I think these type of deals are interesting if you can get the same bike but with the opposite issues. If you could find one with engine issues and manage to perform a transplant then you could save alot. But it's 90% timing and patience finding deals like this when they come around and have to be something which you can take an educated good chance on it.
You bought the bike Isle of Man TT racer John McGuinness famously called "A BOX FULL OF NEUTRALS". Guess we'll find out of the main frame is tweaked, and/or the engine has a problem.
Hi, I recently imported a race subframe from Germany for the same model bike for a friend who flipped his bike, very impressive part, total cost landed in JHB was just under R12k.
Hey I wanted to say thanks for making the video about the Pandomoto Base Layer. I bought the newer AAA leggings and they changed my attitude to riding gear and I really love them.
I am really looking forward to this series of videos and can’t wait to see the finished result. Best of luck in this rebuild. The Fireblade is truly one of my dream bikes !!
awesome to see you start another rebuild. I would be scared shitless with the prospect of riding a bike that has been crashed this badly but maybe this series will convince me that it can be done. so now everyone please rewatch the episode seven times 😅best of luck on this new project, excited to see whats coming
Im so happy you decided to tackle another bike, the R1 was one of the best series i watched regarding bike repair. Its mainly the way you format your videos and input personal feelins, very entertaining, looking foward to next episode.
Check, the tilt sensor may be dangling, usually it is under the headlights housing, due to the crash looks like whole headlight housing is a mess. Hence Bike is not starting. Always love your content. Can’t wait to see the whole project Come together, all the best!
If this is the same bike i saw a black super bike go down on the R21 on the way to the airport. The bike went down and then rear ended a trucks double rear wheels. This was about November 2023.
my god am i excited that you have a new project. really liked your R1 videos and though i still understand jack shit about bikes, i will so enjoy these!
I actually rebuilt a crashed Yamaha XJ6 for $1,500. The front was smashed, snapped forks, crushed radiator and thermo fan, and smashed fairings and bent front rim. Only cost cost me about 3,000 to repair. Still riding it today and love it. I now know my bike inside out.
at least there are no winglets. That thing costs too much for its own good, and best to be clipped like the rest of many idiotic super sport these days. Too bad I can't say for the rest. Good luck! We wish your rebuilding journey yields fruits.
I've seen exactly this damage plenty before on track and on the road. He was going quick in a corner and low sided. The bike slid along the bitumen, then onto the dirt, then oggyknob dug in and flipped it over, bending the forks and breaking the subframe on the way back down as it cartwheeled.
I rebuilt a 390 duke earlier this year. Had to replace the main frame of it, which meant disassemble everything. Looking back it really wasnt that difficult at all. The 390 duke might be a simpler bike but I doubt it'll be too different overall to this fireblade :) u got this and good luck
in some of the parts you can use aftermarket performance parts so that this beast doesn't just get restores but better than before e.g.-> you can change the foot pecs with racing pecs which would look amazing
I have a crashed Kawasaki ZZR1100 (ZX-11), but I crashed it myself, lol. Apart from the obvious damage, the radiator sheared off it's mounting causing it to leak. I didn't know and drove without cooling 1000km in two days in hot weather. It overheated time after time and eventually it began to make a new rattling noise. I then discovered the sheared radiator, replaced it and went on the road again, with cooling liquid. Next the head gasket blew, so I had to replace that too and then the fresh oil and cooling had to be replaced. I'm still not done yet. Give yourself a pair of working gloves by the way, it's much safer. Very interesting video.
wonderful for my OCD to see someone use two ramps to wheel a bike off single handed avoiding the chances of dropping the bike when you have the hight diffence jumping of the tailgate the slipping sideways of the front wheel highlighted plan as much as you like it can still go wrong in a blink of the eye luckily slip under control now imagine dealing with that slip with a single ramp
😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂 how hard can it be. Wait wait wait, aren't you the one who decided doing a motorcycle wrap ended up being a just good enough job , and got a pro involved to get it just right. Not faulting you on an attempt, love your channel, which is why I subscribe. 😊
There are oilers for motorcycle chains like the cobrra nemo 2 that use gearbox or even chainsaw oil for lubrication. It is perfectly find and in my experienace the chains last longer. If you ride in the rain though the oil tends get flung off more than compared to grease.
The wear on the side is pretty impressive. Looks like it had some speed while it slid. Which begs the question wether the front and read impact happened before or after sliding. If the bike slid off to somewhere the fork and frame damage could have happened afterwards. Nonetheless im intrigued to see how the steering head looks if the forks are bent that heavily
Just a heads up… Africa Twin owner in South Africa. The OEM parts are seriously expensive and the lead times on backorders are absolutely crazy. Had to wait 9 months for a rear luggage carrier.
I’ve always wanted to go almost 200 miles an hour on a superbike that probably has cracks and loose bolts and something bent or a bike that had been laying on its side and dragged onto a tow truck. I’m sure everything that was laying in the oil pan stayed right in the bottom of that pan.
I can't imagine the pain of restoring a crashed bike. My mate and I struggled to remove a bolt, on his bike that he dropped at 20km/h, for +/- 2hours 😂
Nice project ! But if you want to make this kind of job, you'll need a proper workshop, tool set and a real bike lifting table... It could also be an cheap option to turn it into a track bike... or some kind of a street fighter, cofee racer or something not really genuinly Honda but fitting you design taste !
Now thats how you continue the R1 like series
You just saved yourself with this comment here😂
Bro's gonna restore every bike he gets in discount😂
Because why tf not?😂
maybe because he has enough budget
Nothing better than a cheap bike!
😂
@@izzyghostyno, he doesn’t just have enough budget, these videos automatically refill the budget
Bro spent 11 minutes showing why it was a bad purchase, and then zoomed in on MORE damage. Subscribed.
bro about to rebuild every discontinued bike then sell it when the price skyrocketed. im here for it!!
About time someone started repairing crash damaged bikes, usually only the cars get the love
Can't wait for a restoration with glitter fluo-pink fairings to nicely compliment the baby blue R1! :D
1:09 “i mean how hard could it be” famous last words😂😂
This is such a stupid idea to one up the last project and I'm all here for it🤣
As Hammond always said: "DON'T SAY THAT!!"

