Totally understand the E60 M5 pain. Risky car to own, but a great car for content. I've almost had every major component of my M5 fail and I'm sure there is more to come. That said, when it runs, it's probably one of the most enjoyable cars to own. The sound, how aggresive the SMG shifts, and the iconic look almost makes it worth the headache. I've never smiled so much with any other car, and I've own many. All the best brother!
Hey man I had one back in 06 drove it for 50k miles in a year and a half it was the best time of my life! I'm sorry you are only experiencing the difficulties of this engine. You would have loved it even more!! Mine had an Eisenmann cat back race exhaust sounded insane kept the resonators otherwise it's too much. mine 100% got 10 mpg. back in 06 fuel prices.
I appreciate your honest assessment of these cars and of your time. Really appreciate your help over the years. My sons and I have owned maybe 10 BMW's and have used your content for sure. I do think there still is a huge following for 90's BMW and early 2000's.They are just so available in a price point that a young person can buy one and if they are smart can maintain for a reasonable amount. (if they do the work themselves!) Thank you!
Your videos are always interesting. Personally I'd like to see some BMW's from the 80's or 90's get restored. Particularly the E36 and E39. Hope to see more videos whichever way you decide to go with the channel.
Hey Nathan. I bought an '06 M5 after watching your red M5 rebuild. I even reached out to inquire about buying it a few years ago. I picked up my car for 12K, 100K on the clock, did All The Things just like you did, and I'm about to start posting content on my own channel. I credit you for inspiring me to work on my car. I'm into it for over twice what I paid for it, which is what I expected, applying the old Ferrari adage "if you can afford two, you can buy one." The car's been tremendously enjoyable, I'm past the POWERRRR phase and simply enjoy the V10 noises. Porsches do not interest me so I haven't been looking at that content. But there's only so much to do with these cars, about the only thing I've done that I don't think you have is the popular CIC swap and update with ICOM. In the next day or so the install for Infinity Design's full CSL clone + AlphaN induction system will go live. Everyone puts exhausts on these cars and the real treat is the induction sound, which is what ID's kit teases out of the sedate sounding S85. You're right about the money aspect, especially on YT. Lots of people who can't afford to own these cars buy them. My YT channel is a side business tax write-off for my work in tech. As others have suggested, perhaps it's time to move onto other BMW models. I own an X5 with a B58 now for example, and your channel will be the first place I look when I need to know something about it. I watched hours of your content on N52 cars when I owned a couple of those. Either way I wish you luck and thank you for your contribution to the BMW community.
Customer cars is the way to go. You make money on both ends. As you said not many people know how to work on these cars and the ones that do get all the business.
Man Nathan I'll seriously miss your BMW content. I've been subscribed for many years and learned so much from you. Honest opinion: I have no clue what you should do with the channel. You've pretty much covered all the old stuff. I unfortunately can't afford to get into the Porsche world but I'll still check out all your vids. Maybe go back older? Like late 80s or early 90s stuff. I'd totally watch that. But honestly you do whatever you need to do to pay the bills. Love ya man 👊
Two thoughts, both outside the dots. 1) offer virtual mechanic services. You be the expert eyes and the DIYer be the hands. Then, record and post an edited exchanges between you and the wrencher as you diagnose and fix the problem. 2) offer whole system reviews like braking, cooling, etc. These cars are so complex and everything is so interrelated that understanding all of the pieces and how they interact could be more valuable than here is the component I replaced and here is how to get to it. Just food for thought.
I like your insight into BMW repair. Any way that works for you to keep sharing knowledge is cool to me. Proper procedures for big jobs is always cool to watch.
First - you need to have a passion for BMWs. If you do, you make outstanding content that we can all tell you believe in. I’d like to see work on some of the older BMW’s, some roadsters, some tricked out M’s with exhaust enhancements. horsepower boosts etc. if you can’t muster the passion for the brand, I’d focus on Porsche or Maserati’s or Ferrari’s or any brand that personally lights your fire. Nathan at his best is when Nathan is excited by a brand like a 16 year old kid. You can’t fake that. You’re the best auto guy on youtube. Keep on trucking man!
I own a 2007 m5 and I love it good and bad I will fix it and fix it simply because I love it I truly appreciate all of your wisdom and hope you can continue to entertain and educate me on a vehicle that I love!!!
