What a fantastic delivery man, just beautiful. Really proud to be your patron.
Come on folks, if you too want to see more of these gems, support! :)
Thanks for being one of my patrons, Julien! I really appreciate the support. You're the best :).
@@sgtsonny I found you because of Julien, you know! I was his patron first.
There something magical in every little thing . In a flower ,in the sun, in the rain and in every man . Miracle is in you . The song enchanted me. My day is wonderful . Thanks !
I'm still here. Still crazy after all these years. This is still my favorite of yours. Oddly enough, Billy Joel brought me here. I just had a total meltdown over his new "Turn the Lights Back On," and it made me sentimental. I read an article ranking all of his songs, and that sent me back to my own "Top 5 from Sonny" list. A Billy Joel song made that list, but this one is still #1. Miss you, Sonny!
Awww Jane. You've always been so kind and supportive. It means so much to me that you would leave me this message out of the blue. I wish I still had the time to record these videos for people like you. I've been very fortunate the last couple of years. The hard work and sacrifices paid off and led me to the life of a professional singer. When I'm not on stage, I'm managing my bands, bookings, socials media, making sure the ball keeps rolling,...
On top of that I won a major music show that aired on national tv, making the whole enterprise escalate to a point where I have no time for anything else than performing and vocal rest on the days I'm not performing. It's heavy, but I love it ❤️
It killed the RUclips channel though. But who knows... Some day I might be able to pick it up again :). Thanks so much for checking in, Jane. I'm so happy to know there are still warm and kind people like you out there. 🙏🏻❤️
@@sgtsonny I'm really happy for your success, of course! I keep track of Mother Mercury as well as I can, which isn't easy since I don't read Flemish (Dutch?). I just saw that you got a shoutout on a TV quiz show! I don't expect you to come back to your one-man barbershop quartet days, but I certainly did enjoy them.
@@janeramirez8767 I did enjoy them as well. The shout-out was just a little bit of fun, really. It's the longest running quiz show on Belgian television. So to be mentioned in it was good fun :).
Thanks for following us. I used to write all the posts in English as well, but since the competition win, we're really focusing on Belgium, so there's not much use for English, since it's all unfolding mainly in the flemish (you got that 100% right! 👍🏻) part of the county. Thanks for all you support! ❤️
Fantastic! As a sixth generation barbershopper, I have been repeatedly impressed with your pure tone and attention to detailed movements. It's such a pleasure to see you perform, Sonny. Thank you for creating and uploading your videos for us to enjoy!
Thank you so very much, Shawn. I really appreciate it when people comment this kind words on my videos, but I especially like it when people notice the details and realize how much time is spent on this little videos ;). Thanks for stopping by!
Man, I'm so sorry I found out about this just now after 7 years! You are truly great! Bravo!
And I'm back again. This is still my favorite.
Hahaha awesome! ❤️
Just so ya know...still love this one. You sent me here, by releasing "You're the Inspiration." Now I have TWO all-time favorites.
Haha like you wrote on the Chicago video: Adam Scott is the man :)
I'm back, hitting the replay button over and over. I like everything you do, but this one just makes me smile and smile. On and on and on and on and on.
I just loved recording this one. Maybe it's that what ignites your strong feelings to smile on some subconscious level :).
Sonny Vande Putte That must be it! Here I am, sick with chikungunya (tropical virus, you can google it) and the electricity has been out for 9 hours and I'm sweating like a Sumo wrestler in a sauna, and all I have to do is put this song on and I'm smiling (and dancing!).
janetranslates I'm no doctor, but I'd refrain from dancing for a while if you're sweating like a sumo wrestler in a sauna already :). Love the enthusiasm though!!
Electricity came back finally (after 11.5 hours!) so I think I'm safe. But maybe I'd better not listen to this song today...
Have been following you for years Sonny , and you just keep getting better n better- clean , clear , tight thanks for posting - Brian-Down Under
Thank a lot for noticing, Brian! I'm glad you enjoy my recordings! Take care
You sir, are amazing!! I'm pretty sure it would be impossible to look more happy than you look when you're singing... in front of a camera... all alone...
Oh my! You are too kind. But you understand how it goes like no other of course :). You hit the nail on the head with that "all alone..."! Often times I wonder: If anybody could see me right now, they'd think I'm stark raving mad :). What can I say? I love singing :D. Thanks for the kind words!!
Just saw this again now, and something came to mind: Once I was recording a video in the living room of the house I was sharing with a colleague/friend, and our boss popped by to chat to her. I just kept on recording because I was only recording the video, lip-syncing to the audio... It was rather strange to be smiling at the camera and trying to make a good recording when my boss was only about 3 metres away having a serious discussion! One of the strangest recording experiences...
