The Steelers defense is so buck so far, hopefully they can sustain it because their final 8 games is the gauntlet of all gauntlets.
Vikings are by far the biggest surprise this year
Not only are they 3-0, but all 3 wins have come in a dominant fashion for them
The giants aren’t at all good, doesn’t count and the 49ers are destroyed with injuries, and Texans were extremely overrated, not saying you guys aren’t good, you have played elite, but it’s a little over the top

@@TheChair2004 The 49ers had Deebo Samuel, George Kittle, Trent Williams, and a few others injured while playing the Vikings defense. Flores currently has his boys looking like an actual raiding party, brutally throwing down their opponents without mercy. Everyone was saying "oh well the running game wasn't hurt because Mason looks good." Then when the Vikings control the game suddenly one guy being out is the reason? Even though Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson are out for Minnesota?
Brian Flores is running a defense that is literal kryptonite for Shanahan offenses. Given how many of the teams in the NFC in particular run offenses that either come from his tree or are heavily inspired by him, and given how efficient the run game has been, I think the Vikes have as good a shot as any to represent the NFC in New Orleans

As a raider fan it’s just to much inconsistency. We’ll do something like keep Lamar in check and beat them last minute but then get smacked by Carolina. We just need to find an identify, being 32nd in rushing is inexcusable

Honestly what really irks me is that the Raiders seem to be dead set on not having a franchise QB. They have an excellent supporting cast and literally will not try to sign anyone. Gardner Minshew is not going to cut it

The Vikings are a big surprise. I have receipts saying Darnold would finally do well, but i had no idea they would start THIS hot. This season has been epic so far.
It’s also what time to have an honest conversation about Trevor Lawrence. It feels like everyone is dancing around the topic, but it’s starting to feel like he’s just a slightly better version of Daniel Jones. And just like Daniel Jones, winning a playoff game in 2022 was the worst thing that could have happened to the franchise and just like 2022, it was the other team and their bad defense, giving up points and missing coverage assignments, rather than just the sheer dominance of the disappointing quarterback

I might get chastised for saying this, but I believe it to be true. Bijan Robinson = OVERRATED
If every RB in the league were perfectly healthy, I don't think Bijan even cracks the top 5. He's barely top 10. Think about the great RBs of today and the recent past. They were all great right away and filled up the stat sheet their rookie year. Tomlinson, Peterson, Kamara, Chris Johnson, CMC, Breece Hall (before injury), Achane (when healthy) just off the top of my head had terrific rookie seasons.
Bijan was just OK last year and didn't live up to his hype at all. Everyone blamed Arthur Smith for not using him correctly and Ridder was so terrible Bijan had to deal with stacked boxes every snap. Well Arthur Smith and Ridder are both gone and replaced by "competent" Kirk Cousins and "offensive guru" Zac Robinson and yet Bijan is still not putting up numbers or creating breakaway runs. What's the excuse now? Maybe Bijan just isn't as good as the so called experts say. Change my mind!
What should also be a surprise is the Packers winning 2 games with Malik Willis at QB and him throwing a TD pass before Caleb Williams 😂

Not really. They beat rookie QB Bo Nix, went into overtime vs the dogshit patriots, and beat whoever tf Skylar Thomson is. None of their wins are surprising

Everyone keeps saying Minnesota is lucking out against injured opposition but refuse to acknowledge that we're out our #2 WR Jordan Addison and #1 TE TJ Hockenson. If Darnold has been lighting it up with second and third string receivers because he can't spam throws to JJ, imagine when he has his full roster of weapons. I get most NY media have the loudest voices and wrote off Darnold years ago but the "pumpkin watch" is annoying. The Jets failed Geno, Darnold, Wilson, and will run more promising QBs into the ground in the future. But those loudest voices will always shit on the QB, not the franchise or shotty organization.
Geno and Darnold played in NY and are successful now.

We shouldn’t really be surprised by the Bengals defense. If you know about the owners in the league you’d know Mike Brown is one of the cheapest owners in the league, he’s so frugal it’s kinda ridiculous, he didn’t want to pay Jesse Bates, he let Chidobe Awuzie walk in FA and we have the Jamar contract situation rn
That’s what I think it’s more on the front office then Lou anamoru he showed countless times of putting offenses in a twist and all but not having a pass rush hurts them. And I was worried about the pass rush as I believe they should’ve gotten a DT like Newton to beef up that d line which lacks a d linemen

Man just like this I see people act like this. I’ve watched all Steelers games for many years and I can say with out a doubt that this team is different than the last two years. Our offense would go 3 and out every single damn offensive drive last year but this year we’ve been so much better than that. Justin has been WAYY better than Pickett ever was and he’s only getting better, if this offense can put up 20 ppg than we are in a contender list that is just the truth. This defense is historic and there is stars everywhere and the depth is actually insane. And y’all continue to hate on the Steelers but we can easily be 8-1 or 9-0 just look at our schedule. Also we own the ravens and do really well in our divsion. You should expect the Steelers to win 12 games at least. I know it doesn’t fit your agenda that “Steelers always go 9-8” but this year it is trending a lot more like 12-5 and it looks like we are winning the division

There's a chance for THREE teams to finish the season undefeated at most.
The Vikings and Seahawks play each other late in the season, so at best 1 of them will be undefeated.
But in the AFC?
The Bills and Steelers don't play each other. They both play the Chiefs. There's a chance that both could end up undefeated.
...How would THAT affect the playoff standings?! O.O

As a raiders fan even if the season continues on this trajectory I think bringing back pierce was the right move. The problem is they’ll almost certainly fire him this off-season and we’ll bring someone else in who ownership loves but sucks and is gone in 3 years again
4:04 Something that needs to be addressed...Kliff kingsbury. Yes his tenured at Cardinals was shaky at times. But I always thought that he was a good offensive minded coach. Look at all the QBs he coached: Patrick mahhomes, kyler murray, johnny manziel, case keenum, and now caleb williams. Those are all starters at one time in the league. All recognizable names. Kliff had to play in NFC west that has stacked coaches and defenses. Pete carroll, Mcvay, Kyle Shanahan all 3 were easily top 12 coaches and all had 12 defenses multiple years. I mean for crying out loud he was also a great QB himself with his starting 3 years in college throwing for 11k yds.. He was there in 2003 with tom brady's super bowl.
I think Kliff is madly underrated. I think Cardinals just had a terrible defense in a hard divison. They were still competitive and not the worst in the league during his time. Kliff has enabled his QBs to throw. I think we need to start discussing if Kliff knows how to develop QBs which a lot of coaches can't do.

Would love to be wrong but until I see another team hoisting the Lombardy at the end of the season I’m resigned to the fact that, while we’ll get some good games here and there, the overall narrative of the 2024 season is set.

The Raiders need to fire Antonio Pierce, I am tired of the Raiders passing on having a scoring drive when they're two possessions down and digging their hole deeper and making the game harder on the defense to have to hold the opposing team to 0 points because AP goes for it too often and early in the game.
