  • ‪@Shalaco‬ and Phoenix of SFinBloom (www.sfinbloom.art) are on a mission to democratize gardening, and they're turning a lot of heads in the process. Riding through the streets of San Francisco spreading wildflower seeds, they aim to not only improve their city's ecology, but to show that you can do it, too.

I just got started! I bought some seeds from my local plant nursery and asked what seeds are native in the area. Bought a pound and went dumpster diving and found some pepper shakers! And I just hopped on my bike and rode around town. Sprinkled seeds on areas that are empty. It really cheered me up. My next step is to start a tree nursery in my backyard to see if I can start replanting trees. We had so many wildfires recently. I'll have to contact the National Forest if they can let me.
