This was exactly the type and style of ambient sounds I was needing for the chapter I am writing in my How to Train Your Dragon fan-fiction right now.
Have you tried making the ambient sounds as if there were a bit more distant? What I mean is the "microphone" sounds as if it is right next to the window. This might be an idea for another ambient video. For example, say Hiccup is standing at the center of The Great Hall. All the rain and thunder sounds would be somewhat muffled as he is inside and the weather sounds are outside. But since The Great Hall has a level of acoustics, they could still be heard. The perfect scene that has this is when Hiccup reads The Dragon Book for the first time. If there was an ambient video like that, that would be epic.
Well, if there were practically anything connected to How to Train Your Dragon, I would think it was epic XD.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback on the ambient sounds! I really appreciate you taking the time to provide such detailed suggestions. You make an excellent point about adjusting the distance of the microphone to create a more immersive soundscape where the listener is centered in a location with exterior ambient noise coming from further away. Moving forward, I will experiment more with distant, surrounding microphone placements to try and achieve that fully immersive atmosphere you described. Best regards!

@@GenAIHub You are quite welcome. All the sounds are very similar to weather in the Midwestern United States that I enjoy. While there is lightning and thunder a lot, the steady rain is quite calming that me and my family can just watch the clouds and lighting and listen to the rain for a long time and be completely entertained. So, I appreciated and a related to the sounds of this mix.
I know Adobe Premiere Pro has some preset sound filters you could play around with by simply selecting the video's soundwave and just applying the preset, but these presets can sometimes take away realism. To more finely tune this you could subtly use the presets on the different layers (rain, lightning, thunder, etc.) or how you layer the sounds to use the same regular ambience you upload but just change the filters or presets and upload an additional mix with the filters or presets applied.
This mix helped spark some inspiration for the book I am writing, so I thought I would try to help spark some ideas for you.
      :D

@@drumsofberk Thank you for your thoughtful feedback on my thunderstorm sounds video. I appreciate you taking the time to listen and provide suggestions.
You raise a good point about subtlety being key when applying audio filters and presets. Maintaining realism is vital for ambient mixes like these. I really like your idea of tuning different layers separately as needed, rather than applying a harsh global effect. That should help preserve the organic quality.
I'll be sure to experiment with some gentle tweaks in those areas for future videos. Useful insights like yours will help me improve the viewer experience incrementally. Thanks again for watching and for the thoughtful feedback - it's comments like this that keep me motivated to produce more ambient content. Please keep the ideas coming, and best wishes with your writing projects! : )

@@GenAIHub You are quite welcome. There are a plethera of ambient mixes out there, some channels that I do like. But this mix stood out to me. Partially because of how much it sounds like summer weather where I live, which is probably why I like it so much. It sounds so realistic. I was searching for some good ambient mixes and yours just made me stop and listen.
I will do my best and I will hang around to listen more.
      Thank you. :)
