Hello, with the Citroen DS, if you know the car, there is also a hydraulic lift, so if you put the car on the highest setting, the suspension is automatically harder, that was the case in the 80s, but everyone should know and it shouldn't be a negative point for a car
The pneumatic air springs used in production cars that allow height adjustment, increase the ride height by adding more air volume to the flexible bag, without greatly affecting the pressure. They do this with a rolling lobe or sleeved air bag. You can see it described in this video. ruclips.net/video/GN0fzFs0ZKE/видео.html i-Pace was available with passive or active dampers (aka active suspension). In the cars with active suspension, the engineers should have the option to alter the compression rate of the shock (and possibly the rebound rate too) to essentially enhance the effective spring rate. It's not a given that the i-Pace must be significantly stiffer (harder) or stiffer at all when raised.
I certainly agree on the trunk/boot opening. I was up against my garage door and plugged my home charger in, the cable went under the car and triggered the boot to open....almost scratched 😤
Had my fully specced 2019 HSE for two years now, driven 65 000km and i still love it! The infotainment isnt really that slow anymore after the updates from earlier in 2019. Turning radius is the only thing i agree with your list on i think. The part about air suspension being stiffer in offroad mode is self explanatory if you know anything about how air suspension works. There are bags of air on top of your struts (dampers), these gets filled with air to raise your car, giving you more ground clearance. When these gets filled they of course gets stiffer. Like blowing up a balloon. The more air you put in, the stiffer it will be. Offroad mode or hightened suspension mode is only meant to give you higher ground clearance, not more comfort :) The tail gate CAN be limited to only open a certain amount if you dont have alot of headroom in a garage. The manual will tell you detailed how to do this. You basicly need to open it and stop it manually by hitting the button, when it stops you can raise or lower it by hand and when you hit the open button again it will "save" that height for next time you open it and it will not open past the point you stopped it at last time. The only real complaint i have is the slow charge speed and the charging door. It is way too flimsy and not something you would expect from a car at this price point. They should have made it a more solid door with a locking mechanism like audi etron and porsche has. The little flimsy plastic door tends to bend and distort, making the panel gap uneven and looks really bad sometimes.
*BMW* have termed _sporty_ SUV's as SAV's. *Sports Activity Vehicle.* Very appropriate for this lovely looking Jaguar 8-))... EDIT What happened to the 5 things you liked about this car video? You didn't or haven't done one... _Yet!_ ;-))...
I have 18 inch wheels and it feels like an offroad car in offroad mode as it should. It must be firm to ensure that it does not bump into obstacles due to suspension travel when you drive on really bad roads. That was one of the key points when I bought the I-Pace, it is absolutely marvelous on difficult terrain and snow.
Hey, nice video! It’s good that you have some criticism, it shows that you remain (or at least try to remain) objective, and not justify your decision at any price. There’s still no video of what you like... Would be very interesting to see 😏
Thanks for kind words. You are right, there is cognitive bias toward justifying decisions. Regarding new video, I am not sure if people are interested in watching somebody praising their own car. :))
Good point. First: I live in a European city and model X is big. Second: wing doors. Third: production quality. Fourth: I have enough charging places so superchargers are not big point for me. Fifth: I wanted sporty car.
@@TheMaximBond For me it was a key point to not buy the Model X, I need to be able to put stuff on the roof like Kayak, skis. Also from an engineering point of view they seem to be way too complicated, time will show how reliable they are over time.

I have an HSE and it's the best EV on the market, especially for the price

I would also add, rear camera needs to pop out when reversing, it gets too dirty, too quickly. Mercedes have that sorted perfectly.
My rear camera doesn't get dirty. I drive mostly on asphalt though.

I would add the charging Speed AC and DC ! But Great Video
Why didn't you get a Model X? Faster, more supercharges, roomier, more efficient

@@domcroatian4044 all reasonable points except the wing doors.
What's wrong with them?
@@TheMaximBond I didn't own model X but some people say they are impractical for quick everyday use. They look super cool though.
We're not all sheep and like choice.....but also Tesla need a design department...they look ugly!
