’s supposedly better than him this entire postseason.

Tatum still has scored 5 more points this playoffs while also leading the Celtics in rebounds and assists its not like Brown has been overwhelmingly better....

@@jammer9941 5 more points? You’re joking right? I guess It would seem that way if your only basis is stats. You can literally watch the games and see it for yourself Brown has CLEARLY been the better player thus far.

The highest contract stuff doesn't matter. It just means a star signs a supermax. That is literally it. When any other star signs a supermax, they will become the "highest contract ever". Jrue Holiday and Tingus Pingus are both making more than Brown THIS season.
