Do some Warhammer 40,000 content, please! Warhammer 40,000 is (in my opinion) a cool, grimdark sci-fi universe, worthy of facing off against the star wars universe.
There's a Stellaris mod that adds the ships and vehicles of several Star Wars factions including the Empire, the Republic and the Rebel Alliance. It's being constantly updated and expanded.
hedgehog3180 Stellaris rocks, but the micromanaging and economy are too big a chunk of the game. More of it needed to be devoted to military action so that tactics and strategy could actually be used. Unless you are within 10% of the power rating of your enemy, you die within seconds and literally don't do any damage to the enemy fleet. It's bunkum and they need to fix it.
The Star Forge's power doesn't really HAVE an upper limit as far as we know, in SWTOR we learn in one of the Heroic quests from Revan's own journal entries as a Sith Lord, that he realized that the Star Forge had the capability to be more than a simple war production facility. It had the power to, given enough time, create an entire freaking galaxy. This is why I view the Star Forge as one of the most powerful "superweapons" in the Legends continuity.
If you think about it that wouldn't be bad whoever controlled it could just take all the materials of the current galaxy and reshape it into how they see fit good or bad.
@@hedgehog3180 "You can't just magic material out of thin air." In a Galaxy where space Wizards move objects or unleash electric energy out of nowhere... Cause you cant create force/energy out of nothing...
Little known fact about the Rakata, the innovations and technology of the Infinite Empire combined with their greater mastery over the Force was able to hold back both the Gree Enclave and the Hutt Cartels of Varl in early history. As for how the civilization managed to suddenly and inexplicably lose its connection to the Force, I direct you to a mildly-unknown theory that helps bridge it better: The Rakata in their early history sought to use technology that could be amplified and activated using the Force. However there are not that many materials in the known Star Wars galaxy that can hold a unique signature in the Force, except for one particular metal: Lignan Ore. Lignan Ore is a heavily Dark-Sided metal that was found in Legends on one of the moons of Phaegon III, Naga Sadow in 5000 BBY sent Saes Rogon and Yaru Korsin to excavate the moon for this particular material since it was able to provide a greater-increase in Dark Side Force abilities. However this proved to be a failed expedition at the end when the metal was dug up and ready to be taken back to Naga Sadow. Jedi Master Relin Druur and his padawan Drev Hassin managed to intercept the Sith and disable crucial systems aboard one of them causing it to crash-land on the remote world of Kesh while the other ship made a highly-unstable Hyperspace Jump that caused it to go forwards in time to 41 BBY, where the ship was eventually destroyed with all hands. Now here is where the connecting theory begins: 25,000 years before the events of the films, Lignan was considered a more common metal within the galaxy long ago and the Rakata managed to discover how to properly-harness the limitless Dark Side energies contained within for themselves. With Lignan, the Rakata managed to make greater strides into the scientific field that no other species since has been able to replicate to the same level of expertise. Eventually, the Rakata began their construction on the Star Forge using more than 50% Lignan-based components in its initial construction. Since the fact that Lignan is heavily-steeped in the Dark Side, it explains why those that use Rakatan Technology are more susceptible to the Dark Side and with an entire stellar facility like the Star Forge at their disposal the Lignan was stronger than ever. Due to the Dark-Sided influence of the Rakata, the Star Forge began to have whatever was made inside to have trace-amounts of new Lignan fitted into its works since the Star Forge knew the exact chemical qualities and properties needed to create Lignan using Hydrogen-Fusion. When the Infinite Empire collapsed and lost their connection to the Force, it wasn't because of any biological plague sweeping through their species instantly, it was because of the fact that at around this time, the Rakata began to rapidly burn through their supply of Lignan at a very self-destructive rate (if you were to channel and harness the energy from Lignan, after its use the Lignan turns to worthless ash), and that there were no other known deposits of Lignan on any of the worlds that they had control over. Since the Rakata had been using just Lignan to strengthen their powers in the Force their natural abilities were becoming less-and-less used after centuries of disuse. By the time the last of the Lignan ran out, the Rakata were completely weak in the Force to be able to do anything having been solely dependant on Lignan for so long that they had no idea how to operate properly without their "Lignan High".
I think star wars is better for not having that technology. It would cheapen things and eliminate the journey, which is usually a huge part of the story.