I'm so glad you're doing projects like these, i wont lie, ever since the R1 project I've been itching to watch more of what you're working on.
It always makes me happy to see a bike like this repaired. well done. looking forward to the next one. cheers
4:21Check those tires, previous owner could corner lekker. Good chance he went down around a corner and it slid head on to a stop.

That's alot better than the R38k Honda wanted lol.
0:10 if you look closely it has been modified.
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
i love rebuild videos so much, and considering how cohesive and watchable your video style is this is a godsend series
Hey I wanted to say thanks for making the video about the Pandomoto Base Layer. I bought the newer AAA leggings and they changed my attitude to riding gear and I really love them.
Definitely looking forward to watching your new adventure, although maybe not 7 times.
Love your channel!

We need longer videos man please.

Bro is like @Mat Armstrong, but of the biking community and I'm all for it.
This channel will grow big given it's current trajectory. All the best!
I love watching rebuilding motorcycles videos it's strangely satisfying 🏍🥇
This seems like an awesome project and I'm already impatient for part 2.
If this is the same bike i saw a black super bike go down on the R21 on the way to the airport. The bike went down and then rear ended a trucks double rear wheels. This was about November 2023.
I mean if you look at the damage it looks like it fits
These videos are getting real good! Also another look at the R1 and, boy does it look fantastic! Those rims and that paint job are perfect!
me setting this video on loop so bro can continue this series 😍
my god am i excited that you have a new project. really liked your R1 videos and though i still understand jack shit about bikes, i will so enjoy these!
Perfect projects for your channel name 👏 chaos and chaos
Great idea! Hope there’s many more restorations next
Yes! More stuff like the R1 build and this please!
Digging the new hair cut! Oh and nice choice on the new rebuild!!

And that's how an addiction begins my friend 😂😂😂 #7🤣🤣🤣
Looking forward to the rebuild!
Crazy upload timing as im looking for CBRs 😂
Glad to see another project! I really liked the R1 series so I look forward to this Fireblade series!
Keep doing restorations, we love your videos

I think this is a great counterpoint to the now complete R1 series. Keep up the quality content!
You have chosen the hard way. I'm all hear for it and will watche every video of it.

@@ChaosCauses thanks for letting me know man😂❤👍
Wow that blue carbon wrap on R1 looks dope
Wrap ?

I really enjoy these series, very satisfying.
Amazing series! All the best for the project. One of the dream bikes i would love to own !
ahh yea another restoration series, gonna be fun
Finally! Back to the best Japanese brand 😁
Good luck!
Always liked Honda's engine case design. Looks really good.
Love your build series, keep up the good work !! :D
Nice love the restoration video series keep it coming
Kinda crazy that you get those features in 390 duke nowadays.
Those zip ties are actually an oem part :D I was surprised myself when I was working on mine which is identical
Silly Honda
I knoooow 😅 It's just for holding some of the cables ticked behind the air intake. @@ChaosCauses

Nice promising project.. keep up the good work 👏.. had similar start on wrecked CBR600RR.. ended up after 2 months selling it to another dreamer 😂..

We want more videos like this.... and make more projects like this... pls make a pre-owned daytona675r project too..
Send the forks to MP Suspension in Cape Town. They can straighten them for you as well
This is gonna be great!
Whatching from brazil!
Nice project, keep going bro!
Looking forward to this project.
