the vast site at Heathrow - a few jet-wings from the live runways - has been left to rot.
Eerie snaps give a glimpse of another world, with layers of moss and dust covering one-time critical training equipment.
Flight simulators used by pilots to execute their professional teaching modules lie unused beneath layers of dirt and grime.

Hangars, once a thriving community for thousands of airline staff, have been allowed to turn derelict.
Desks where crew were given last minute lectures before flights are covered in moss and mould and plaster from crumbling ceilings.
Training manuals are almost obscured in dirt after being abandoned for years.
BA’s Cranebank hub at Heathrow has been left to rot for at least five years

At Cranebank, staff used to be put through their paces in case of inflight emergencies. Real-life scenarios played out there included cabin crew escaping from a plane down a chute.

They also got the chance to enter a smoke chamber, experience a pilot incapacitation exercise, and practise getting people onto a life raft if a plane lands in the sea.
Pilots and cabin crew were based at the hub, east of the two main Heathrow runways, which was understood to have had issues with asbestos.

Love Airshows Matt . In 1986 at EXPO in Vancouver . They had the Most Air Force Teams from different Countries that I had ever Seen in my life . The Abbosford Air Show was advertised as the 3 rd largest after Paris and I believe Payne Field . Back in 68 69 & 70 71 . It was 10 to 12 bucks a carload . You could stuff a Bunch in a Old American Boat and have a Blast .
Your luck is truly astounding! Good show old chap. I'm glad you aren't in America doing that because, you would probably get shot and I want you to be alive as the police and even security often shoot first now-a-days.

the building at the front is still a British Airways data center and in use. security was stepped up after a fire in the maintenance department at the back near where you got in there was also tons of fly-tipped rubbish all over the site that has now been cleared. I went there in 2019 there was only one security guard at the front gate and they didn't come in. you've still yet to see the oldest simulator in there but maybe next time.
Absolute HELL of an explore. You jammy sods getting out at the time you did with just moments to spare.

If Mathew and Jordan were sussed so easily, how come the 'wire & copper enthusiasts' were able to go about their business with seeming impunity from the site security, then? It must have been bleeding obvious with just the noise from the thieves' activities looking how all the buildings have been concisely robbed and resolutely trashed.
Thieving on that scale is pretty noticeable, surely..?
In addition, how the hell did they get the swag off site and presumably weighed in before heading back to the caravans after another hard day at someone else's expense.?
And the water is left on to the stage where grass and moss has such a hold too? That wasn't just a leaking roof all the way down to the ground floor either so, a bit of lead piping missing too then guv'nor?

Been there many times.....done loads of courses .........when it was in use of course ......shame it’s left to ruin !

@@TheSecretVault yes they used to run pretty much 24/7 ......some of it could have been sold to other operators for training!

It's a disgrace that all that stuff is left behind. Those chairs and office desks could have been sold or given to the public and prevented x amount to be manufactured. Those big building could be used for commercial use.

Am I right in thinking if they catch you and tell you to get off the property. If you go back again, then you can get arrested and charged for aggravated trespass? But on that particular site perhaps you could get charged anyway? That was such a close call. Literally seconds!

One explorer was clocked on roof and he layed there spying on security till it got dark then police turned up had no choice in the end to give up was surrounded 🤣 great place to explore tho

Is this the one switched to private that's been re published? I downloaded it coz I couldn't watch it. Tool up loads of space so I'll delete it later. I just have to watch this. I can't believe the lengths of destruction in these buildings from a multi billion pound conglomerate like BA. Leaving all that equipment to nick some wiring makes no sense. Must've taken many many people weeks to cause that devastation. Have you ever tried stripping copper it takes ages. Scandalous

The wall with all the pins on said months then 13 so I guess it closed in 2013 that building.

I went today, as I was leaving 3 secca cars turn up and fixed the hole in the fence.
The called the police but they wouldn't come as its a civil matter and no crime had been committed.
I was taking photos of them and the dog out the window.
I didnt get caught but had to get out by climbing the fence.
They don't seem to want to enter the buildings themselves.
Love the secretvault channel a bit off everything on here as I'm a RUclipsr myself this is one off my favourite channels.

It nearly never happens that you are questioned after the facft as its not criminal, trespass is civil... so they would only be able to tell you not to come back. A waste of time. If they dont get you when your there then nothing happens.
