This guy knows how to set his Gen up for storage. Notice how he turns off the fuel valve first then works the chock to suck all the fuel out of the carburetor bowl. If the bowl of the carburetor is full while in storage it will gum up and the float will get stuck in the closed possession and no fuel flow into the carburetor bowl. if the carburetor is only partly full then the float will get stuck in the open possession and flood the engine and fill the cylinder full of fuel till in runs out the muffler if the exhaust valve is in the open possession.

Did you even change the gas.. gas goes bad in 2-3 months.
