Hi Jenny & Greg, thanks a lot for your great 🏸 tutorials - fantastic work - I hope the ad revenues will make you a decent second income in the future. The only thing which iritates me is that you both are lefties and I am not, 😀😂 because therefore I always have to think twice to get your demonstrations.☹️ I wish you all the best, from Germany🇩🇪. BTW: What's the probability that both of you are lefties?! Or do you play doubles together because both of you are?
@@charleslemagne202 Hi Carl, thank you so much for the nice message! 🤗 Haha, we try our best to include as many right-handed demos as possible, this Sunday's video is actually predominately right-handed demos with a few left-handed for any fellow lefties out there 😆
Being a tall player (6'2) I feel people just expect me to make these kind of kill shots all the time. Like everyone I miss from time to time, so cue the roars of laughter from my club mates, but I will definitely be trying out these techniques. I think players of any level can benefit , thanks guys
Perfect explanations. If I may add, what I see a lot in beginner and intermediate players is that the follow thru after hitting the shuttle is in an arc and should be in the direction they aim at. If you timing is just slightly off you drag the shuttle with the arc of your swing and mishit the shuttle. The arc needs to come after the " short straight shot" as it is natural around your pivot points.
Thank you guys so much for the video, specially for the brush off, I can’t really do it right now, but I am practicing using your techniques. Thank you again
Another great video! Great techniques, clearly explained w/ simultaneous video and worthwhile practice suggestions. You two are really refining your stuff!! Great work and continued success! Peace!
Would it be worth a video explaining the Surdiman and Thomas Cup tournaments? Are there differences to how a team goes about strategizing and the players they put forward? It's been very refreshing to see new faces from all the represented countries in these matchups. I didn't realize how exciting it feels to have so many new badminton matches to watch since the lockdowns.
Something I think would be cool to see is how you guys split up your badminton training, so which specific skills get practiced when and how often you train a certain technical point, for example net play or offensive shots. Is there like a list of things that get trained and then those things are repeated again in rotation, etc. Would be cool to see how it’s structured. Great content as always!
Careful Jenny! At 4:05-07, you seem to be swinging your racket over and past the net a little. I'm not entirely sure due to the camera angle, but keep up the good work!
omg this morning i was playing and struggling on how i can improve my net games. i always tend to panic when im face to face with the opposing team. Thanks Greg and Jenny! this is god send!! :D
Can please do a tutorial for backhand brush off kills my coach told me it should land at the other corner of the court and needed more slice into it but I kept missing the shuttle
@@BadmintonInsight Once I have passed my Level 2 Be award which hopefully will be very soon, if you guys are ever in Somerset on a Tuesday night, would love for you guys to come and do some coaching at our junior session. We promote your channel to our juniors to help them in thier badminton progression 🏸👍🤞
Superb technique explanation. At 5:32 Jenny's🏸 net kill just passed Greg's head 😅. Most of the time during feed Greg tried to get out his head away from Jenny's net kills😃
The other thing I would add is that it's very easy to get over-excited when you have an (apparently) easy net kill. So it's really important to stay cool and not try too hard to give the shuttle a huge whack, which in my experience often sends it into the net. You only need to win the point, not assassinate your opponents!
4:05 is it ok for the racket to go into the other side of the net though the strike was done on this side of the court? Also, if while swinging a racket, one in quick motion if the shuttle is struck twice by the racket is that ok? It wasn't a deliberate attempt to hit the shuttle twice but a pure accidental natural hit resulting in the shuttle to stay a tad bit longer on the racket due to which the shuttle was in contact with the racket twice before flying across to the other side.
is it possible to make a brush off for the back of the court.like it will be a brush but instate of dropping close to the net or mid court it will land on back at the court
I can't count the number of times I've cried in despair when I've hit a seemingly-easy win straight into the net 😂. I've been wondering. For doubles, is it advisable to use the brush off when returning serves? Or does the opponent's position when serving make it non-viable?
The net brush seems so hard especially when the shuttle is tight to the net. I seen pros do it on netcords but I still don't get how they can do it so accurately.
Can you do a brief video on recovering from or avoiding injuries? I have personally not played for almost an entire week many times due to a sore shoulder or knee.
Hey greg and jenny my simple question to you is that why kirsty gilmour plays for great britain in olympics and in competitive stage she represents scotland ?🙄 just asking
Great Britain is made up of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland and at some major games there is only a GB team. Others like Uber Cup it is individual! It's a little confusing we know!
when I played with some Malaysians claiming to be terrible at badminton, every net kill I made, got returned like magic. Somehow they just lift up their racquet and the shuttle got returned. I thought only top players like Lee Chong Wei can pull off these kind of shots, I was so wrong.
Hope you guys find this one useful, make sure you share the video with a friend who always misses an easy net kill 😂

Nice video! Would the shot at 4:06 be a net violation because from my pov it looks like it?
