Thank you for all the useful information. I am looking for a word for a noise of a sad mother camel who is crying in seeking of her dead or lost calf. Mongolians do not think that "crying" is not a good word. hhh. In fact, it is a sad sound but more graceful than human crying or general animal crying. You might have listened to this noise or sound while you were in Mongolia or may be not. It is an heart breaking sad and longed yet an incredibly melodious noise which is made by a mourning mother camel. In other case, it is not necessary sad but melodious when they look for their calves. In mongolian, the word is буйлах or builakh. Thank you.

Lament, yowl, bewail - all good options.

Do camels enjoy running like a horse does. I'm asking this bey I watched some camel races and in them I kept seeing the camels being hit. I try that people that race horses found that the horse will run faster when a whip is not used because horses naturally enjoy the competition and the whip distracts rather than increase speed. Is it the same for camels?

I don't like seeing them being whipped when they race.