Nathan, you’ve helped me tremendously with my E39. I think you should do what’s best for you. Your time is valuable and you deserve to spend it wisely.
Like many others whom have already commented, i have loved your videos on the late 90's and early 2000 BMW's, specificlly the E39. I think there is a good following of these cars, E46, E39 in particular, and there are many more topics you could cover. Trans servicing and repairs is one that comes to mind,. Add to that upgrades like manual conversions, or ZF8HP convertions would be great video content. Coding and adaptions are things that could also be covered. Cluster pixel repairs, upgrades to E53 4.6is or 4.8is clusters could also be covered. Then you come to content like upgrades. This could cover anything from forced induction options, to suspension and handling upgrades. Interior upgrades could also be a fertile area for improvements (heated and ventilated seat upgrades, to media head units, interface options and sound systems). For your Porsche channel, i would just start a different channel, as I suspect very few BMW fans would also be looking for stuff on how to fix a 911. What ever you decide, thank you for all your years of valuable content, and good luck with the future.
first off wanna say thanks for all content and knowledge you've shared over years. I appreciate effort you've put in and you deserve to be able to find way to monetize your work more. I echo some of the others who mentioned going back to older BMW may be where opportunities for more lucrative content exists.... 90's and early 2000's BMW and Porsches , although even there some have started to become collectible and appreciate in value. But at least with those generations parts are cheaper and cars are lot more self service friendly. Less modules, less complexitity, less coding etc. Either way love channels and hope u find a way forward enjoy channel and appreciate and respect you as a person Nathan! 😎👍
But not everyone is a fan of F1 and most don’t have that passion for F1 including me and Nathan. I would rather have a track car then a car that only sounds like something it is not and will not be And that’s what the E60 M5 is. We’re 35 and 45 not 75
@@BMWDoctor you're absolutely right For me though, I am that passionate about F1. I love the thought of having basically a super car for sub $30k that sounds like that. Maybe not a daily commuter but I love them
I found you channel back in 2015 due to your e39 540i content. I say take customer cars and cars that you can make some money on. Screw all the cool m cars. The m cars are nice but very few people afford or have them. The e39's, e46's, and other non m cars brought in more views because the average person can own one and needs/wants information on fixing and owning them. Obviously if you're tired of that kind of content and cars because it's what you been doing since 2015, I'd say focus on the Porsche. I can't afford even a used Porsche yet but I still watch the content. Best of luck!
I really enjoy watching your channel. In particular any s85/m5/m6 content.. though the car doesn’t make much sense financially, it’s still an awesome car. I’d like to see more content on the e series platform. Generally fixing up old cars and grown the channel/following that way. M539 channel seems to have done well this way. I really enjoy watching your content!! Keep it going
i think returning back to the source aka e39/e46 stuff would be great, but with some fun on top of it aka some insane build (supercharged e39, turbo e46) swaps and so on, also convering deferent car brand wouldn't be an issue :)
I love these cars. Unfortunately you really need a lift to work on these efficiently. I would like to see you continue to produce content as these are beautiful cars.
Nice to see you back Nathan. Good to hear your honest assessment of cars, surely that won't stop with just BMW's. I have been committed to BMW and M cars since JR. High School (beginning late 60's) and your expertise is second to none so I will miss your content if you move on to greener pastures, but you have to do what is best for you and your channel. I will continue to hold onto my 2008 E60, M5, 6 spd. manual with 15,000 on the clock even with its flaws/sudden failures and I have used your channel to help me through some repair issues/suggestions even when I have to resort to taking it to my local BMW dealership. They don't treat me badly, they have known me well for years, but yes I do pay for it. LOL. I know you will make the right choice. Don't compromise on the integrity of your work, it's rare to find that quality today.
Thank you for alm your content and expert information on s85. I would like the Idea of uploading customers bmw cars. I'm doing a s85 swap on my e46 m3 now thanks to you.
What’s so funny? Nathan did listen to me as if it wasn’t for me he would of spent money repairing this heap of crap. Luckily he’s investing the money from this for his 997 turbo. I convinced him same way he listened to me about the G wagon Oh and regarding the 2 987’s he bought.
@@BMWDoctor I enjoy your channel, but I remember years ago coming across a video where you said the E60 M5 and S85 are misunderstood and that you would be the defender of that car. Seems like time has provided you a change of heart? I ask as an E60 M5 owner.
