I am a massive ultra boost fan boy and I feel Adidas need a big hit outside of the Yeezy line. I really hope they bring back some of the hype as Nike have it all their own way now. In regards to this shoe, I am glad they have reduce the price of 4D technology to something manageable. I would have got this pair but I wish they would have released it with the 4D sole in the ash green colour so it will have been similar to the futurecraft model they released all those years ago. Great review as always!

I think I passed on these because I was still upset I lost the raffle on the Parley 4Ds... I prefer the Parley upper to the UltraBoost upper. But the 4D technology is awesome!
Great review and even better photography! I think adidas is in the right direction in developing new tech; you can't depend on third parties like BASF all the time right? Also, with reports that Boost bottoming out, it is only natural to find something that walks the middle path - not so cloud like, but would be supportive at the same time. Bringing the tech closer to people (with the price tag down) is a good sign!

I don't know what's wrong with these people, CLEARLY you meant the default 4D green, and it's been shown to work perfectly with black uppers before. I definitely agree that either default 4D Green or maybe white would've been better, the black is too much.

Hi Sean! I’m just wondering how do these feel around the upper foot (the cage area). Do they feel snug or just nicely fit if compared to the 1.0 OG since you mentioned that you went TTS instead of going half a size up?
@@SeanGo What about the toe box area? I have wider feet and notice with my OG 1.0 I need to rock them without the insoles to get a better wider fit. I've heard on these that the knit is more stretchy and feels bigger. I think you said that is true so maybe my TTS with the insole in would work?
I copped these in my 1.0 size, which is same as Sean’s usual being 0.5 up. To me the knit feels stretchier, and not as snug as as the UB 1.0. It’s not a bad thing, but it’s different. The UB 1.0 knit feels like it locks down your foot more than the 4D version - the 4D version feels like it’s half way between a 1.0 and a 3.0. Also, I just noticed as well, the heel (and ankle) on the 4D isn’t as padded as the 1.0, so it’s not as constricting. You can see it on the profile where the ankle collar is different to a 1.0. I’d be curious to try on a TTS pair, but they only released online here in Australia.
I’m a size 11 tts and got these in 11 but man these look like a 11.5 to me I have 4.0s and they look so big compared to them I’m not sure if I should keep them
I'm so glad to be able to cop these easily on the Adidas app. If these released during the Boost heydays I will have to sell a kidney and my right arm to even think about getting a pair. So glad the hypebeasts and resellers have moved on.
I like the idea of combining the OG UltraBoost upper with new tech, but they just look off to me. The 4D protrudes out too far for my liking. Like someone did a custom sole swap with a sole that was a size bigger than the actual shoe it’s was being put on.
The drop in Singapore is pretty f-up.. Adidas.com.sg and Physical stores have different inventory so whatever drop online the store might not get it. When i went down to the store and ask about the 4D Ultra they saids it's Online Exclusive ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ dafuq? Same goes for the Parley 4D Uncaged in the whole of Singapore only one store has it and it was release for more then a month???????? The membership tier newsletter is pretty useless - what you get online you don't get in store and what drop in-store does not appear online... UGH!
interesting, but too pricey and too late... honestly I heard that they are not worth it since in terms of comfort they are much worse than usual boost.
I'll be honest with you these just don't appeal to me - would only wear these for running maybe not for casual /fashion wear. Good review but again not for me. 👍
@@keanlee2986 hmm I can't find the Adidas website right now for this pair, but it's unlikely given the licensing of Continental that they would allow Adidas to use their material without placing the Continental logo and branding on there. I could be wrong though, it just seems dubious.
sports4eva115 Yes, I agree with you. I found it odd that Adidas mentioned the Ultra 4d has continental rubber outsole but there was no continental logo of it. Perhaps it was just a marketing error? Or perhaps marketing fraudulence 😂
I was going to buy a pair but I decided not to. 4D hype was killed when Adidas hiked the prices so high initially. Adidas killed the 4D technology introducing them so early in the process. They should have held off until they could make it more affordable like today. Adidas was their own demise to the 4D technology. Now idc along with most others.

The outsole actually reminds me a lot of the adidas 4D Run 1.0. I can also confirm that the midsole does soften up over time, but not to boost levels.
