Marcus is right. Flacco has 8 picks in 5 games w/13 TDs. That's too close to two per game. If he had 5 picks and 16 TDs I wouldn't worry so much. But, unless he gets a handle on that tendency we may be looking at a one and done. Not tryna throw shade on Smokin' Joe because without him the Browns arent in the playoffs. Just keeping my hype under wraps because even with all the positives they really haven't done anything but get there. Now they have to do something with it. Playoff picks aren't gonna get it done.

Browns fan here - We will live or die by Flacco's YOLO long ball. Turnovers are my only post-season concern. With a punter and kicker sidelined with injuries I do think the turnover differential data is a little skewed, some of those picks were basically punts or missed FG attempts.

Imagine if they would have keeped Baker and gave him this defence ! Used the picks and money to improve the d- line and LB depth ! He would be leading the league in yards, TD, Int etc. He's still learning some of the playback as he was forced to start a week after trying to be family man of the year. He's letting it fly.. so of course he's gonna have some bad int after taking over in such a short period of time. What's amazing is, he's rejuvenated Cooper, got E. Moore more involved and turned David N into an all pro looking TE. Watson may have a competition next year because I'm not sold he's a lock to start despite his contract. Andrew berry has been the best GM in football in moving money around etc to keep this core together. They have 2 coaches that deserve coach of the year. Coach Stef for his job and calling the plays. Def coordinator Jim Schwartz turning this Def into the potential we all hoped for and more due to all the injuries. They better keep Schwartz and even pay him like a head coach so he don't leave

That plays out in us playing more prevent at the end of games, unless it starts to look threatening. With Flacco, we've got a shot at 12 wins.. Under DTR, we possibly were looking at stumbling in to the playoffs with 9 or 10 wins, and not really being a threat. There is something about Flacco and Stefanski's offense that clicks. And Flacco has hopefully got the doubters on board in terms of Kevin keeping his job. But I don't like this "Flacco savior" narrative. He's been more of a stabilizer. Even with that though, he's become my second favorite Browns QB that I've watched. Bernie is always the dude! No changing that.
