This was headlined by their 1 Basketball silhouette, and today I'm reviewing the "Carbon" colourway. People that are complaining about the price have their mind fixated on Essentials pricing which was never the intent for this line. This was always meant to be in between Essentials and the main line. People have quickly forgotten that the Nike FOG 1s were $350 and I don't recall people fussing about that at the time. I think that just goes to show the state of the economy and people are much more picky about what they buy. This is a dope and sleek collection. Happy it was easy to cop!
Not only that the first version was with Nike people are custom to paying $200 + when it comes to Nike vs adidas

The only qualms I have is that 1) the Nike stuff was at that price due to rarity, whereas this was meant to be mass produced. 2) Jerry’s designer money (I don’t forget that he worked in the MLB) comes from Essentials, he’s priced his main market out of the collection. 3) this collection is meant to be for athletes. Most athletes aren’t rich and won’t be able to afford more than 2 pieces of the collection.
It seems poorly done in terms of the collection’s ability to reach its market. Not to mention the slides which were literally changed in the most minute detail (I have the pair that those slide are modelled on which were EU exclusive) are extortion in regards to the price for what you’re buying. I get that he’s always meant to be premium but this literally goes against everything that would’ve made the collection a success

I received my carbon/sesame yesterday and I gotta admit it’s Probably the most detailed beautiful amazing sneakers I’ve ever seen in my life….im beyond impressed how they look in person. Got my money worth 🙌🏼

Good looking out! Always liked the look and wanted these and price incl delivery to my country is cheaper than a regular gr adidas shoe and even more cheaper than 95% of nike releases

I’m not a FOG or Essentials fan, but I really like this model. I would’ve grabbed a pair had it not been for the incredibly steep price point. The price combined with all of the sizing and comfort concerns pretty much rules out my justification for buying a pair. It sucks cuz I actually really love the Clay colorway. Hopefully they go on sale, great video as always Sean!
Great review. Showed my wife the sesame joints and told her I wanted them for my birthday which is next week. Saw her typing on her laptop shortly afterwards so hopefully they’re on the way. 250.00 is not that bad compared to what’s going on in the sneaker market.
These are steal at $250. When you get them in hand these kicks are incredible. People are either broke, hatin or trolling.

Half size up was the perfect decision for me and that’s very rare. With every adidas Yeezy and just about every other sneaker when reviewers say go half size, TTS would be perfect for me. I was very hesitant to go half size up to avoid going through the hassle of selling to buy my correct size. Thank goodness I bit the bullet and listened.

So you don’t need to size up in Yeezys? I have to size up atleast half a size in those more often a full size. Ultraboost are TTS tho.
Well at this moment the shoes are starting to sell out on both colorways so seems like after reviews, on feet pics, and size recommendations people decided to grab them or FOG just didn’t keep update the the stock on the site until this Sunday to show current availability, but I think everyone, except for a few people, can agree the shoes lineup was definitely 🔥🔥🔥
Mine just arrived today. These are straight fire. The quality blows away Yeezy 350 or 700. Ironically the only Yeezy that comes close is the QNTMs. I mean come one, 350 Pirates went for $240 and no one said anything!!!!

Tbh I love it and am waiting on mine to come in the sesame toe version. I think the reason it’s sitting is the core base that was pumped for it are only use to essentials. If your like me and been into mainline and FOG before it transitioned into essentials you know the pricing is cheaper than mainline and positioned above essentials.
Nah I think with all new silhouettes people were just waiting for video reviews and sizing guidelines. Most of the sizes on carbon carbon and carbon sesame have started to sell out

i never tried it without the insole unfortunately! Hopefully it fits you!
The extreme taper around the toe area will mess your feet up long term

Another great review Sean. Agreed on sizing. 0.5 up from TTS was not enough for me. Left was snug and fine but right had some discomfort near the top lateral side. May need to get one of those shoe stretcher contraptions. Ever use?
I have but for leather - suede shoes. These being all synthetic I’m not sure how much they can stretch…

I don’t think price point is too high compared to Nike fog 1 which was priced at $350, which if you remembered many complained the Nike fog1 it was cover in glue stains. Whereas these came almost flawless with better built and quality at a lower price point compared to Nike.
But the nike ones look much nicer
@@wwgw7 I guess that is subjective and personal preference I prefer the looks on the adidas one due to fact I drew up watching football or soccer and the predator stripes really speaks to me more.
Shoe is 🔥🔥🔥. I got every pair besides the sesame 86 low, love them all and the clothes are definitely an upgrade from essentials, I think it’s all fairly priced. I’m waiting for the brown leather bag to drop so I can cop!
The air fear of god 1 was cleaner but I like some of the other adidas models more than the nike stuff. I hope they keep releasing collections for a long time with various takes on classic adidas models. I'd love if it became the new yeezy (but not as over saturated)
Jordan 1’s, 4’s, and 13’s are sitting on shelves as well. It’s not a Fear of God pricing problem. This is a trend across all companies with sitting merch.
People complain about these for $250 but will throw out similar amounts, if not more, for some Yeezys with a regular slide out box.

Great looking pair, love the new design and silhouette but my fears of the shoe being too narrow for me were confirmed. So for me it was a pass. Maybe the long layoff from FOG releasing anything dropped support from their fanbase.