@@MrXerxes it’s true don’t get me wrong the E60 M5 is a incredible car and I have a passion for the E60 you already know that. That’s why the E60 M5 served my channel very well but it’s not I didn’t like the car it it was purely, it didn’t serve the purpose or everything I wanted where as Porsche does for me I ain’t knocking the E60 I’m lucky and fortunate to have two overhauled Porsches where most people would give a arm and a leg to have one Porsche. But overall since owning Porsches and driving them bmw for me just didn’t feel the same. If you remember I had both together and I drove my Porsche more then the M5 it’s lighter , faster just a much more fun car to drive everyday as for fuel costs I don’t know what everyone is going on about I used to drive my M5 280 miles every month with no issue only using one full tank driving responsibly. But as I said the E60 M5 is a great car just not what I need anymore my kids are all old enough and drive themseleves so I really have no need for 5Dr cars anymore and I must be honest when I had the M5 I shoved that outside to have the Porsche inside and it wasn’t right which that showed straight away to me what I cared for more. But that M5 is in a good home with a great guy who stays in contact with me on a regular and it will be back on my channel soon as it’s needing a service which he’s bringing it to me.
@@BMWDoctor Understood, cannot argue with your reasoning there! I had a 996 Turbo years ago and greatly regret selling it. At the time I thought I would replace it down the line with a 997 Turbo but they have all gone up so much in price I find myself 911 Turboless. Regardless, I look forward to mroe content from you whether BMW or Porsche. Cheers!
I do think older bmw’s are more interesting to enthusiasts, of course porsch content is good, but most diy minded people would never jump into the newer bmws as they would just cost too much to own. Thanks for the great videos!
Nate, I think we all agree, E39 E46 content would be much appreciated! Personally I’m trying to work on more complex things on my e46 (tranny rebuild), maybe those types of vids?
At the end of the day you personally have to like what you’re working on. If you like it then we will like it. That kinda thing kinda rubs off on viewers.
I would set up a poll page asking what viewers want to see and go with the highest answers. I feel that most of the giant creators are big because they have variety. Watchjrgo, rich rebuilds, and Tavarish all work on different brands and types of cars. You already have the mechanical aspect nailed.
I have E60 M5 with codes 002B35 DME: Misfire with cutoff cyl. 1 002B42 DME: Misfire impairing exhaust emission. cyl. 1 I already replaced 10 ignition coils, 10 spark plugs, x2 Fuel tank breather valves, x4 PCV valves, x4 o2 sensors, I replaced 1 fuel injector, fuel pump and fuel filter. And still I get cyl.1 misfire code Do I need to replace camshaft sensor? crankshaft sensor? Something else? Thanks
Nice to see your back uploading content. I would like to see more diagnostic content especially with the BMW ICOM next. Nobody seems to be doing that in the BMW community.
I wonder if repairing the crank or replacing it would be a viable option, I mean for an individual. I'd love see people keep these cars alive. That said, I really miss the E39 content, you have some of the best videos, well you, M539restorations, and BMWDoctor, on E39 content in my opinion. There are others with great content, they are a bit more budget, corner cutting, minded. I wish there were channels like you guys for Benz, namely the W212, I'll get another E39, the Benz the wife likes for trips, I don't like anything new, and Porsche is way outa my league. But understand what you're saying, gotta be financially responsible.
I really think the older stuff (e39, maybe stuff from the early 90s or late 80s) are interesting. They are within reach of most viewers, and I think a lot of people want to learn how to fix their own cars that they can actually afford to buy (not the M series cars). Just my $0.02.
That a tough one. Maybe make it a general car channel? Fixing broke stuff and making a few $ is always interesting. I'll watch the vids either way... oh, how about if people need work, have em on the channel, teach em how to fix what's broken?
Probably open the channel up to more customer cars as you mentioned. Also, might be the time to start looking at the 8-Series (old and new generation). The E31 and G14. Not too many channels looking into the 8-Series.
With all the parts it seems made in China and the quality sucks the big one what do you do or who do you trust?? Cost for most things have become too expensive or impossible to source at decent prices. I have liked almost everything you have worked on, so it is redundant to do the same cars over and over! You channel has save me hundreds if not thousands in repair cost over the last few years! Do what you feel is the best for you! The economy and the political situation is falling apart and the future does not look good! Nathan you have or had a great passion for those cars, sometimes a passion fades, “been there, done that” syndrome wares you down mentally and physically as too what can actually inspire in you and you soul to continue!!! Either way Nathan you exceeded most of our expectations beyond approach! Good luck in your endeavors, your RUN has not expired yet!!!
