Hi Shantel, Angelique, Julia, Chloe and the Camera Man!!! Here In La, we can't go into a store or Restaurant without a mask!!! Arrowtown looks like the Midwest here in America!!! TFS
Oh yes, I know it's hard to imagine what the rest of the world is like right now especially since NZ was Covid free and no restrictions for over 100 days so if felt like life as usual. We're back to social distancing and stricter measures which is a good thing since they'll get it back under control again.
Wow I have been to this town multiple times, mostly for work as an adult and once as a kid. However the last time I took my own kids we only went down to the river, walked down the main street and stayed in the hotel....I didn't realise how many things I missed on all my previous visits 😳 Thanks for sharing this video..... I will have to explore a bit further next time I am down that way 😜
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders Sure is,fingers crossed, now they need to test everyone that came in contact with them, it's a major blow for small businesses.
Arrowtown looks like such a fun town! Neat history! Interesting about the trees. We travel and have 3 little young kids also. This was a beautiful day for you all. The homes are interesting.
Good morning 🌞 🙋🏾♀️Arrowtown is even more beautiful when it's snowed and interesting about the trees, you may have noticed more pollen in the north so I hope none of you suffer with sinuses, love your version of the big European guy 👍🏾 and have you noticed the accent in the south is different from the north and great to here Tyler ,well I think it was, stay safe out there 😷 now that we are back at level 3 and 2.
Morning! We didn’t noticed to much of a difference with accents from the north to south but my one friend in Rotorua does sound a bit different. Yep...that was Tyler’s voice. Definitely a little uneasy with going back to levels 2 and 3. 😳
Another place to go in Arrowtown is “The Remarkable sweet shop’’ It is literally a whole shop filled with any lolly you can think of!! You can find it in some other places but next time you go to Arrowtown, go to the sweet shop!!
Yay! Another NZ video! I just remembered things that are "kiwi". Foods are hokey pokey icecream, kiwifruit, fish & chips with tomato sauce (not vinegar), pavlova and something only found in Gisborne is "All sauces chips". More kiwi things are the black singlet, stubby shorts and "redbands" gumboots, red & black checked swanddri, socks 'n jandals, longdrops in the middle of nowhere, tyre swings, the "buzzy bee" toy. These are just things off the top of my head that i can think of. You mention things in the vlogs that I think Ah - the answer to that is...! but by the end of the video, I have forgotten about it. As for the lockdown here this week - stay safe and ignore those negative nancy's!!
Hi from Omarama NZ. I lived in Arrowtown for three years and really enjoyed the ambiance. Peaceful (the main street was really the only busy part of town due to the tourists) and charming. Shame you had an overcast day in Autumn ("fall" for N American people) as the sun brightens up the natural colours. You seem to be loving your stay in our country which is great to see.
We did experience a beautiful sunny day in Arrowtown when we did the bike trails. It’s was spectacular with all the falls colors and bright blue skies.
@@GrowingUpWithoutBorders Okay I think I've got it now. You either filmed on different days or it clouded over. The lunch scene near the library was a good indication of the fall colours. Don't worry about the unwanted trees - they are imported, self-seeded pines that overtake the native trees. Same has happened with the birdlife unless steps have been taken to protect it (eg. on Ulva Island - part of Stewart Island). Keep up the good work, Guys!
When someone is talking the volume is at like 4 but then the music is at 9 ... so I turn the sound down when the music comes but then have to turn it back up to hear anyone talk .. :/
Yeah, this has been an ongoing issue. The music comes on too loud. Never said anything 'cause the productions themselves are so welcome. I really liked the down home, earthy imagery of this particular video. Very beautiful. Nice to see Chloe so happy, real nice.
Yeah and we’re back to level 2 and level 3 in Auckland. I’m hoping we don’t get back to full lockdown as this gvt acts super fast to contain the spread. We shall see...

Hard to believe we're back to level 3 again, stay safe, and good to hear Dad's voice.😊
I know it’s a bit of a blow since NZ was doing so well. They’ll contain it again since they do act super fast.
