Oh they pay but you gotta read the fine print….”sure, here’s $45/flgHr” you’re thinking sweet time to bank out! Then comes nothing but warranty job after warranty job, maintenance tickets bypass your stalls like you’ve got the plague and you’re making the same paycheck you were at a lower dollar amount because they’re protecting their bottom line/gross profit by keeping you on the jobs that pay the bigger dollars per ticket vs quicker accumulation of time tickets. It’s all about their Gross Profit at the end of the day

Things are good now, working for an independent garage is different but I really enjoy it and it’s also less stressful
The main problem with the dealership is they just don’t pay
so then why do people work there