Nice M5 I would not have thought that hydraulic pump is that pricey from the dealer? Wow! But then again BMW, yeah interesting situation I have 13 M5 4.4L twin turbo no issues but it’s not practical anymore and gets 12mpg.. I just drive it now to use it periodically.. I would like you to keep the channel going for general mechanics, doesn’t necessarily have to be BMW work you can certainly show great detail in your posts given a lift and a great shop.. good luck with the parting out, I just recently found your channel and it’s great, hope you continue
you could do an m54 model cars restore channel, review products like sealers, waxes, or pick 3 models of cars and do complete restores that take 10 or more episodes.
It all depends on access to parts at reasonable prices. In Finland they are worth a fortune still. US models are great with the manual gearbox but I tend to fix loads with SMG problems. For me as soon as you open the throttle the noise of that V10 makes it worth the while 😅 Thats a 40,000 Euro car in Finland with such low km. Pumps can be rebored, sleeved, rebuilt and often are it depends who you know and who can machine / fabricate these inner components, Good points and I agree with you. I always tell people - buy an M5 if you have loads of money otherwise they will drain your bank account faster than a scammer 😂 Great video.
I have been watching your channel for many years. Your videos, especially the long ones, are the only ones on youtube that I will watch to the end. I wished you would do some n55 and some f10 videos. I would appreciate a video for replacing the pan gasket on an Xdrive f10. Unfortunately, I do not have interest in a porsche channel.
Don't stop working on BMW cars, maybe work only on M cars. I really like seeing good info and nice shots on M cars, up until the E90 period let's say. Greetings from Greece.
Your channel helped me fix (and get through DEQ) my 2003 BMW 525i, the car has been good (I have put 60k miles on it). It is fun to drive, comfortable and economical...maybe you could do a series of that generation of cars (I know you did one 525i), but what about the others including the 7 series of that generation ? I would watch :)
Been here since 2017ish. I think you should have rebranded to Nathan’s Euro Workshop or something like that. No reason to totally ditch BMWs..you know so much and could keep doing customer cars and flippers along the way
theyve doubled in price practically since 2017, that was a good enough reason for me to fix mine. I have two spare engines if youre interested. One of them blew due to rod bearings other due to low pressure from leaking internal oil supply line.
We are here for the e60 m5 content, so that would be a game changer for us if they were gone. I have a 2008 which we thought was amazingly maintained, but alas it decided to spin a bearing. Currently waiting on the car back after a full rebuild. A great vehicle to own when it's working, but also a complete nightmare. 😮😢😂
Nate Please do a N54 powered BMW with mods and tune they are very fun to work on and drive. Excellent content I will miss this channel if you decide to do something else
Well I'm with most of the comments here as far as the older bmw stuff goes but from a money standpoint and viewership (more views per video) the turbo inline 6 repair customer car stuff may boost interest
Selam. BMW X5 e53 code 2003 model 4.4i kullanıyorum. Özellikle aracımın motoru sıcakken Aracımı D ye alırken one atılma, isteksizlik ve dururken 5 kilometre civarı öne atlama yapıyor . Lütfen cevap verirmisiniz?
Everyone wants the manual transmission E60 M5's if they have had the rod bearings and throttle actuators done and all the suspension updated. Similar with E9x M3 manual cars. I believe you will get the viewership doing the right M cars. And you will make some coin at sell time. Don't ditch the BMW channel.
I have to agree with some people here. I like e39/e46 content the most. I personally would like to see content on newer bmw’s. I am looking into getting something newer for everyday driving. Some suv in range of 2011 - 2018 model years but it is harder to gauge reliability, because I haven’t found a place with all the info in one spot. Some channels post it sparsely and it takes an effort to make a decision based on 5-10 different people opinions. Ps. Nathan don’t mind my non-English account. I know it is harder to read Slavic alphabet for English speakers but at this point I’m not switching to another one if I don’t have to. Also every now and then I hear somewhat negative connotations towards people from different backgrounds and I hope it is just bad phrasing and you mean well. Just my 2 cents.