Fun fact about the Star Forge is that it's actually capable of synthesizing organic compounds too. In SWTOR, during an imperial quest on Nar Shaddaa, the player recovers a piece of the star forge from an enclave of Ongree locked in a vault by Revan during his war with the Republic. According to journals picked up during the quest, the "Infinite Engine" created all of the oxygen, food, and water that these Ongree needed to survive as well as continually growing itself; from an initial scrap that was little more than a splinter, to a device roughly the size of a large melon. For hundreds of years this tiny scrap provided for literally all of the needs of these people with no outside input other than ambient energy from the city-planet around it. Pretty cool stuff. Revan even theorizes in his journal that given enough time and energy the device could create its own galaxy.
Jesse Horn in addition to Rekata, I have a feeling that Revan and the Old Republic well be brought to cannon. And rumors of a remake for KoToR are feeding some of this, but also a couple throw away lines in Clone Wars.
I think based on feats the Gree surpass the Rakata. The Rakata use large scale space stations for terraforming while the Gree have hand held devices. The Rakata use stellar farming while the Gree have developed material synthesis allowing them to reassemble atoms into different elements. I also feel the Iokath should have had an honorable mention for their dyson sphere and advanced droids and AI

To everyone commenting about a Celestial vs Precursor match up, there is little information about either race therefore making any attempt futile. Secondly from the description EckhartsLadder gives in this video (of the Celestials) and recent videos (of the Forerunners), it is pointless invoking the Precursors since the Forerunners (a less advanced race) would beat the Celestials anyway.
Azendius well that would depend on two primary factors, how many Celestials are there and did the feats they did occur through force manipulation or hyper advanced technology. I would say if everything they did was done through force manipulation, the the Forerunner would be "blinked" out of existence through shear will alone, but if through technology then they would be evenly matched. Though the only reason the Precursor were defeated by their creation was because the Forerunner basically stabbed them in the back, not knowing the reality of there actions.
Precurssors were far more advanced then forerunners in every way, except military. They had the tools to make devastating superweapons that would wipe the galaxy, but they chose not to. I'm assuming it's because they had to uphold the mantle of responsibility.
You obviously weren't paying attention if you believe the Forerunners can beat the far, more advanced Force sensitive Celestial's I'm Halo fan but it always pisses me off how Halo fans straight deny fact.

Kenneth Kates I would think the regular empire would be more than a match for the Infinite empire. Just compare the size of the Star Forge to a Hammerhead vessel and an Executor class could handle it by itself.
@@wtpiv6041 you right. But any ground confrontation ends in the Empire being shit stomped. I doubt Rakatans forgot how to intercept projectiles with their staffs or at the very least bring battle shields for conflicts involving ordnance. But I must tell you that the Rakatan Empire made guardian droids to protect their terraforming supercomputer consoles and those things had blasters strong enough to threaten Revan and his gang when they went to get the Starforge Map on Kashyyyk. Almost 23,000 years after their creators' demise, these early technological creations survived and stayed dutiful. This some impressive tech, considering how humid Kashyyyk is and that the power core in those things sustained over thousand of years 😨
Thrawn, Arbiter. Ackbar is smart but didn't fish a trap until too late at Endor; which should have been obvious. Thrawn is well... Thrawn; and therefore will always win against the enemy. However if a Bilbringi situation were to be pulled: Thrawn would lose.
I think the Zeffo should be on this list, I know there recent and there technically canon, but they were a super advanced group, the only problem would have to be we dont really know a whole lot more about them
What about the Force Users that have those giant, spherical ships also powered by the Force? I can't remember their name right now, but Jacen Solo trains under them. They are super reclusive, and most of the Galaxy keeps a wide berth because their ships are no joke and they really don't like outsiders.
Pablo Cruz maybe the Esh-kha would be able to put up a good fight against the Elites. They were so dangerous that they were put in stasis by the Rakata so that they couldn't cause trouble in the Star Wars galaxy.
Only in hand to hand, past that, elites are toast and here's why: The DC-15A has a max range of 10km at max power setting. The plasma rifle only has a range of like, 200+ meters. It's obvious the DC-15 spits out the higher energy bolt. And a bolt with that much energy will definitely punch through the energy shielding that fails against black powder munitions that aren't too different from modern day rounds. Plus, the elite's combat harness is tin foil to whereas the clone's armor either has a chance of keeping him alive while unconscious from taking a bolt or safely absorbing the bolt with the trooper still up and fighting (much much smaller chance) and it's impervious to projectile munitions.
I wish the Chiss were part of this list. They had Megamasers, Spectrum Lasers, developed Interdiction Technology, drew energy from the core of a planet... Pog species
What if there was a rogue rakatan fleet with droid armies from the star forge and it was those droids that were so formative to the Vong, who responded in desperation with a virus (which removes one from the force) that only a few knew about and infected themselves as plague carriers to an unwitting Rakatan who then brought it home to the rest of the species and thus its demise.
