i dont know.... merzbow has some good rhytmic stuff but some off it sucks tbh. generally, when he goes for the more classic harsh noise stuff its better, but this song fucking slaps yeah
The 13 japanese birds albums, but thats more like just drumming over harsh noise rather than rhythmic stuff, and some of it is ass while other parts of them are good.
early in the morning, under the grass, this track can cause a huge surge of realy positive emotions! Fuck mainstream and pop music, the noise - the basis of human activity. Japan begin with Merzbow!) From Russia with love and respect)
I can see why there are many who appreciate this artist... I can't quite bring myself to go 'full Merzbow' but I must say, I'm quite enjoying this Merzbeat. :)
While tripping to this track, I had and OOBE in which I was at a live performance, sitting lotus and vibing, sweaty and wide eyed. About 9 minutes in, I stood up, tore my left arm out of its socket, and proceeded to play it like a guitar. Laughing and bleeding. I have chosen to see this as a vision of my potential future. I have decided I will not try to stop this from happening
I like it because I can't trace any pattern, and I hear some tunes anyway in the background. For an artist, writer, or someone doing homework even, this kind of music is useful so that they can block out background noise, and not focus on any one thing in the song they're listening to.
In anycase IMO the best track in this album is surely the third one, the transitions are just amazing and more fluently done than in this track and above all, its instrumental use is very very neat and diverse.
I love the usual drones of Masami's music, but this is amazing and on another level than his others. Only album I can think of by him resembling this is Merzbuddha, but that's stretching it.
I know the fans of his harsh noise can't stand this record, but I always thought it was pretty hypnotizing with the repetitive rhythms. Fans of this need to check out the lesser known Senmaida.
That's not respecting others tastes, commenting like that, Educate yourself before you comment about something, This is "actual music", it might be experimental and different from the mainstream but that doesn't mean it's not music.
Why do people keep saying merzbow isnt music. I get that it doesnt follow the rules, but you should try getting into japanoise, its really soothing for falling asleep and some of his songs like ulttramarine blues are energetic.
I understand why you don't get it, but I think people would hate you and your comment a little less if it were something like this: I'm sorry, but this is weird. Not trying to be mean or anything, but what's the appeal?
It has potential to be interesting, but took too long. What lasted 13 minutes could have been made more interesting by condensing it to, say, 5. Having only one change every minute or so makes the song drag out, and what should feel new just feels the same. Implementing major changes to the beat and melody at once would have created new and interesting sections within the song--Deerhoof's The Merry Barracks comes to mind.
Hey, uh, this is going to sound really awkward, but I'm sorry for how rude and stereotypical my reply was. I was rather drunk at the time. All I'm saying is, I think I'm entitled to express my opinion about things. Just because it's criticism doesn't mean it's me coaching someone. I think the song was good, but was made worse by stretching it out over an unnecessarily long period of time. That's all. And I am rather offended that you judged the entirety of my character by a RUclips comment.
everyone who says "merzbow should make more almost normal sounding tracks like this" is a COWARD but this does slap
true but.... THOSE BEATS..... THE PHASER EFFECT...
this is my type of distortion

@@Unit_00 its been a year, I've listened to quite a bit of his music but you see im a lil rarted
That's illegal
The genre is called "rhythmic noise" for a reason.
thats music
This perfectly conveys the feeling of breaking an arm or leg while skating
I feel like Merzbow should do more of this type of rhythmic noise stuff -- if he wants to.
i dont know.... merzbow has some good rhytmic stuff but some off it sucks tbh. generally, when he goes for the more classic harsh noise stuff its better, but this song fucking slaps yeah

Listening to Merzbow is a great way to lengthen your patience
Merzbow : Happy Edition

Noise music? Sounding like noise? My god, this is the discovery of a lifetime! Someone give this troll a medal!
6:30 - 10:00 is like my favorite part of the whole album
the guitar riff is so groovy
It has a certain rhythm to it... almost two separate rhythms coming close to being one... it's very interesting.
you ever heard steve reich?

I don't like something, therefore nobody else should like it!

Once beyond an event horizon this plays
There is no such thing as "Actual music". Music is organized sound
A guy banging a rock against a bowl wouldn't really be considered actual music
@@daved6536 but to a guy high off bathsalts, it probably sounds just as good as anything else haha
this and promotion man were in my top5 most listened this year
The noisy psychedelic atmosphere combined with the heard hitting breakbeat is pure ear-candy
my favorite, of all the Merzbow songs
The internet is amazing
M E R Z B E A T !
Why am I enjoying this? O_O
cause it's good
In anycase IMO the best track in this album is surely the third one, the transitions are just amazing and more fluently done than in this track and above all, its instrumental use is very very neat and diverse.

You are forgetting Meteora. A Thousand Suns is an incredible album with a pure art inside. Beautiful.
personal favorite
I want to fall in love with dis
Merzbow's Rainbow years.
do you wanna compare Linkin Park with Merzbow? are you serious?
I know the fans of his harsh noise can't stand this record, but I always thought it was pretty hypnotizing with the repetitive rhythms. Fans of this need to check out the lesser known Senmaida.
badass
love the sound
I like this with headphones
same
Why in the holy mashmush are we arguing about nu-metal on a noise-hop video?
Love it.
Merzbow is my god
Never got Noise before this track, nice.
Hope you're doing good man
That's your opinion :) I love LP.
babciu, to jest zajebiste!
I kinda like it

Omg, so awesome!
I would like to see merzbow try his own version of distrocore, we'd end up with something never before heard in music.
second vid of merzbow ive seen. first was a lil too much but this is actually pretty kool
Why do people keep saying merzbow isnt music. I get that it doesnt follow the rules, but you should try getting into japanoise, its really soothing for falling asleep and some of his songs like ulttramarine blues are energetic.
Linkin Park is an excellent band. I know this is "noise music", but i'm kinda liking it.
this is merzbow?
3:05 is sick
I don't much like this album but it is one of the ones I can actually play while driving.
this is his most rhythmic album.
"hey guys I think I fixed the issue on my mixer :)"
When you give the redbull wings
loved
I understand why you don't get it, but I think people would hate you and your comment a little less if it were something like this:
I'm sorry, but this is weird. Not trying to be mean or anything, but what's the appeal?
this is kinda cool
@MrMuddyBleach it's still noise. Everything is distorted as hell, not to mention the instruments being out of pace.
This shit is so amazing
@Elferien "Proper Merzbow" is SOUND in and of itself. There is no right or wrong with Masami.
How would you dance it?
Based
Which album is this from? I think I may have to get it, as all of the tracks I've heard from it so far sound wonderful!
Hey I know it's been 12 years but this is Merzbeat. Tell me if you're still alive I'm just curious.
Am I the only one who listened this all the way through?
Nope :)
yeah
this track is hilarious
My cat likes this music.
groovy
Nah, but it all comes down to opinion, we have ours, you have yours. Just continue on with your day.
Interesting
Fairly well.

please don't discus sub-human music on a merzbow video. it's just not appropriate
2deep4u, rite guise?
Lol, funny fact, my cat doesn't she runs out of the room when i play Merzbow

What album is this off of?
Merzbow's 2002 album, Merzbeat.
Merzbeat
Wait I thought Merzbow was pure noise? I'm confused. I like this but I thought he had no tonal structure to things.
I do, but in small(ish) doses.
Bro, I'm so fucking high right now.
me too
how's the 8th grade treating you?
Not by a long shot.
