I understand this feeling, this happened to me,. My abuser was screaming in court for justice with open arms to the sky, his acting was perfect until he got stuck on his own lies, so the game was over for him. I left the court with a restriction order against him. I only can thank God for his justice and the judge that found the truth by himself.

Johnny's final comments were very heartbreaking, powerful and sincere. As he implied himself, the ultimate decision made by the jury isn't going to change the fact that this has been a cathartic experience for him. I'm glad he's been able to put the truth out there and people have responded so much. It must be so nice for him to finally say all of this and see and feel the support he's getting.
My sympathy. I have never experienced v however, after two bereavements i felt my defences were low. I felt some not nice people picked up on ut. The timing,the day his. Mother passed. Seems extraordinarily insensitive. But i feel it reflects her fesr of a abandonment
I had a girl try to kick me out of vocational and trade school because we shared the same class and she thought I was staring at her. Despite her not realizing that the teachers desk and her seat were both across the room in the same direction of each other. So in order to look at and listen to the teacher I had to look passed her, she thought I was creepily staring at her. Its petty nonsense like that that I cannot stand. And the school administration believed her over me!

This was very powerful and sincere testimony from an honest man speaking truth. It's heart wrenching to have to watch Johnny describe how Amber's false accusations have affected him. So sad. So cruel what she has done to him. But Johnny stepped up and did what he had to do - despite how painful and humiliating it was for him - to speak the truth. Yes, I've been questioning this all through the case. Doesn't sound right to me either. Heard's lawyers have been applying it to even the thoughts of the witness they're questioning!! Of course, objecting has been their prime weapon in trying to stop vital evidence from being heard, but I believe the judge should rightly not have allowed this to happen.
According to Wiki, hearsay is "testimony from an under-oath witness who is reciting an out-of-court statement, the content of which is being offered to prove the truth of the matter asserted". Nothing specifying that the witness must not be the one who made the statement. I first thought this was a bit counter-intuitive myself, but it makes sense when you think about it. I'm not sure the second part of the definition is met in this case though.

It really bothers me the double standards many people have when they talk about Depp and his stuttering and struggling to speak. Yes, he's done a lot of drugs and it will eventually affect you brain, but he has diagnosed anxiety and has always been slow to speak. Slower now after the drugs and with age. But more than that, had Amber went up on the stand stuttering and struggling to share her stories, everyone would have felt bad and said it was ptsd. People would have had empathy. But when a man goes up on stand and does the same, suddenly it's different and suddenly he's lying or he's just an addict (which is exactly what Amber's team implanted in everyone's head so they wouldn't feel empathy). He's acting like an actual victim. Struggles to talk about the events. Exhausted. Beaten down. Anxious and nervous like an actual person with ptsd. And his stories never changes. This was very powerful and sincere testimony from an honest man speaking truth. It's heart wrenching to have to watch Johnny describe how Amber's false accusations have affected him. So sad. So cruel what she has done to him. But Johnny stepped up and did what he had to do - despite how painful and humiliating it was for him - to speak the truth. Like Johnny said, "No human being is perfect, certainly not, none of us". Wise words from an honest, gentle man. I'm so happy that justice was served and truth prevailed.

Honestly I had never watched pirates series because I was busy studying at that time. Now after this trial I was impressed by Johnny’s sense of humour and thoughts pirates would be a good watch. So last 4 days 1 movie per day and this man is clearly one of the finest actors of all times. Unrecognisable and such brilliant sense of humour. Pirates 4 was just mind blowing. Yes, I've been questioning this all through the case. Doesn't sound right to me either. Heard's lawyers have been applying it to even the thoughts of the witness they're questioning!! Of course, objecting has been their prime weapon in trying to stop vital evidence from being heard, but I believe the judge should rightly not have allowed this to happen.
According to Wiki, hearsay is "testimony from an under-oath witness who is reciting an out-of-court statement, the content of which is being offered to prove the truth of the matter asserted". Nothing specifying that the witness must not be the one who made the statement. I first thought this was a bit counter-intuitive myself, but it makes sense when you think about it. I'm not sure the second part of the definition is met in this case though.

It really bothers me the double standards many people have when they talk about Depp and his stuttering and struggling to speak. Yes, he's done a lot of drugs and it will eventually affect you brain, but he has diagnosed anxiety and has always been slow to speak. Slower now after the drugs and with age. But more than that, had Amber went up on the stand stuttering and struggling to share her stories, everyone would have felt bad and said it was ptsd. People would have had empathy. But when a man goes up on stand and does the same, suddenly it's different and suddenly he's lying or he's just an addict (which is exactly what Amber's team implanted in everyone's head so they wouldn't feel empathy).
He's acting like an actual victim. Struggles to talk about the events. Exhausted. Beaten down. Anxious and nervous like an actual person with ptsd. And his stories never changes. Whereas Amber felt rehearsed and over the top. It felt phoney. She was also staring him down the entire time and smirking and being very smug. A victim of such awful accusations doesn't act like this toward their abuser. She acts exactly how she did on those audio tapes when she was exposed. Aggressive while he is the opposite.