Another way to rank them would be to use the Kardeshev scale. The Rakata would probably register as a Kardeshev 2 civilization, being that one of their greatest achievements was the Star Forge, which employed Star Lifting tech. But, it’s possible that they might have “ acquired” some of their tech, like Hyperdrives. Add I’m not sure if some of their stuff in “the Old Republic” mmo. The Celestials on the other hand would be a Kardeshev 3 civilization. They could create and collapse stars, create planetary systems, moving star systems, create and move black holes as well as harvest them, oversaw to some extent the Balance of the Force, were behind the Tho Yor and the Mortis Monolith, had some influence over the cyclic raise and fall of galactic civilizations going back untold eons, found someway to allow a few to live just as long, and were quite possibly responsible for the Great Hyperspace Barrier.

I dont think they should be on this list, but the Celegians should probably be mentioned. They dont have any majorly high tech equipment, but their mind-control ability can get them it. They can "broadcast" their thoughts to other living beings and make them do what they want without the force, and without a set language needed. Theyre from Part 2 of Knight Errant.

11) Behemoth Battle-cruiser, Starcraft vs Imperial Star Destroyer
This some impressive tech, considering how humid Kashyyyk is and that the power core in those things sustained over thousand of years 😨
Tony vs John? That’s actually very unfair to Chief bs Iron man would beat him.
That ending with resonance and obiwan, anakin, ahsoka gave me goose bumps
Admiral Preston Cole Vs Grand Admiral Thrawn or Admiral Ackbar Vs Arbiter
Don'tTry throw in admiral Trench
With their respective fleets, or give each commander 25 ISD-II?
Daniel French give thrawn 3 isd 2s and Cole the Everest 3 halcyons and 5 Paris class heavy frigates
Thrawn, Arbiter. Ackbar is smart but didn't fish a trap until too late at Endor; which should have been obvious. Thrawn is well... Thrawn; and therefore will always win against the enemy. However if a Bilbringi situation were to be pulled: Thrawn would lose.
Also because of the vast technology gap even between the Covenant and the Empire, only Covenant ships would stand a chance.
0:01 Turn on subtitles and look at what it thinks his name is.
Crowd slaughtered XD
I think the Zeffo should be on this list, I know there recent and there technically canon, but they were a super advanced group, the only problem would have to be we dont really know a whole lot more about them
I really enjoy your lore list videos and this is no exception! You're great Eckhart!
Oh hey I'm kind of early I have a whole playlist dedicated to ur channel I like to watch it with my father keep up the great work (:
+Doodle dee Gaming that's awesome! I'm glad you and your dad enjoy my content, and that you both can bond over Star Wars
Spear of Adun (Starcraft II) vs Eclipse-class dreadnought/Eclipse-class Super Star Destroyer
I do like the vs. But also, having a guide to the Star Wars lore is awesome. I'm always interested in that!
Always good to keep mixing it up man
Ang’ti don’t even get a mention?
Have you ever considered of doing lore videos of individual species themselves? I think that could be rather interesting.
Because it would be and I second this!
I know I'm late on this one but did the Starforge require resources to create the ships and droids? Or was it some immaculate perpetual genie machine?
It siphons direct energy from a star. Like a replicator in star trek it turns energy to matter.
"Been on a star wars vs kick" no its much more ive been sitting here for 2 weeks waiting... anyway thanks for doing these again!
Thank you I did enjoy your work I appreciate it and I wish the force is strong in you brother
The celestials vs the precursors from halo
Precursors
Shrek
I'd like to see a comparison between the advanced races of all tomorrow's and the advanced races of the Galaxy far far away
Great video!
Could you make more of this and for other like Halo too?
+TheKahlez sure
+EckhartsLadder Ever thought about making a Halo vs serious? Xeelee vs Precursors (or Flood) would be a interesting topic
5. UNSC
4. Covenant
3. Ancient Humans/San'Shyuum
2. Forerunners
1. Precursors
The Unknown civilization that constructed Iokath, The Gravestone, and Eternal Fleet.
How about Umbarans EckhartsLadder?
Yes the umbarans had giant centepide like tanks that could go underground, they also use there hands to control there Starfighters and tanks
What about the Force Users that have those giant, spherical ships also powered by the Force? I can't remember their name right now, but Jacen Solo trains under them. They are super reclusive, and most of the Galaxy keeps a wide berth because their ships are no joke and they really don't like outsiders.
Take That Back Forerunner Vs Rakatta.
Awesome video
Legends is so AWSOME!!!!
THE IMPERIUM OF MAN VS THE CITADEL ALLIANCE please.