***** Hahahaha these are the best kind of 'behind the scenes' anecdotes :). Thanks for sharing ;)
Still my all-time favorite Sonny track. Still watching, still listening, still smiling. Thank you, Sonny.
+janetranslates Haha still one of my favorites as well :). I'm glad I don't stand alone :). Thanks for the support!
Magnificent. Perfect in every detail!
Wow! I just joined a choir, and was looking for videos of Prayer Of The Children so I could learn my bass part. I found yours, and was completely blown away. Love your rendition of Every Little Thing. I was a recording engineer for 25 years, and have worked with many vocalists multi tracking their voices. But I have never heard anyone do it so well... ever!
Wow, that's so kind of you to say so, Mark. I'm so pleased to read that you like my work so much. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me these kind words. I wish you all the best with the choir!!
Love this Sonny, I can't stop smiling! You've got some sass too, I dig it! And that chord at 1:39.. YES. Not to mention I've always loved your facial expressions and movements, so lively!
Duuuuuuuude this is delish! Cool how you imply fluctuating tempo changes without overdoing it. Smooth. Made my weekend seeing u back on here!!!
Thanks a lot Suzy :). Thanks for your contribution as a patron as well!! I can't say how much I appreciate it!
I'm back... Again :D you can't keep me away from this channel. This video made me smile like a dork, your smile is very contagious and this just happens to be one of my favourite Police songs
Ive had this song on repeat all day
Haha I wouldn't want to keep you away from my channel :). I'm glad this song got you so enthusiastic :). Your enthusiasm is contagious as well!!
Amazing job man! Was cruising around RUclips one night and just happened to randomly find your page and I'm glad I did. Absolutely love the work you're doing keep up the awesome job! As a vocalist myself I can really appreciate the quality and style of your work. I love this arrangement and the direction you've taken it. And being a bass I especially love the nice octave drop at 2:25. Very well done! Keep up the amazing work!
A new video from Sonny! Praise the sun!
Praise the sun indeed :D. Thanks for the enthusiasm, it's contagious :)
This is so cooooool. Not only it brings me back good memories, not only I am pleased with your fantastic performance but the arrangement is mind blowing! Good job Sonny, excellent Adam.
Adam is the real genius here :). I would never be able to make a good video if I didn't have such an amazing chart! He's GOOD!! And that's an understatement. I'm glad I was able to bring back some good memories :).
Sonny Vande Putte Granted, Adam gave you a great arrangement, but you LEARNED it, first of all, and that couldn't have been easy! And the execution is all yours. This is a great collaboration. I'm trying SO hard to stop myself from saying that "every little thing you sing is magic," but I guess I failed.
janetranslates You failed indeed, but I love that kind of failure :)
Sonny Vande Putte 8-D
Just mind-blowing!
I have mostly the arranger to thank for that :). Thanks a lot for the kind words!!
I am absolutely stunned by your talent Sonny. (Gives standing ovation)
Thank you very much! (takes a bow) :D
Sonny..
your face when youre singing always makes me smile. I can see the passion and enjoyment you get from singing, and its infectious! Well done :-)
Haha I don't believe I've ever been complimented on that :). Thank you very much :). I do try to entertain as much as I can when I'm doing these projects. I'm glad you enjoy it! Thanks for stopping by.
I love your crystal-clear voice with angelic overtones. I love your appearances with other singers as well. Born to sing? Yes.
Thanks you very much for singing my praises like that :). Take care and stay tuned for the September video :)
Wie immer eine wunderbare Arbeit! Schön ruhiger Song, lädt zum Träumen ein. Mach weiter so, Sonny!
Danke sehr! Ich bin froh, dass es Ihnen gefallen hat! That's all the German I can manage today :)
Your voice is incredible Sonny. Love this, keep up the good work! Inspired me to start a vocal group :)
New video ! :D
I can't say how much love this videos acapella !
Those armonies make me happy.
I'm strangely addicted to this channel. Bravo.
That's not strange at all. It confirms that the subliminal messages in my videos are working ;).
This is absolutely amazing. One of my favorite Police songs perfectly meshed into barbershop style. Fantastic work.
+MistaTwigz Thanks a lot! I'm glad you enjoy it :)
Just recommended this to one of my favorite reactors. If he reacts to it, I'll come back with a link. You always put a smile on my face, Sonny!
Haha thanks so much for the support!! I appreciate it sooo much.
love love love this song. Thank you for sharing!!!!!
