I have been breeding worms for 25 years and had wonderful success 1 don’t over feed them 2 don’t let them get too wet 3 you can feed them peat moss 4 put some form of “blanket” on top of the bed this helps regulate the moisture 5 they love tea bags and coffee grounds
I only use newspaper, paper and cardboard for bedding. Use the method that works best for you. There are many ways that others are raising worms. Take care. 😎

Well..... They haven't crawled through so far. One video I watch suggested using small pieces of door screen with some caulk to cover the bottom holes. Others have said that red worms in particular live just a few inches beneath the surface. So, they likely won't try to escape out the bottom. Hope this helps.

Welcome aboard! Glad you're enjoying the videos.
A 1.6 lb bluegill? WOW! Amazing!
Informative video. Thanks.
Glad you found it useful, Dennis. 🙂
How do you know they won''t crawl through the drilled holes at the bottom of the bin?

How long before they breed and produce more worms
Probably 2-3 months. At least I hope so. :-)

great job
When do I change the soil and bedding and how many times do I feed the worms?
How much worms do you get after everything?
How long before make new worms
How’d it hold up?
IT held up well. Saw new growth and the project saved me a few buck on worms. :-)
Be careful with those bins; I looked on line at their warning which said not for consumables or fabric.
Thank you. I use them for worms only.