I don’t think it is necessarily the price. More so how Fear of God does not offer returns and people was afraid to pull the trigger on a new model and not being sure about sizing. But sizes of the carbon sesame have started to sell out.
Waiting on my pair to be delivered. I went tts I’m a size 8 but I also fit 7.5 hopefully I have no issues wearing them

It's not a bad shoe. There are a few issues with this model. 1st, this silhouette resembles the Nike Collab of FOG, the design seems a bit outdated. The second issue is the price, this should have retailed between $150-$200.
3rd they feel cheap in hand. Fully coated in TPU plastic wrecks them especially for the co$$$t. $150-175 I could see. They look decent but like you mentioned, it's a prior design slightly revamped for adidas, givin em outdated vibes. Packaging is better than the pair inside tbh
I just got back from destroying my lost found 1s in Colorado snow and looking at these shoes all I can think is how good these fogs would hold up on snow 😅

10.5 in nike ordered the lows in 11. They also snug so will need a 11.5 for this pair (full size up) I also noticed womans sizing is only 1 size up vs the usual 1.5
In that sense a 11.5M will be a 12.5W which is actually only .5 up from my womans nike sizing.... 10.5m/12W (odd findings)

people buy shoes from resellers 3x the cost. This is definitely another world, excellent quality, robust with an excellent use of materials. Obviously you pay for quality, not for scalpers. Have a good day

Shoes prices are not the problem this time, the cloth price is. FOG adidas looks like FOG Essentials+, but the price is FOG Essentials++.

Can you confirm the excessive creasing (like a fold) in the toe box area? I’m gonna get a crease protector if its true, since I just got this one as a lifestyle shoe. Not to play ball with.
Great review as always! I went up half a size and they were snug but comfortable. My foot is more true to size but I agree certain widths may want to move on from this one.
I love mine, I had to go true to size but this is my 1st time buying an adidas sneaker. J1 I’m a sz11.5/j3 sz11/ Nike sz12. Just my 2cents and I like it to be a little snug.

I had to order another pair because fedex dropped mine off somewhere else .. but I'm worried about the sizing, for ultraboost, nmd, I would get 9.5 i tried on sambas and I need a 9.5 my fosm rnnrs and slides are a 10 with some space in the front, I got the yzy qntm in a 10 and they're huge on me, my size in jordans and nike is 10....i got the carbon pair in 10 but I'm beyond worried especially having to order a second pair as they are almost sold out finally do you think I'll be good or should I have sized up?
Is it just me or is the cage super uncomfortable. Just tried my pair and the three stripes cage felt hard on my foot inside…..
I received mine a few days ago and they are great. Indeed similar to the nike fog, even with the packaging. I wished there were some extra laces with it. I also noticed that the tpu toebox creases extremely fast. Other than that they are good shoes, especially a solid first version
I wish they made a non-performance version that was purely primeknit without any fuse.
After getting these in hand, I thought that they look like an adidas shoe I would find at Ross. Nice looking shoe in hand, but not so much on foot.
the shoe is a bit stiff for my liking, specially coming from something as loose and wide as Yeezy 350s or AJ1s but I cant help loving the style and design of this she... wearing it right now. I also like this colorway a bit better than the sesame. it's my favorite looking shoe this year.

YEEZY won the hype space it did with Kanye cuz they removed the Adidas branding as a center piece, people knew the shoes is crafted as good as it can be from a big manufacturer , but they were associating it with YEEZY and not Adidas , which is looked at like the runner up to NIKE in terms of HYPE releases... so they could have made the 3 stripes a bit more backdrop on these shoes and let F.O.D shine a bit more !! just in terms of marketing !!

I picked up the Sesame colorway and went up a half size but I found them extremely uncomfortable. Beautiful shoes but unfortunately unwearable for me.

This pairs QC is fire when you compare it to the $350 counter part that pair had so many glue stains issues

I personally didn't like the Design.
The Hype behind the release was long and this wasn't impressive enough to me.
The aesthetic design was marked leaning to be luxury sneaker.
I noticed that the Fear of God x Adidas, collaboration was another Essentials Release but for Adidas. Plus this time it was overpriced.
Nothing special with the design. I feel like Lorenzo just phones it in with everything. The shape makes these too uncomfortable to me like most other FoG products. Toebox cramped and silhouette too narrow. It could've had boost in it too.
I actually bought it, then returned it.
I personally don't find this silhouette very attractive. It looks like something from 2015. It also doesn't fit my style.
Also, I am totally sure that if this wasn't a FOG collab, nobody would give a sh_t about this sneaker.
Good design, but at the wrong time. This is the worse possible time to release something this expensive, what with the sneaker market and the economy in general being what it is now. A couple of years ago these would fly off shelf and resold for much money.

Simply put I am not paying that price for 💯 percent synthetics. The pricing and value is paramount and that is where Nike FOG1 excelled, it was built like a tank, had a mix of leather and synthetics, also the Nike swoosh effect adds value to pricing.
This pricing does not reflect fair value. For the packaging to be a defense of premium price is a weak point from Jerry and adidas. Doesn’t change anything even if it’s packaged in 5 layers.
IMO the adidas campus X bad bunny off white cream is a better shoe, value and pricing.
For these adidas fog1, I don’t expect these to hold long term and will rip after a few years like yeezy 350 boost. These seems like a wanna be yeezy but not in price.
Packing and product might looking luxurious and futuristic yet I do not associate plastics and other synthetics with luxury or value.
For that reason I am out.

Very wasteful box and outdated
I stupidly opted for TTS in the clay pair 🫣. Easily the most toe crushingly uncomfortable sneaks I've ever worn. I don't think a 1/2 up would fix it. A real shame because they look amazing.