Haha thanks so for your kind words. Take care!
Another fantastic performance !! Love it !!!
Thank you very much, Frans!
Simply spectacular! Thanks and happy christmas!
Thanks so much! Happy holidays to you and yours!
Exquisite sound! Delightful
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)
Sonny, Sonny, Sonny!!! Phenomenal!!!! It has been a while and THIS was well worth the wait. We really need to get together an expense plan and see what it would take and which venue may be interested in having you come play here in the Philadelphia area! If ever being paid to be somewhere else in the region, let me know and we could, perhaps, "piggy-back" off of that paid gig and dates!
Hahaha you won't stop till I come over, won't ya? :D
I'd love to come over and do some gigs man, but I'm afraid it just isn't possible right now (or in the near future). The costs would be extreme (since I'd need some fellow musicians to come along and what not). But I keep telling you as well: Get it together and I'm coming over :D.
hahaha! You are right on that one! I know there would obviously be a cost involved to do this, that is why, unlike in my other comments, I mentioned that we put together a real plan (i.e. how much it will cost to get you all here, how many gigs would you want to do, and how much compensation we would need from each gig to cover the trip, lodging, food, etc.) I think it may cost less than you think IF I can get sponsors in addition to some gigs. BUT, we need to figure out your costs and if we could still make enough so that you go home with more than you came here with, besides having all the expenses paid. I am certainly not promising anything, but am willing to do some work to see if it is possible, once i have a general monetary figure (in USD, of course) to work with.
No matter what...I loved the video and it was so worth the wait. Excellent work.
tsmja Thanks a lot for the compliment about the video. If you're really REALLY serious about your plan of having us over. I'm more than willing to discuss some figures in a PM or via email. So please do send me an email (sonnyvandeputte@gmail.com) and we'll see what we can do :). Take care
Very sweet! Congratz!!
+Nelson Joppi Thank you very much, Nelson!
This is an amazing arrangement. And even more amazing is the performance. Great job, Sonny!
Thank you so much, Julie! The arrangement most certainly is genius and I'm glad you enjoyed the performance too :). Thanks for stopping by!
Sonny, you are brilliant ... and this arrangement ... incredible !! Thx again + best wishes from Switzerland
Oh my, thank you very much! I absolutely agree that the arrangement is incredible. It's written by the great arranger Adam Scott! Take care in Switzerland :)
Bravo. Nice to see a new video.
I love your voice and singing 8-)
Thanks a lot, John!!
Mijn plezier ;)
Such a talked guy you are!!! More of The Police would be awesome 😃
+James Ashby I totally agree that it would be awesome to get some more Police songs in, but people have to order those songs for me to be able to record them. Unfortunately I can never really pick a song I like since I don't have the time to record personal favorites in between recordings for other people, performing live and the occasion rest for my voice :D. Thanks for the kind words, James!
+Sonny Vande Putte I think you've done an amazing job!! I love the ones you have done with Julien as well! Keep it up Sonny
+James Ashby Thanks again for a second dose of kind words :D. I love working with Julien, so we might do some more stuff in the future, who knows :). Thanks again, man!
Wow! Nice, and I didn't expect the post at the end!!
Glad you liked it you crazy cat lady!
Extraordinary!
Thank you very much, Neil. I'm glad you can appreciate it :)
Epic cover bud, love the song and its original performers too :)
I'm a big Police fan as well. So this was a lot of fun to do :). Thanks for the kind words!
Just beautiful! You have such an awesome vocal range! Nice job Sonny!
Thanks for the kind words, man! Good to read that you like my videos! Hope you'll like the ones that are still to come. I've got one planned for publishing in a few weeks :).
Mmm very nice, great mix,
Thanks a lot, David. I'm glad you can appreciate the mix as well :)
Underrated. That's it.
Is there any way that I can get the sheet music for this?
Sure man! I think you can send an email to the arranger and he'll be more than happy to sell you a copy. You can contact him through this address: ascott@barbershop.org.
If you'd like the learning tracks to match those sheets, you can contact me at sonnyvandeputte@gmail.com.
Take care
Mooi ! En bovendien visueel tiptop en heel leuk om te zien, dat mag ook wel eens gezegd worden.
Dat mag zeker, Leo! Bedankt voor de comment!
Bravo. Nice to see a new video.
Excellent execution, Sonny!
Thanks a lot, man!
Spot on !
Ray Irmal Thank you very much, Ray!
