Nice video! I’m glad that 570 is still active as of now knowing it’s the only active B40-8 on all Class I Railroads since other ones are either active on Class IIs like the Pan Am has a few of the Ex CSX B40-8s! It’s still nice to see BNSF still has one left in active service
Not really.... Same 182 day maintenance cycle as modern power. These older 7FDL 16 cylinders are actually more reliable and cheaper to run than the newer 7FDL 12 cylinder variants lol.
BNSF 563 (B40-8) and BNSF 568 (B40-8W) have been running between Portland, Oregon and Bellingham, Washington. Sometimes, they run as a pair! Albany and Eastern Railroad (AERC) in Lebanon, Oregon run several ex SP B40-8's, several ex UP C40-8's, and several ex CSXT B40-8's.
Great video.
Thank you!!!
Nice I love Dash 8s including the Amtrak version along with the Pepsi Can scheme
So cool

Is 570 still active as of now?
Unfortunately, no
@UnionPacific Omaha I figured, as BNSF got rid of all their standard cab dash 8s.
Is 570 Still Active?
Unfortunately not, no longer in Lincoln either