Eckharts what's your nxt versus vid gonna be? it be cool for another Star Wars v halo, (clones vs elites 😉 😉)
Considering Elites can go up against Spartans, the clones get curb stomped
Pablo Cruz maybe the Esh-kha would be able to put up a good fight against the Elites. They were so dangerous that they were put in stasis by the Rakata so that they couldn't cause trouble in the Star Wars galaxy.
I'm hoping for one off of the list I put up.
Maybe elite minors vs shock troopers or something would be more balanved
Only in hand to hand, past that, elites are toast and here's why:
The DC-15A has a max range of 10km at max power setting.
Can you do a lore video my fav Sith Lord Darth Malgus ?
I'd say the chiss would deserve number 4 or 5 or at least a mention.
Finally a top5 again
EckhartsLadder you should do a Star Wars video about the history behind the galaxy
I wish the Chiss were part of this list. They had Megamasers, Spectrum Lasers, developed Interdiction Technology, drew energy from the core of a planet... Pog species
Rakata and Celestials are pretty spot on
What if there was a rogue rakatan fleet with droid armies from the star forge and it was those droids that were so formative to the Vong, who responded in desperation with a virus (which removes one from the force) that only a few knew about and infected themselves as plague carriers to an unwitting Rakatan who then brought it home to the rest of the species and thus its demise.
I enjoyed this! I like all your videos... haha
I like both the lore videos and the versus videos.
Death Star 1 versus Death Star 2
What kind of matchup is this? Death star 2 is superior in pretty much every way
Hi Eckharts I have a some suggestions
1. nau nau vs the flood
2 Reapers vs the flood
3.Reapers vs nau nau
4. Silentiums vs tge flood
5. Vong vs the flood
6. Rakata vs flood
7. Celestials vs the flood
Or whatever from Star Wars ,Mass effect and halo
Also forreruner vs celestials
Video Comentaror I'm for number 1.
Ilian Ivaylov Btw Българин ли си?
xaxaxaxaxa?
Zeffo from fallen order
I like the videos keep on making them bro
i like the change up, do versus battles but keep up top 5 and keep doing lore
Great video!!!
Makes me want to play Knights Of The Old Republic and read Dawn Of The Jedi.
Do this for all of sci fi
Great video. Top 5's are good. One, we get a brief explanation of each item on the list; two, get ideas for future versus. A top five most powerful force users from Legends, either all around or split into two lists, one for light side and one for dark.
+Kenneth Kates I've done a combined list a while ago! If you search for it it should come up
Found it. Slight modefication to my suggestion, aside from individual ranking for light and dark sides, a top 5 force beings/entities (excluding Sith and Jedi) from Legends. If not already done. :P
Could also do Top 5 most powerful sci-fi franchises, for the sole purpose of versus ideas. I'd have to believe Star Wars is top 3, after all
This was an awesome video!
were the ones retconned to be the celestials?
Does "extraterrestrial" even apply to SW? Terra is earth, so it should be extra(planetnameinlatin)strial :D
True
BC-304 Odyssey (Post-Unending, no ZPM) vs A Star Wars ship of your choice (possibly an Imperial-II Star Destroyer)
Awesome video. 10/10
if revan didn't destroy it the star forge would be a perfect to make the death star
In the Legends lore, the Gree actually built the ecumenopolis of Coruscant, which I feel should give them some brownie points...
Very interesting video. ♥ Until now, I did know Celestials just from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Suggestion, maybe try starcraft vs starwars? Tarren, prototos and zerg all have different fleets to throw at the many starwars fleets
Brilliant job.
I know you said galactic versus is going to be put on hold but I'm going to suggest something that might intrigue you. Halo, Star Trek and Star Wars team up to take on the Forerunner. Might be far fetched and could take a while but it would make for a interesting video
u do great vids... i like the kinda doc episodes more than VS episodes with ships from completely different universes... some are ok but one sci fi universe is usually way to different to compare on ship vs another one based on utterly different sci fi
Most advances races in all of sci-fi
Most advanced race in Sci-Fi would be Time War Time Lords followed by Time War Daleks
Mr Woosh or Q from startrek
You forgot the ssi-ruuks ion paddle blasters which cannot be blocked by lightsabers
Tyranids (Warhammer 40k) VS The Flood (Halo)!
I think its time we send something more substantial against these damned flood haha.
Also should do some of the empires in 40k (Like the Imperium) against the Galatic Empire (Star Wars) :P
You should do something from Star Wars vs. either the faeros or the hydrouges from the saga of seven suns.
Rakatan is my favorite in this list
I thought most people know you do lots of list videos I loved the ones you used to do.
