When I saw rum and Tryers I must admit that I expected it to be pretty raucous...but instead it was quite subdued and pleasant! Now if you introduced some dark rums and went nuts on some mai tais I imagine that would change quickly !
You guys have to do the "original" Puerto Rican "limoncillo". Two cups of lemon Crystal Light; one liter of Bacardí; one gallon of water. Dump or drink about half of the gallon of water, dump the entire liter of Bacardí in the water jug, dump the two cups of Crystal Light, and shake until the Crystal Light powder is fully dissolved. It is better if you use "Don Q Limon"😉

As someone who goes through 2 1.75L of Bacardi a week, this video pleases me. Rum goes well with virtually ANY mixer. Juice, cola, coffee, milkshakes, ice, I could go on. Best is Bacardi dark rum, with coke.

So I was lucky enough to tour a bacardi factory in Puerto Rico when I was 19 with my ex husband. There is a version of bacardi you can only buy at the factory because so few bottles are made. My ex bought a bottle to drink on our anniversary. He ended up drinking it when our divorce went through instead 🤣😂🤣. We are cool now and I'm not mad at it.

As a rum drinker almost exclusively I can confirm that sours and old fashions are excellent with rum. Personal favorite is 4oz rum then 1/3 of the remaining volume cranberry juice (not cocktail) and top off with about 2/3 water.
For the old fashioned comment at 8.52: originly old fashioned can be made with any kind of spirit. Its a modern thing that we mainly making them with bourbon. I made really nice old fahioned with Bacardi Ocho.
That Medicinal taste, usually orange rind. I first noticed it in over proof Southern comfort from 1958, it was 80% and really tasted like medicine. Good for ageing.

The night I graduated from high school, Pat O’Briens was filled with my classmates. Probably 100 of us made it there that night. I might have had a hurricane or 3 (maybe some mint juleps too).

for me Cap Morgan spiced rum is a tad better, taste wise with soda it rules supreme!
Bacardi Limon and Diet Coke is really wonderful, especially on a warm day (less sugar leads to lower chance of hangovers).

Make a cocktail with the anejo (2 parts) and the lemon (1 part) Bacardis, with a twist of orange to garnish and a dash or two of peychaud's bitters.
You also should try (pun intended) the black rum. It’s a sipper for me. Lots of molasses notes and much smoother than the white rums.

Bacardi used to make a 151 proof rum 75.5% abv. But they discontinued in the US I drank it once in high school.