Tough to say. You do what pays your bills. I've enjoyed your channel as a resource for sure. As a certified BMW masochist who at owns at least 5 of these Bavarian money pits at any given time, your channel has always been a blessing. But auto repair videos don't do well on RUclips (with a few exceptions). Attention spans are too short and ppl want stories/entertainment. Which I get, but yeah, is what it is. I could watch a guy rebuild a BMW engine for 2 hours after working on my cars all day and be perfectly happy. But I'm in the minority. Have been wondering why you've posted less and now I know. Good luck to you on whatever you do end up doing with this channel and in the future in general. As to losing money on the cars, I haven't had that experience with most of my Bimmers, but you price your stuff lower than I do. After working at an indy shop, I factor repair costs into the car and often price well above "market" value. A buyer eventually comes along who understands you either pay a little more now or a lot more later. Does mean they sell slower though. Anyway, this post is a book, good luck again for the future.
algorithms have not suggested your videos in a long time now. I will have to go back and catch up, but what happened to the 2002 or 1600 ( I don't recall which it was )? I'm an E28 guy myself, but I'm guessing that's just for us older folks and wouldn't get much revenue. Shop looks great!
Nathan, there are a TON of your longtime viewers that are N63 and S63 owners. You’d have people lined up to pay you to replace longblocks all day in these cars. Definitely film customer cars and take them one by one.
Hi Nathan, I tend to agree with the other comments - the older BMWs seem to be where its at -i.e. pre 2010. There is still a big following as seen by M539's channel - as most of these can still be worked on without a degree in diagnostics & without top-end scanners. Would be a shame for all your valuable experience to go to waste but I do understand motivation may be tough - you've been there and done it all. How about current & future classics - e.g. e39 M5 & e46 M3? though I doubt Streten is making money on those. It's a toughie!! what have been BMW's biggest selling cars in recent years? perhaps we're past peak BMW?
Just found ur channel love it, u have the subs, if you wanna get paid from RUclips buy cool cars m5 540s etc… do cool stuff with them you’ll get views and make $$$$$
If buying old BMW's (e28, e38, e39, e46 etc) and fixing them up and selling them is no longer worth the effort, even with the videos, what to do indeed. Your idea of fixing customer cars, then filming and uploading a video is a pretty good one. That might pay better. Another option, maybe diversify this channel to other vehicles and not exclusively BMW. Maybe normal cars? Dodge trucks, Chevy cars? Or exclusively German cars? Old VW Beetles, and Mercedes? Not sure what the market is on normal cars vs German cars or if fixing and selling them is worth it compared to fixing and filming customer cars.
I get 19.2 mpg on the interstate at 70-80 mph in my 2007 m6 e64. Other than that, an internal combustion engine (aircraft rule of thumb) is .4 lbs/hp/hr. At full power, you would have 507 hp x.4 #/hr ÷ 6#/gal = 33.8 gallons per hour. At 200 mph, you would get 5.92 mpg.😂
I would love to see you keep fixing BMWs but truly if we are keeping it real. This is a buisness and if fixing BMWs isn't good buisness you should move on. I learned from you and several other real mechanics who know BMWs how to fix mine. So having that information if you move on to another channel/vehicle I'll follow. I enjoy you and the content you put out. No matter the make or model. Keep posting.b
Audi is similar to bmw I got rid of my 06 M5 for an 15 AUDI A6 3.0t qauttro and there's a huge market for tuning and repairs! I know BMW and AUDI guys are rivals but you could tap both markets! Just a thought
As far as content for the channel. That is really tough. I went all the way back to an e36 trying to simplify my life lol and that new to me neglected shitbox has not been treating me good yet lol. Can you make some content on how to read error codes on OBD 1 e36's ? My car won't clear the code with the stomp test method.
It is super hard to tell what to do with a channel man... Everyone wants something interesting, but also Reviewing different BMW's and theyre realiability would be nice. Lets say you get something like E92 with n54 engine or n55 engine and review the car from technical perspective. Something like this would be very interesting to me personally. You can also review F30 328i vs 330i and things like that or any other car you have opportunity to review.
If you cut the channel you will definitely be missed and there will be a lot of parked BMW. I learned the ends and outs of an E46 from watching you channel. Thanks a lot, please know I will always possess an E46 and do the repairs myself.