Geweldig gewoon! Het bracht een glimlach op m'n gezicht :)
Bedankt! Blij dat het je heeft kunnen entertainen :)
Admitting ignorance: until your amazing adaptation, I was unfamiliar with this song -- and now ONLY your version will sound "right." The emotions which your expressions convey delight the eye as much as your music delights the ear.
Now there's a beautiful comment to start the day with :). Thanks you so much. I really do try to make these videos as entertaining as possible :). By the way, one can never know to much Police classics :D. Thanks for stopping by!
love it!
Thanks a lot, Eduardo!
amazing like always
Thanks a lot, man :). I'm glad you liked it!
ha yes very inspirational, I finish work in a couple of months and looking forward to having a go at this, I am sure it wont be up to your standard but I will enjoy the journey :)
My first video didn't look like this neither, David. No shame in that. You learn by doing :). (and a little by copying the guys who've been doing it way longer than you have ;)).
Its great that we can use technology these days to produce things like this, for sure i intend to look and learn but can i keep my promise not to auto tune ? i hope so
I enjoyed this video a lot. Seems to make good use of your incredible range. You seem like a naturally great lead voice, but you have pleasantly surprised me with your bass voice too. This must have been a tough one for you to put together, mostly because of the tough timing and syncopation. Great job :)
So cool and it was impressive!!
I love your songs :)
Thanks a lot!! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for stopping by :)
Very nice!
FIRST! Thank you very much, Ryan :)
Great job!
Thanks!!
that's just plain good. sittin' here grinning... thanks!
Haha I'm glad you are Don. I know exactly how you feel. I was just listening to a piece of music myself, sitting behind my computer with a smile on my face :D. That's what good music does to you :)
You da man Sonny! :) Good seeing you active again buddy. Now it's time for our next epic collab ;)
Haha thanks a lot, Rhett! I'd love to get started on that epic collab, but I'll need a lot of time for that one :D. I'll keep you posted :). Thanks for stopping by!
I love your voice and singing 8-)
Thanks Christomir! I'm glad you haven't grown tired of me yet ;)
Super!!
Bedankt, Tanja!
Well done!
So happy now. =)
Me too :)
I miss your voice Sonny!
Well you can replay my videos as much as you like :D. Hope that helps ;). Thanks for stopping by Timothy!
Super!!!!!
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it :)
I'm sorry, I'm totally spamming this comment section, but I just noticed something I never did before. At the bridge (1:41), the baritone does a soft little low-high-low pattern on "oo-oo-oo" that adds so much to the accompaniment. On some level I must have been aware of it but I never isolated it before. So I had to go back and watch the whole video, keeping my eyes and ears on just Baritone Sonny. On this recording, he's the French horn. Beautiful.
(Someday I'm going to have to name the four of you. This "Tenor Sonny" and "Bass Sonny" stuff is getting clumsy. Any ideas?)
Hahahaha no idea :). I'd rather not look for names for my own 'alter egos'. They might start yearning for an actual life with a wife and a house. You never know 🤣
I just want to hop in a convertible and cruise the freeway 💕
When I read the comment I was double checking if you commented on Every little thing or Fun, fun, fun :D. Thanks for stopping by (convertible or not :)).
I just liked your Facebook page, I seen a post saying "With sadness in our hearts we regret to say that Sonny Vande Putte, our lead, has decided to leave our quartet.
The future is unknown..."
So are you back now?? I hope so!!
Ah I see what happend here :). I quit the mixed quartet 4ONCE, so I could start singing with Maelstrom (a male barbershop quartet). So I just left 4ONCE, I was never gone :D. I'll be sure to post some stuff by Maelstrom as well, once we get a set together!
Is it possible to get sheet music for this??? My a cappella group really wants to sing this.
Hi Simon! You can purchase the sheets right here: shop.barbershop.org/every-little-thing-she-does-is-magic-ttbb-arr-scott/
If you're looking for the learning tracks, you can find them right here: www.sgtsonnytracks.com
Good luck with it!
Did you hit an Eb2 at 2:24? Nice :D
+Alexander Frank I would never be able to do that on stage though :D. It's just about finding the right time after a heavy night of singing and little sleep. Otherwise, there's no way I can hit that Eb!! :)
+Sonny Vande Putte Lol I am the same way, I am no bass either (although I would like to be). I have a busy life just like you. That moment when you first wake up and can sing low notes feels nice. But after a while as you progress throughout your day, your voice gets pushed up, diminishing your ability to sing bass but giving you a better lead or tenor voice in return. Your lead voice is amazing, and I also feel most comfortable (as far as vocal range goes) with the lead part like you as someone with a baritone voice. But my school acapella group needs a bass and I am the only guy willing to push my range down to sing bass. I also considered beatboxing. There are too many tenors. Although I love both acapella and barbershop equally, the SATB classification is too binary for the male roles (high or low) and is tough on baris who may have to either fake it or force their range up or down. I love the TLBB classification though, it is nice to see what you can do with just four voices.
