Madness World Record. We mostly have the Jokers we want; the next stage is deck-building. If you pay attention, you might learn something.

I loved the part where invisible joker said "Its sock and busking time" and proceeded to sock and busking all over the place. 😂

49:10 I've never understood this. Yes, your Temperance does get "worse" - but isn't it generating the same amount of money relative to every other purchase you can make, except Rerolls which have their own source of discount and Retcons which you generally don't need to use often enough that their price is the issue? Like sure for Chicot strats, one Temperance funding fewer Retcons when you're Manacle hunting sucks. But for anything else, in turn, your Lucky cards get stronger, and you're at the point where you're getting more of those than Temps to a degree that it more than evens out.
tbh rerolls are what most of your money goes to
like the other comment said, rerolls are where most of the money goes to in these longer runs as that's the main way to get the jokers needed to score higher and last longer. This is the main reason to my knowledge.
It's also possible that rounding messes with the ratio a bit, as probably the second largest money sink is booster packs which are divided well by the sale %s whereas the specific sell values on your jokers might not. For example, if you have five jokers that sell for $2 and take clearance sale they may now all sell for $1, effectively halving your temperance value even though you only got the 25% discount (Though this is an extreme example)
The most important thing is interest and rerolls. Most of your shops later on are rerolling looking for Jokers you do want and Tarots, until you get down to interest money. If you halve the amount of money you get from Temperance, even though it's technically the same buying power, it means you're getting less rerolls than you were, and each temperance you find isn't as effective as keeping you above the interest threshold
The discount voucher has kind of the opposite issue of the magic trick. With magic trick it’s useless now but it’s useful much later. The problem with discount is that eventually the only things you are spending money on that are discounted are spectral packs (maybe), like 3 specific jokers, temperances, hermits and fools. Maybe planet packs if you have telescope but there still ends up being a spot where even planets don’t really matter.
It's a pacing question. Early it's great, late it really isn't doing anything except hurting you. Late game when you're rerolling the shop up to $20 or more you're not really buying much apart from the occasional planet, hermit and temperance.
Let's say on average each shop you buy 10 cards at $3, after clearance sale these are all $2 so you save $10. But each temperance you see that shop or in future shops after clearance sale is $12 less.
I loved the part where the doc said "it's spectrin' time" and spectrered all over the place... wait, are we watching the same video?

Just in time for lunch.. YES YES YES
I ate for the entire video lol
yoo have you heard about misprint tech??
At 10:00 why did madness not destroy either the DNA or the invisible joker? Anyone know?
It was the boss blind. Madness doesn't trigger when selecting the boss blind now, which makes it more viable for non-endless runs by allowing you to skip.
Wish more people streamed on RUclips if they were going to stream. Twitch is a genuinely garbage platform.
Every platform has its drawbacks. Twitch's latest mobile UI update was feels like a step in the wrong direction, for example. However, way more people stream on Twitch, and they choose to for various reasons. As a content creator, Twitch has features RUclips straight up doesn't.
