- Keene's 160 series Dry Washer and Wet Washer is packed full of new improvements. The dry washer has been upgraded with a larger Blast gate providing greater air pressure control under the riffle board. The box now comes with bumpers for greater vibration control. The Wet kit has been completely upgraded with a all new hopper / grizzly system, larger pump, and a all new longer sluice box for higher capacity and greater fine gold recovery.
There is nothing cheap about the 160 construction; it is made of .063 aluminum, and it is extremely tough and robust. Over the 10 years plus we have sold them, we have not received a single complaint about construction or function. This is not a Chinese construction, and it is very strong. With all the bends and inner construction supports, it is super solid. I love this machine. It is light, fast, and easy to set up and fine gold recovery. It is the best in the business, and one of my favorite things is the Low dust feature. We are more expensive than most, especially if you compare us to China equipment. Not only do you have the best equipment, but you have a support team, mainly Pat and Mark Keene
The vibration system is the best in the business. We use a steal fan with a ring welded around the edges to contain the air so the vibrations is very active. The air pressure controlled by the dual blast gates in the back. The down side to this machine it does take a little practice and fine tuning is a must. Once dialed in correctly the recovery is amazing.
Present brother,!! Best video,, Mining gold 😱💯👍
drywashing is so fun. I always find a little gold but the experience is worth so much. It is a very adventurous youthful feeling i use the 140s. running a drywasher is a learned art. do it right and you will have over 90% gold recovery maybe more.
I can personally attest to the fact it creates a lot of static. Great little unit.
that what she said
Just received my machine today! Super excited to go out and give it a try. Very well built and packed. Looking forward to years of fun in the dirt (and water, if CA can get their regulations sorted out)!
The 160 does work well just be sure to watch the video and make sure your bumpers are set with slight pressure. Both blast gates are open a little.
I see pat still wearing his nugget from South America been out to the desert while he was there he put on A nice feed
Great equipment I love your video.
Maybe adding more aerodynamic blades made of lighter material, and smaller off balance weight you would get high frequency vibration at little air movement.
Dam I want one if these
Great!
"We shoulda probly did em separate" wow guys, great grammar. Very professional.
Some comments on dry washing, One, it can cause a cancer known as silicosis. Very bad stuff. Wear a good dust mask. It is also quite ineffective at recovering gold. Think about 50%. I had the experience of trying it at an outing in Arizona with several experienced dry washers. After cleaning out the mats and finding about 2 grams of gold, I decided to pan the finer material that went through the mesh mats and was trapped inside the dry washer. It was a puffer type. Some of the more experienced user said I wouldn't find much there. I actually found more under the mats than in them, The gold in AZ is very, very fine. Some I found went through a 100 mesh screen. These dry washers won't catch that. Also, you can miss larger pieces coming off the top screen/grizzly. My advice, try to set up some type of recovery system using water.
Bye for now. Happy mining.
Larry I agree with you a good mask is so important when dry washing. The new 160 work better than the old DW2 dry washers.
@@KeeneEngInc I was prompted to write my comments after watching the Aussie gold miners with dry washers. No masks. These guys are crazy. Do the not have a Workers advocate in that country?
@@TrueBlueYukoner Yes we have very strict OHS rules in Australia. I think they deliberately show the operator's doing the wrong thing for entertainment purposes.
What's nuts is Keene is charging $1000's for these.
we need a quiet machine!
Planning to try building my own unit first, but this one looks like it would work well. What is the cost though?
how do we get them in Australia cheers👍
We have a dealer in Au called Reeds Prospecting supplies www.reedsprospecting.com.au
Pretty cool unit, But it really needs legs on the front of the sluice so it's not shaking and moving around so much..
When pat and I used it the sliuce was fine. The only time we had flex was when the pressure hose banged into it. It can be deceiving since the hole machine moves around since it is mounted on the O rings Springs.
Fingers is that like Grizz? Never been around a dry washer, how much dose it weight. Cool!
This particular dry washer the 160 is only about 29 pounds. The blower hose vacuum hose tools etc is roughly 44 pounds,
Hi, what do the mats cost or can they bought elsewhere?
Your not gonna tell us where the secret spot is, its only gold, lol
Too expensive and too heavy to carry. Looking for back pack size (micro)
Someone needs to tell Pat that there is an age limit on wearing your hat backwards, it apearse he is past that age!!
super cheap looking. like a soda can material. You charge way to much for your stuff by a lot.
