    Thanks for this @Rossendale Collieries - fascinating stuff and it's great to learn more of the history of where I've lived for most of my life. I remember as a little girl playing all over the moors behind Clowbridge and Dunnockshaw and being warned by mum and dad to be careful of open shafts!

      No. I never have the patience to write a book sadly.. I suppose these videos are my books.

      very concise and factual
      i am an engineer and geologist
      i studied other things and worked in mining of a different sort, mainly opencast, iron, copper, bauxite and coal also oil and gas
      well done you, so many need to take a leaf out of your most factual book lad