+Alexander Frank You're absolutely right. I'm not a big fan of the TB in the SATB either. But singing bass as a tenor is not a great idea either. Of course you're in an unfortunate situation, so keep getting better :). Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
+Sonny Vande Putte Thank you for wishing me well. I think you have brought me good luck by doing so. My lower limit of my comfortable range seems to have gone from F#2 to E2 :) after singing bass in acapella for a couple of months :)
+Alexander Frank E2 is already pretty impressive for a tenor :). Good job!
How to you have incredible range?
I'll let you know my secret of how I got to be the singer I am today. You won't like it, but there's no simple trick or fix. Practice every single day, research on how to sing healthy and how to get the things you'd like to learn down. Experiment, record yourself, evaluate and adjust. Repeat all of this as much as possible!! It's the only way. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks well this is my first year in Choir at my high school and I got invited to honors choir and I practice everyday. You and Eric Whitacre (composer) are my motivation to sing this type of music
Matthew Nickelsen Cool to know I can be an inspiration man :). Congrats on the invite to the honors choir. Keep it up!
Sonny Vande Putte thanks
is it possible to get sheet music for this or no? my quarter would surely love to do this!
It sure is. You can send an email to the arranger Adam Scott: musicscotty@gmail.com. He'll be happy to help you out. If you'd also like the learning tracks, just send me an email (sonnyvandeputte@gmail.com). Thanks for stopping by
+Sonny Vande Putte thank you for the response, my quartet loves your work!
I'm so pleased to read that. Thanks, man! I see that you were able to reach Adam. Good luck with this amazing piece :)
Bass Sonny was having way too much fun being a drum.
Have you ever done that? It IS a lot of fun :)
Sonny Vande Putte
Never done rock-cappella. I have done vocal percussion and instrumentation in other styles, but those aren't too fun.
Noah Weisbrod I was actually kidding. This may sound weird, but I actually don't like a cappella music. I absolutely adore barbershop music, but as soon as people start imitating instruments I'm out :)
Is there any sheet music for this arrangement?
There sure is! You can purchase the sheets through this link: shop.barbershop.org/every-little-thing-she-does-is-magic-ttbb-arr-scott/
If you'd like some learning tracks to go with it, you can visit my website: sgtsonnytracks.com
The best with it!
Amazing. I like this song! You should do "every breath you take"!Is that the "Police" logo in the background? :)
It's actually the cover art of the Synchronicity album in the background. Thanks for stopping by!
Do you think you'll continue to do collabs with Julien, Dan, or Rhett? Do they still make videos? I know Dan is done, but I dunno about the others.
+Alexander Frank Julien is still very active and Rhett still records tracks, but doesn't post any videos anymore. At least not in the last couple of months. I'm always up for a collab with Julien though. So I'm sure we'll work together in the future :). He's a great guy!
That was some kickass singing nigga
+Jayro Boy Thank you very much!
How big is your range?? Like seriously, it’s like you can go from below the bass line to above the treble, sometimes without going into falsetto, you’re insanely talented
In all seriousness size really doesn't matter. It really is what you do with that. I have about the same range as Freddie Mercury had, which is only about 3,5 octaves. That isn't very significant compared to people like Axl Rose, Mariah Carey and Prince, but Freddie is considered to be one of the best vocalists in pop history. Not because he had a big range, but because he was an excellent singer and made every note count! Now I'm not comparing myself to Freddie, but I'm just saying that size really doesn't matter. As long as you're very skillful with the range you have. Now let's get down to number :). I sing from about an F2 up to a C6.
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving some kind words for me :D.
Not to make fun of ya, and you’re completely right, I still do think you’re talented with singing in general, but you’re “size doesn’t matter” thing immediately made me think of penis size, I’m sorry, but for some reason that was the first thing that came to mind
Haha that was kinda the underlying joke of that :). So you don't just have a dirty mind. I set you up :).
p.s. you just gained a subscriber :)
Do Penny Lane by the Bealtes!
That's a great suggestion. However, I cannot take any requests right now and when I do get the time I take the requests from my patrons on Patreon.com/sgtsonny first of course. Thanks for stopping by!
You forgot about the coda - the most important part of this song. Thumbs down
