That part that starts roughly at 0:39 made me feel something that I havn't felt in a while. I imagined myself playing this on a cello, feeling myself sway back and forth with each bowstroke. And suddenly I remembered what it felt like to be playing in an orchestra. Not just playing notes while others do the same, but REALLY playing, feeling the music instinctively, getting that sensation of being one with everyone else in the group. That connection you get, thats something that I havn't felt in a while now, but that one little section made me remember what it was like for a second there. Thanks.
You worded that exactly like how I feel too. Kinda cool how good music can do that, right?
@@Coolnerd89 Yeah, that is really cool. I sometimes think about how we would interact with an alien race if they suddenly showed up on our doorstep with the intent of talking to us. I think the first thing we would do is start with mathematics. probably start off with "1 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 4" etc, then move on to the Fibonacci sequence, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, etc" and then on to pi and e and so forth and so on.
But I think that a very close second might be music. Certainly before we start with trying to teach them our language. Music seems to be one of the few things that almost everyone, regardless of background, language, education, etc, can be exposed to and have the same reaction as any other random person. They may have no ability to communicate with the guy standing next to them, but if you play the right music, (and they have similar tastes) you can get them to share a common experience.
Then again, creating that kind of sensation, of being one with a larger group, probably takes a lot of upfront communication. But once you have that framework, once you get to know how the group behaves, it takes on a life of its own. It becomes almost like a super-organism made up of all the component players, and coordinated by the conductor. But it reacts organically, dynamically, to the actions of each of its members. THATS what I love about it. That its almost like the music and the group exist as a living thing.
@@UnderTimed Thats really cool that you got to experience that. Thats one of the really cool things about music. People often call it a "universal language" but what I dont hear as much is the different "dialects" of music so to speak. Playing a solo can convey ideas and emotions just as playing in an orchestra can, just as playing in a 5 ish person jazz group can, but each one creates a different experience for the player.
i have now felt that way till 1:59
although I am still playing in an orchestra, the fine definition of each string instrument in this song always brings my mind back into the stage. The lights rooms dim, the lights shine down, the conductor prepares his baton, and with a very light flick, the music beings. I can feel the stage, the anticipation, and the feeling of the vibrations from the violin in my hands. this is quite an amazing orchestral mix.
If anyone makes a Deltarune fan movie trailer, i'd be offended if this isn't playing in the background

Beware! There be spoilers below.
When I played through Deltarune, I was pretty shook. The intro was unnerving and the whole game playing out like an AU made characters I thought I knew from the previous game feel distant.
And then this track played during the legend, and it made me think that there was a reason for everything being ever-so-slightly off. It made me think there was some powerful and mysterious force currently lying in the woodwork altering game's timeline (Ralsei even mentions the legend being foretold by time and space), and that the later chapters of Deltarune will shed light on this grand struggle as the story begins to unravel.
So, thank you Osirois for composing such a beautiful rendition of this song, matching and even exceeding the triumphant and epic tone of the original!

i like toby fox. whenever dude releases something i get a game to play, theories to craft, fans to discuss with and fan covers to listen to when doing the above.
This arrangements is definitely something especial. It starts of as mystical, then it becomes epic, after it changes into somewhat cinematic, and it ends with a feeling of resolution, but leaving part of the story to come at a later date.

Ah, yes. The eternal question. Excellent work allowing the heroic horns to prevail and lead the melody when it matters most. It truly sounds like "The Legend."
Great rendition, the instrument choice gives it a rich and noble feeling. The warm brass then taken over by the flutes creates a great contrast. Well done!

This song sounds just so... So legendary, it sounds like we've had this song forever, for heroic tales long since passed, bit the music still remains. Toby knows how to create music, and osciris knows how to exponentially grow it

Okay, I'm going to be honest here.
I got recommended a few videos from this channel, and I remember them being really good, so I clicked, but the videos that new were being recommended to me by this channel just so happened to be, well, not my favorites, they sounded more like random ambience than the deltarune/undertale tunes I was looking for, and so I honestly had begun to steer away from this channel, but then I saw the Undyne the Undying (But the World Refused to Die) video, and I remembered it being good, and so I clicked, giving this channel another chance, that led me to more good videos that I truly enjoyed, and now I see that I previously just got recommended a few bad (not actually bad just not my personal favorite) videos. This channel has a style of long buildups that aren't always my preference, however, there's a lot of good videos on this channel now and I will definitely be watching more often, thank you.

I loved this track so much when I first heard it in the game. And hearing this arranged as an orchestral cover, I gotta say this sounds AMAZING! There's so much power here, and it almost sounds like something that'd play in a movie.
