S1 (SDM) side is not less gnarly than the Maelstrom side, you simply did the 2 entry level (single black) , but their is 5 double black trail that are as gnarly as the Maelström side. Maelström has more slow tech/trial , S1 is more gravity oriented
True! That's a better way of putting it. I think in my mind I see flow/gravity as less gnarly, but that's a personal thing
@@The_Sampler both LbCycle and LBC-2 are what we call flow tech, they have relatively fast rock garden section and high risk exposure.

Got to say, having ridden there - GoPro (and Alex's skills) doesn't do those features justice!
If Phil says Magneto is the hardest trail he's ridden then you can be assured it's crazy hard. I'm pretty sure Phil has ridden Tresspasser before, so I would wonder how it compares to the "world's hardest legal trail"
