Absolutely.
Reggie Bush was the visual representation of what every high school running back aspires to be in their careers! He had all the highlights, won multiple bowl games and championships, video game cover (NCAA Football 2007), won the Heisman trophy, AND topped it all off by getting drafted 2nd overall in the 2006 NFL draft! Oh and he won a Super Bowl with the Saints!

Reggie Bush should have kept his Heisman. Yes he received illegal benefits, but he was amazing in 2006, a highlight reel every week.

No he did not receive “illegal” benefits. He simply received benefits. There are no such legal statutes in law that have any pertinence to the ncaa. If they were he would have been arrested, indicted, sentenced and jailed. His violation have the same legal weight as any violation in the cub scouts. Essentially 0 lbs.
There is nothing "illegal" about it. It is simple against NCAA rules unless you are Alabama, Clemson, Texas etc.

He was paid to play football while at USC and USC didn't suspend him even though it knew he was being paid. That's an unfair advantage.
His step dad was actually paid so Bush would sign with an agent when he left. Bush then said he didn't want to sign with him. Agent then said pay me back $300k or I'll tell the NCAA I gave your parents and you all this stuff, and the rest is history.
NCAA told USC that they "should have known" (literally said that in the report) what Bush's parents were doing. There is no evidence they knew which is why McNair is winning his court case against the NCAA.
Reggie never received extra benefits to attend USC. It was money given to sign with an agent that had no affiliation with the university.
