After all the bad cops, mean cops, and rude cops, it was amazing to meet an actual nice cop!!! Actual decent police!!! My encounter with this nice officer sure beat the usual police harassment!!!

VaDE_PLaYZ the thing is she wrote down all of his information the law is you don't need to tell the cops your id unless they tell you are being detained or have any suspicions of committing a crime. So she didn't really she just tricked him and talked to him while they were talking and now that she has his info they can put on his record he was violating the law.

This video is a great insight in to how many police interactions begin and end. Not everyone is going to engage in small talk and I believe that is what makes this encounter seem different. I was a police officer for 25 years in Tampa, and I worked as a training officer. Most of my career was midnight shift and centered close to downtown. It was full of commercial, residential, and entertainment areas. It would be fair to call a lot of areas violent and full of drug activity too. Even though you try to begin each encounter the same, it doesn’t always work out like that. The violence will change the way you behave. One thing I always tried to convey to other officers, new and old, was to not be a dick. Here in Tampa, we were good. Damn good. It was the younger ones that always needed to learn that message to not be a dick. You get more cooperation and less resistance when you’re being nice. But there are people out there hell bent to bring death and destruction into the world. Another thing to remember is that people generally don’t call the police when they’re having a good day. Just think how much better the world would be if everyone stopped being dicks to each other.
By the way, while Ofc Estrada’s death remains a mystery, at least we have a glimpse of her warm personality. She looks like she was a beautiful soul and a treasure lost. I pray there is justice to be found.

Social Security Number (SSN) in the US is basically the way they identify us for tax purposes. You also have to have one to legally work and have your taxes automatically withheld. On top of that, since people have his Name, SSN and Date of Birth, it is real easy to apply for credit cards etc. If I was the poster of this video, I would find a way to edit the video, block out that info and repost it if wanted, but as said, already 2 mil + have seen it.

Well if you believe that they are abusing the law and it is a corporate scandal, then why are people hell-bent to fade odds in their favor by contributing to the escalation. I am an immigrant (now Green Card), who looks Hispanic but is Indian, I have encountered my fair share of cops in traffic but never have any such situation lasted more than10 minutes. Why... because I co-operate and have nothing to hide.

For those who don’t know, she died by a gunshot wound in her head on Jan 1st 2018. It was ruled a suicide right away but happened within hours after she left a new years eve party where she had an argument with her boyfriend (also a cop) and others.
The family is since trying to get more info because many things don’t add up, and there is a gofundme for that if you type her name.

True. There is also a statistic that says, when you have a positive experience, say with a shop or a restaurant, on the average you tell it to your friends about 3 times. But if you have a negative experience you tell it about 20 times.
That is unfair, but we can all do something to change that and it will also make us all feel better.
Octopussyist I think we are quick to tell negative things for survival purposes, same with spreading good news. If we tell people cheetahs are bad we will feel better knowing the next person won't get attacked. Not only did you save someone, you gain trust in exchange for the helpful advice. With that trust you gain credibility so people will likely return to you for help. When you help people you can make deals and gain from them.
As for the good news it's a little different, it's a mixture of losing out and social acceptance. We don't tell good news to everyone because them finding out can result in you losing out. If you found a waterfall that spawns gold would you tell everyone?
To add on it's socially accepted to be nice, to be human, to help our team. So a cop being a human is him or her doing what she's supposed to do posing no threat whereas the cop that shoots people is a threat. Bad news travels faster because we subconsciously care about credibility and each other.

I was attacked by a male cop. I was half a sleep in my car when the cops came up to me. They drove a white van. At first I didn't understand the white van were cops and packed full of them. I see a nice woman smiling at me really friendly. My first thought what the hell is going on. Then I realize it's cops. She told me to find another place to idle. That was alright with me but I couldn't drive till the cops let me out and in my opinion I had a nice and polite conversation with the friendly smiling female cop. Out of nothing the male cop driver yelled. WILL YOU FF's SAKE MOVE!!!??? I was so shocked. WTF? Me and him gave eachother the evil eye. He was asian tho. I said. Get back to your police state. This is not how we talk to eachothere here. I am not used to be talked to like that. He tear up his door. Came running towards me. Teared up my door and dragged me out of my car. I started to fight back. All of a sudden he came to sense and acted reasonable. He even brushed dirt of my clothes. I felt bad for him. I am pretty sure that he was on steroids. I regret I didn't ask what his female collegue failed bcoz she was in charge. Did she handle me wrong?
She seemed so refreshingly nice it's sad to think that when the curtains were closed she was battling some demons or later experienced something so horrible that it drove her to suicide 😢

I have witnessed a police officer harshly questioning a young man who had a metal disability. This made the young man break down in tears. The police officer wrongly claimed that he had been using drugs.
If the police officer had approached him without being so pushy, the man would had been able to respond accordingly.

Imagine having to panhandle outside of a place where you once had a job. The bus driver won’t let you on. Business owners don’t want you around. Cops wake you up and give you shit and harass you. What a degrading life. What if one of those business owners gave him a coffee and a muffin and spoke to him instead of calling the cops? Treat people with a bit of dignity maybe? She’s a great officer. That’s how you deal with peaceful people who are just trying to survive.

Liam Harrison she did not kill herself there was mo evidence of this in the autopsy according to her parents the parents suspect her bf who works for the police i feel like she broke the blue wall of silence and the party of cops got upset with her and she was killed