I think you should move to F series Bmw’s on this channel, E series’s in my opinion is to old and has run its course on many other BMW channels on You Tube … F series is is new enough but also getting old enough to be affordable to many people … I think getting a F10 or F30 or any F series will bring more views .. but it’s just my opinion … hope you consider it …
This isn’t about views though. This is about future sale we don’t intend to keep all these BMWs we fix them to sell them on otherwise we would all be full of different cars for no reason why are we going to pay $2000 for a bmw and spend $2000 repairing it to resell it for $3000 wouldn’t make sense ? And he buys a f series then what ? Are you going to buy it after ? Nathan doesn’t drive bmw same as I don’t so what are we all meant to do with this junk after be like a scrap yard doesn’t make financial sense for the price of a F series he can buy a 987

You getting sideways in yours yet? that's where the real smiles come from.

definetly agree more e39 content please
Your videos are always interesting. Personally I'd like to see some BMW's from the 80's or 90's get restored. Particularly the E36 and E39. Hope to see more videos whichever way you decide to go with the channel.

This.... 100% this. I'd love more content on the e39 540. In particular manual conversions and supercharging
first off wanna say thanks for all content and knowledge you've shared over years.
😎👍
Times are tough, comes to dollar$$ and sense on where to put money with builds, stuck with that problem right now, nice to see content as well.
Keep showing how to repair common failures in these kick ass cars. You make grest and highly informative videos. Keep it going!
BUT it sounds like an F1 going down the road! Totally worth it
But not everyone is a fan of F1 and most don’t have that passion for F1 including me and Nathan. I would rather have a track car then a car that only sounds like something it is not and will not be And that’s what the E60 M5 is. We’re 35 and 45 not 75
@@BMWDoctor you're absolutely right
For me though, I am that passionate about F1. I love the thought of having basically a super car for sub $30k that sounds like that. Maybe not a daily commuter but I love them
@@tomgamer that’s it you have to be passionate about F1 to love that car if not, then you won’t appreciate it like others do.
Old rich's people car will leave you broke. But its a joy to drive one that you rebuilt. I donr sell them i keep them
I found you channel back in 2015 due to your e39 540i content.
Great video, lots of good points made 👍🏻
Was starting to think we lost you!!! Welcome back
Nice to see you back Nathan.
Whatever videos you make on any cars I’ll be watching.
I just have to say Nathan I’ve been watching your Chanel since I was a high school kid day dreaming about an e60 thank you for the years of content
I came to the channel years ago for the e39 content. The older bimmers are the best and can be fixed so they become really reliable.
Thank you for alm your content and expert information on s85. I would like the Idea of uploading customers bmw cars. I'm doing a s85 swap on my e46 m3 now thanks to you.
Gas California almost $6 a gallon. We are screwed.
But Mr B loves you and small children and ice cream
In California premium is $5.60 a gallon , Thanks joe !
FJB💯
Lets go Brandon
Your channel is and has been sense 2015 a great channel with the BMWs.
Glad you took my advise 😉 its what was best for buisness…
😂😂😂
Cheers!
Nathan, I always enjoyed your BMW content. Specially the repair videos, it would nice if you keep rebuilding 2005 and earlier BMWs on your channel.
I own 3 bmws and keep them going like a boat owner your show was great for me but now you must move on to do what makes you a living
At the end of the day you personally have to like what you’re working on. If you like it then we will like it. That kinda thing kinda rubs off on viewers.
Please do a buyers guide for e60 m5 and talk about manual gearbox swap options. Love the channel
I would set up a poll page asking what viewers want to see and go with the highest answers. I feel that most of the giant creators are big because they have variety. Watchjrgo, rich rebuilds, and Tavarish all work on different brands and types of cars. You already have the mechanical aspect nailed.
I have E60 M5 with codes
002B35 DME: Misfire with cutoff cyl. 1
002B42 DME: Misfire impairing exhaust emission. cyl. 1
I already replaced 10 ignition coils, 10 spark plugs, x2 Fuel tank breather valves, x4 PCV valves, x4 o2 sensors, I replaced 1 fuel injector, fuel pump and fuel filter. And still I get cyl.1 misfire code
Do I need to replace camshaft sensor? crankshaft sensor? Something else?
Thanks
throttle body actuators
For W211 LegitSteetCars has a really good vlog. There really are more bmw channels then Benz.
I really think the older stuff (e39, maybe stuff from the early 90s or late 80s) are interesting. They are within reach of most viewers, and I think a lot of people want to learn how to fix their own cars that they can actually afford to buy (not the M series cars). Just my $0.02.
Good to see ya back . Might need a head liner;) will call you about it soon
That a tough one. Maybe make it a general car channel? Fixing broke stuff and making a few $ is always interesting. I'll watch the vids either way... oh, how about if people need work, have em on the channel, teach em how to fix what's broken?
Nice to see you again Nathan! I guess I’ll have to watch your Porsche channel to see you turn wrenches! Cheers
Probably open the channel up to more customer cars as you mentioned. Also, might be the time to start looking at the 8-Series (old and new generation). The E31 and G14. Not too many channels looking into the 8-Series.
First! Probably because it’s been so long Nathan! Let’s get some vids again!!
For me as soon as you open the throttle the noise of that V10 makes it worth the while 😅
Thats a 40,000 Euro car in Finland with such low km.
Pumps can be rebored, sleeved, rebuilt and often are it depends who you know and who can machine / fabricate these inner components,
Good points and I agree with you. I always tell people - buy an M5 if you have loads of money otherwise they will drain your bank account faster than a scammer 😂
Great video.
I appreciate the uploads man!
I love the E39, E46, content. I'd love to see E30 and E34 content.
Been here since 2017ish. I think you should have rebranded to Nathan’s Euro Workshop or something like that. No reason to totally ditch BMWs..you know so much and could keep doing customer cars and flippers along the way
How much for a pair of headlights
theyve doubled in price practically since 2017, that was a good enough reason for me to fix mine. I have two spare engines if youre interested. One of them blew due to rod bearings other due to low pressure from leaking internal oil supply line.
man i love your videos so much
Man that's a tough decision. How hard would it be to LS swap it. Is it cheaper?
1000 cheaper and more realiable and more powerfull only dwin side it wont sound like that beauty
Why not look for a classic BMW like a 2002 ti or original 8 series
Well I'm with most of the comments here as far as the older bmw stuff goes but from a money standpoint and viewership (more views per video) the turbo inline 6 repair customer car stuff may boost interest
Selam. BMW X5 e53 code 2003 model 4.4i kullanıyorum. Özellikle aracımın motoru sıcakken Aracımı D ye alırken one atılma, isteksizlik ve dururken 5 kilometre civarı öne atlama yapıyor . Lütfen cevap verirmisiniz?
I came to this channel to see why BMW suck. To me it was to learn each defect or crazy design flaw. I like how you show us in detail
You guys are lucky, with the gas prices.
I made a fortune fixing these shit heaps, retired now and drive a Tesla mod 3 , clean hands everyday 😊😊😊 happy happy happy
Maybe go to older vintage car restorations like the M1, Z8, Z3, 2002, and maybe a 503 🤔 Justa thought.
You do realize youre talking quarter million dollar cars lol
@@DamonBMW Yes
I have a Z3 to sell you...
Put an I6 rurbo in it with a manual.
Also does anyone know if the 6 speed manual transmission in rwd identical to the awd version?
That’s why I went with the 650i. Not that bad. A little bit better to maintain and better gas mileage.
How about start a “ Master-Class”, on certain models.
Can't wait to see cost of F10s and newer once they age like the E60 series.
Just found ur channel love it, u have the subs, if you wanna get paid from RUclips buy cool cars m5 540s etc… do cool stuff with them you’ll get views and make $$$$$
fix old bmws? majority of people dont have Ms anyway.
Why not LS Swap it? Seems to be tons of cars getting LS swaps now.
_I K_SWAP MINE. WAY BETTER THAN LS_
Would love to see some X5s (e70 and up)
Keep doing M stuff!!!
How about z4's?
Bring back lotto tickets / scratchers
Are you sell Forte Seal Conditioner?
I would love to see you keep fixing BMWs but truly if we are keeping it real. This is a buisness and if fixing BMWs isn't good buisness you should move on. I learned from you and several other real mechanics who know BMWs how to fix mine. So having that information if you move on to another channel/vehicle I'll follow. I enjoy you and the content you put out. No matter the make or model. Keep posting.b
Must keep it going somehow. Take customers cars in only after payment and just document the process.
You can also review F30 328i vs 330i and things like that or any other car you have opportunity to review.
the N54 base seems like a getter market. 335, 535 hell even the 740's
